ProTouch

Pro: Quick and faultless setup on my android phones. Simple to understand how to connect to WiFi and config ProTouch E WiFi thermostat. Con: I don't have a 'one touch' option to select 'ALL' 7 days when making schedule changes. EDIT Just read some previous reviews..I'm an IT guy so maybe I found it easier than most but its like I reviewed a completely different app lol.. Detail: I did the setup on 3 different devices on 3 different floors of my house with no connection or setup problems.

If I could give this less than 1 star I would. Setup is a nightmare - you have to clear the cache immediately after installing, then hold down 2 buttons, and when it finally found my system it threw a fit and said it couldn't find any devices. None of this is explained in the manual, only in other people's reviews. And then I had to brick all the wifi kit in my house because protouch only works at 2.4GHz. I've uninstalled it.

This is app and thermostat is shockingly bad. The floor heating itself is amazing and probably one of the best things i have bought for the home. However to set the thermostat and app is like a mystical riddle for you to never know, none of the selections actually make any sense and you dont actually no what you have set. It needs a current status view to see what is actually set. I have had many attempts to adjust the timer and app but mine is permanently on Monday - Saturday. Sunday it is off

C'mon guys, the whole point is to make things easy for your customers. This was not easy or intuitive. Setup/linking was difficult and there were no hints in the event of a failure to link devices. Once linked, the app is full of jargon without hints or help available. Nor does the terminology always correspond to what's in the manual. So I've spent a long time faffing with the app and a long time reading the manual and I'm still unhappy. Three out of three if this was intended, protouch...

Just like many others I've not been able to connect via WiFi. Possibly down to two issues. The first is poor documentation included with the product. ProWarm have a specific pairing manual on their website which advises holding the UP and DOWN arrows together until it shows F2. This will get the WiFi symbol flashing. The second is that the app only works on 2.4GHz WiFi. I'm not going to delve into my router settings it just for this app. Pretty disappointing.

I can't say much about it really. It installed physicallt quite easily, but the programming of it has been incredibly difficult. Coupled with the fact that it doesn't connect to the WiFi, and takes a few minutes every time you attempt it before telling you its failed. There is very little in terms of help for troubleshooting as well.

I was apprehensive based on other reviews, but I have had no major issues. It installed without issues and we can now control the heating wherever we are. I had one issue with the max floor temperature being ignored- I emailed Prowarm and they told me how to solve this. It would be good to see floor and room temp at the same time - Prowarm said they would look into it. I have no complaints. works as intended.

TIP: Set your WiFi router wireless signal to 2.4ghz just for the setup process. Once your thermostat is sync'd switch back your WiFi router to its previous settings (often dual band so both 2.4 and 5ghz) and app will still work. Generally the app works well, the instructions are poor when it comes to the "schedule settings". Wake: means what time you want the heating to come on (on) Leave: when you leave for work (off) Return: what time you return from work (on) Sleep: when you go bed (off)

The builders installed this thermostat for the underfloor heating in a garden room, so to remotely turn it on and off was brilliant. Struggled to connect it to the wifi but managed it after playing around with a few things. It's working great now. My only issue is how do you link it to Google Home? When I go into the Google Home app to set up a new device it cannot find the Pro Warm thermostat, and there is no Pro Touch app listed under the 'Linked Services'. Yet, in the Pro Touch app under 'Supported Third-party Control', Google Assistant is listed.

Wow. As far as I can tell it's impossible to set this up. Instructions that came with my thermostat were for a different version of this app that bears no resemblance to the current one. The app itself is wildly unintuitive. Uninstall, not worth wasting any more time on this!

2 stars because it works and its fairly easy to install. Now every time i use the app it tells me to upgrade main module which fails after 2% of upgradig every time. Schedule doesn't work as it always coming back to Monday. Alexa voice control - it would be nice to know what skills we should activate to make it work but no manual says that. There is no dedicated skill for this. At this time i wouldn't recommend it, sorry.

Quite clunky, but I did get it to work when I put a WiFi extender to strengthen signal to the thermostat even though WiFi is normally strong in that location. I think the WiFi signal struggles when the thermostat is embedded in the wall. Once the signal was OK it paired OK with the app and now works fine.

Its been amazing. For those who are complaining. You read to change your WiFi router to 2.4ghz by itself. Connect your thermostat, then you can change your router back to the settings prior. Its the same with all these thermostats. You really should read up and gain knowledge before writing a review.

In reply to Daniel, the app is now working, in the app go to 'me'. 'settings' and 'clear cache' The unit only works on 2.4Ghz frequency, make sure your router is set to this. To put the unit in pair mode again hold down both up/down arrows for 3 to 5 seconds with the display lit, it will display f2, you can then use the app to connect.

Couldn't connect in normal mode - had to use IP mode - one phone is now working but I can't add a second phone (so both myself and my wife can control it) once connected it's easy and straightforward to actually use (need to add that second phone, though!)

Can no longer open my thermostat controls, I'm getting an error 'oops the control panel crashed' Very difficult to set up we had to hunt for the relevant instructions online which still didn't have an exact resemblence to our thermostat Once it's working it works great but there are frustrations surrounding it

The app doesnt line up with the instructions, you need to roll back to a prior version of the app. You should have updated the app qitha progressive rollout and ensured it works. Im going to have to ensure this product isnt sold by the 3rd parties you work with for distribution if you cant operate your app development properly as its a key function of the equipment that is now unusable.

Read people's comment here. I have spent over an hour trying to get the app to work. Changed my WiFi settings etc and yet it does not work. No point having an app to save time and make life easier if you spend hours trying to get it to work and it still doesn't. Waste of time.

Very poor user experience. Complex to setup. I managed to set up one thermostat but gave up on the second one after 30m... My advise: buy another brand. I'll try if I can replace the thermostat with something better.

Doesn't connect! We have excellent broadband, have tried both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Agree with the majority of reviews here which mostly seem to be one star. Can see by the fact there have been zero replies from the app developers to any reviews that this is an amateur hour operation. Pro Warm, sort yourselves out and hire professional devs to release a decent app.

I have been trying for the last two days to link the app to my prowarm WiFi underfloor controller, with no luck at all!!! Keeps saying failed to add!!! Useless

Connected up really quickly to both my controllers and it worked well.so been impressed do far. And would recommend it

The app looks nothing like what is on instruction sheet. The options are all dead ends. What a waste of time, effort and money

Worked for a few weeks and now crashed completely. Can't get connected to control thermostats.

Utter rubbish absolutely does not work and the manual set up on the device is also totally shocking.

I have been trying to connect a pro warm protouch thermostat to the WiFi all evening, it does not work. Has anyone got a solution?

This app doesnt work with alexa if you have an existing smart life app. Instead you should use the smart life app and add the thermostat as a heat sensor to enable it to work with alexa

OK once you get going - had 2 attempts to get the first thermostat added but once I did, the app is great.

Bag of nuts. Tried both ways to connect several times and instructions just result in continued failure

Managed to add a new thermostat but the instructions were pretty bad!
