Works great. Was able to reset my reverse light short circuit and code out my adaptive headlights. It would be nice if you could browse the options without having it connected to your car. Also it can be hard to find menus and options a search function would be nice. looking forward to future updates. Highly recommend this if you own a e90 and do your own maintenance.

Absolutely amazing tool. Coded my new injectors and my nav display for dvd in motion with ease as well as coded out other annoying features. Great for diagnostic purposes. Only thing on my wish list would be for more detailed descriptions on some of the fault codes but doesnt detract from its useability. Highly recommended for any do it yourselfer. Right up there with inpa but much easier to use and understand. Make sure you have a high quality and compatible cable and device. Looking forward to more updates for this software (which has been quite often). This tool has more than paid for itself!

Incredible app. Fast, stable, and very powerful. I've used other coding and diagnostic apps, and protool is hands down the best one I've tried. I've been able to clear errors, update VOs in seconds, and it's even seemed to pick up stored fault codes other scanners missed. The interface is simple and intuitive, has clear options to back stuff up before editing. Compared to a scan tool or laptop It's well worth the money.

I've found this app provides very impressive functionality, especially for the money. I can't imagine that anyone that has actually used it for what it's intended to do isn't extremely impressed. I've pushed many of my professional BMW technician friends to give it a try and they've all been very happy with it. Features and functions can be inconsistent from one model or platform to another but if you understand how BMWs work and how they are developed you understand why that is the case.

Pros: Great all in one app, Makes coding simple enough a beginner can do it. Good color layout easy to read. Cons: After running pro Tool the last 4-5 months it is becoming a painful to use app, with non-stop connection errors. Customer servive is still responsive. UPDATE: updated app to better work with kdcan cable and also was sent a bt adapter. I connect ever time now, still see connection drops. But that is rare. customer service very good. bump up to 4 stars.

It's finally getting better, way better. The newly added support for older models Gen1 type with a usb k-line adapter (for my e46) as well as continued support for newer models (my e66) Gen2 using a d-can USB adapter, this is the hands down absolute best program for the small license price. I'd honestly say purchase the whole license package, both the diagnostics and the coding, and there is nothing you can not do while repairing or personalizing your car for your needs. THANK YOU!!

This program gives you full access to diagnostics and data in real-time, even as gauges in many cases. The coding features are very useful and the only way to complete certain jobs. The company is very, very responsive in their Facebook group, and I have had several direct conversations with them via messenger when I had questions.

While initially I was frustrated with the app, I've come to learn my frustrations are due to other things on my car and NOT this app. After contacting the dev team we determined the issues I was having was because of my JB4. They were also kind enough to walk me through an issue I've been having with my headlights and some coding problems. Once connected, it's very powerful. I've altered my mirrors, quick blinks, corner lights, video in motion, welcome lights, and more. A++

Search through the whole app. Very impressed however I could not buy a license. Not that I didn't have credit or credit cards. When I signed in using my Google account it wouldn't go to anything else it like froze up. Good night contact bimmergeeks because I do not do any kind of Facebook or other social networks. Maybe if I could buy a license I could give it a better rating. Had to purchase a different tool in order to do what I needed to do to my bimmer.

I never leave reviews but I had to spread the word, if you own a BMW get the full master membership, don't even think about it just do it. I'm grandfathered with the iCarly app (apparently they now charge a subscription fee) and since getting Protools have haven't used Carly once. Protools is such a powerful program and it keeps getting better and better. The team is constantly growing and maturing the platform and the customer service is hands down the best, Period!

Quick and easy way of coding instead of dragging out the laptop. Don't get too caught up with the fact that there isn't a full user manual out there because any coding you can find on the forum boards, you can do through this app. Just find the parameters to update and you're golden. Support is amazing- I had an issue, posted the FB group, and one of the team members personally reached out within minutes to assist. The guys over at BG do a great job at keeping the development ball rolling.

This app has been an excellent experience very well thought out and put together makes coding and troubleshooting super easy for the most experienced and novice enthusiasts really blown away puts all the others to shame the bimmergeeks staff are super knowledgeable and very fast at responding to all my questions and inquiries simply amazing

Perfect app for DIY BMW troubleshooting. The developers respond promptly and genuinely want your experience to be smooth and simple. Consistent and well explained updates across their social media channels. If you have a BMW and want to be able to work on it yourself, this app is a must.

App keeps crashing when trying to view live data and Bluetooth adapter is extremely slow. Sometime takes 10 minutes to identify the vehicle. Older version of app worked better

The app occasionally requires internet connection and refuses to work without it, with no way to bypass, right as I'm needing it to troubleshoot my car hundreds of miles away from nearest cell tower. The app was a good start, but suffers from poor quality of user interface... ***edited: updated my review based on developer's response (yay! First time since my initial review). 3 stars for now, until the "no internet lockout" issue is fixed.

Unable to buy license. Contacted bimmergeeks to see if there was any way I could purchase a license with any other payment method other than PayPal. It was suggested that I "pressure PayPal into unlocking my account". Really would love to use this app but support is less than helpful in helping me get a license purchased.

I'm in the UK, asked for guidance on which adapter to buy and was informed Thor adapter is compatible. It arrived today (eight days from Europe?!), Protool app won't connect. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the ProTool app, ensured the flight-mode is selected. Adapter connected in Wifi. Ignition on (tried with engine on and off) verified Thor is illuminated, Protool states "Error identifying vehicle type...". Really dissapointed, now have a useless £60 adapter. any suggestions? Update: I bought the ‘Thor’ adapter. I do not know which is at fault at this point), but the service from ProTool in their communication and their help in trying to diagnose the fault, well, customer service is second to none! I’ll update the review of the actual app if I get it all working.

The "corruption" error has been fixed but my phone wont stay connected to the BT adapter. The adapter is set as a trusted app and I restarted my phone but it wont stay connected. I click "confirm" on the "protool has been disconnected from the interface" error. The app will attempt to connect and I see green LEDs lit on the adapter. My gage arms rotate fully then the app loses connection. I gave the app one additional star for the fix but what is going on now?

Love the app. A little hard to understand some of the coding processes, BUT tech support is AWESOME!! BimmerGeeks was very easy to reach and remotely connected to my car and assisted me with with every issue I had. I purchased the master license, and I'd say money well spent. Thanks BimmerGeeks!!

The best BMW coding alternative to a laptop with INPA, and much easier to use. The app is reliable, works reliably with Bimmergeeks OBDII cable, and customer support is responsive. Register/code batteries or code a radio, or delete TPMS in 5 minutes with just an Android cell phone. Only improvements I'd suggest at this point are more extensive help / FAQ docs, and more extensive parameter explanations.

UPDATE: Its working GREAT again after I made this review.SURE WISH THE APP WAS ALL IN ENGLISH! Worked great with the bluetooth till the bluetooth adapter failed. Been 3 months and I'm still waiting for the replacement. I figured out how to use the hardwire set up and that worked good for a minute....now it wont connect to any type of BMW. I work on BMW'S for a living and this tool has failed me!

I have the app installed on a BlackBerry Priv and have used it to connect to both of my e90 BMWs with no problem, using an INPA compatible cable. I also purchased the full licence and am quite pleased with the functionality. I will be looking forward to future updates and ability to flash :)

Does not do everything toolset does. Some features are diasbled "due to liabilities" Ie; cannot code for keys. Do not believe google. Would have been nice to see what its capabilites were before buying. Not sure if anything else is disabled yet. Fun toy for adjusting your signal light flashes with though.

Great app able to do many items rather quickly. my only complaint is why there was another $8.00 roughly added to the price of this app? Yes and I apologize after I looked high and low finally received the bill and it showed that the 8 dollars was because of Vermont sales. For some reason could not find that in the beginning my bad it's still a great app!

Really easy to use and code. The scope of things you can modify relatively easy is amazing, Also that it asks you to backup beforehand is awesome - seeing that there is always a risk when doing these types of updates. Thanks again protool team!

Amazing app. Allows for plenty of BMW specific diagnostics as well as coding. We work with a lot of BMWs and I use this on the cars almost as frequently as the laptop. Doesn't seem to work with pre 2000 generations.

Absolutely the best bang for your buck when it comes to BMW coding and diagnosis work. As an added bonus they are one of the most responsive app developers out there. Extremely common to see people asking questions on the FB page and the support team answering within minutes.

It does just what it says it's supposed to do. And they're adding more content every day. The only downside is you have to use their specific Bluetooth adapter. So if you want to change between applications you have to change adapters.
