Beautiful! Stunning! So creative! It is completely immersive, but not 100% relaxing as there is a time component. But only a bit, and is is so beautiful. You need to prune your tree so it can reach the light and hit or miss certain targets. If you fail to do so, or if you cut too much off your tree dies. But it is some of the most creative game play, it is very interesting to see how certain "cuts" make changes to the trees direction, and speed of growth! It may even help me in my garden!

Fantastic design and innovative idea. I found it pretty easy though, only getting the blue flowers once you finish regularly was quite a challenge at times. And so I would've wanted that to be the baseline difficulty. Which kind of spiked in the last 2 or so levels. But I still had a blast and hope that there will be a sequel eventually that maybe raises the difficulty overall a bit and possibly adds some new concepts.

This game is beautiful, relaxing, but still requires a little thought. Use the controls to prune a tree towards sunlight to bloom but watch out for hazards that can threaten growth. If a puzzle is challenging the game allows you to skip it so you can try the next level and come back to it later. I hope the devs put more levels out, i really enjoyed playing this.

This is an exceptionally beautiful game, addictive to play while both challenging and calming. The usage of aesthetically pleasing mechanics provides a silent story of growth, perseverance, and hope that makes this game an emotional masterpiece among other puzzle games like Monumental Valley. It's short (completed within a few hours) but has a lot of replay value; still would love to see more! Also has no ads or pressure to review. Wish I could give this more than 5 stars, it deserves it!

wow. this is a stunning game with beautiful graphics and a peaceful soundtrack. the levels can be challenging and require restarts but and teach you how to progress and can be beaten in whole or partially. some of the most compelling levels are those available after hearing the game the first time. the previous levels are reopened with a challenge with a lovely artistic stellar constellation tribute to your progress. simply a wonderful alternative to noisy adrenaline have.

It's beautiful and relaxing. The only thing keeping it from a full five stars is the rather lengthy (although admittedly aesthetically pleasing) opening sequence followed by the need to do that one level every single time. If there was a way to skip this and just pick up where I left off, it would be nearly perfect.

This game is being sold way too cheap! The visuals are beautiful and the soundtrack is sooooo satisfying, that I find myself sometimes just sitting here listening and not even playing lol. This game is great for any age group. Controls are smooth and couldn't possibly be any more simpler. There needs to be a sequal, PLEASE!

Really great artsy indie short. My only gripes are the camera really gets in the way of itself trying to zoom in after I've already zoomed out. Auto camera is important for some stages but there should be a manual override. Also pruning can feel a little imprecise on smaller phone screens. Highly recommend this otherwise.

You like trees? You like growing things? You like altering the path of nature and playing god with tree growing physics? This is the game for you. Prune is very relaxing and can be challenging depending on your playstyle. Visually the game is stunning. Although, Chapter 4's first Blue Flower may not be behaving correctly. When expanding into the blue mist, the blue flowers do not grow and the challenge remains incomplete.

Beautiful, short game, but I found the gameplay too random. It's not always easy to control the precision of your cuts, or the spawning of your tree. And while the gameplay is perfect in short bursts - as everyone has pointed out you have to re-do the tutorial every time.

Surprisingly fun, relaxing, and beautiful game. I was really sad when I finished the it. I wish there were more levels and/or chapters. That being said, this is one of those games that doesn't get old when you replay it, although it would be nice to have more challenging levels.

Apparently the developer made a mistake when programming the screen rotation feature. Instead of allowing you to change the orientation, it forces you to use landscape when the phone is tilted. Even though I turned off auto rotate on my phone. I wanted to play this in bed, which means my phone is technically tilted to the side but I'm viewing it as if it's in portrait mode. The app ignores my 'lock to portrait' setting, and rotates to landscape when I do not want that. Completely unplayable.

Very nice and relaxing game, the absence of ads is most welcome and well worth the cost of the app, one gripe however is that there's no way to disable the automatic switching between portrait and landscape mode which means that the game is impossible to play whilst laying down! Otherwise 5 stars.

I made the mistake of believing the hype. Don't get me wrong, it is an incredibly well made game. But it's touted as a sort of Zen puzzle game, soothing and focused. It isn't that. It's a challenging game, but relies on speed for that challenge. Which is fine, but not at all what it was hyped to be, even in the play store description. If the speed was adjustable, I could see *loving* it instead of just being impressed with the quality that went into it, which is why it isn't full 5 star.

It's an okay game. I caught it on sale for $0.99 and honestly I'm glad I didn't pay full price. I beat the entire game fairly quickly. There's a set number of levels, and only 3 or 4 parts. There isn't an endless mode or anything after you finish the game. You can only go back and replay levels. The art is beautiful but there really wasn't a reason to keep it after beating it. I already deleted the app.

Beautiful, meditative and wonderfully intuitive. I do wish it was longer or had more replay value, but if you approach it as a finite interactive artwork and immerse yourself for the hour or two of gameplay it'll take to complete then it's definitely worthwhile.

Def an interesting game...But (lol,) I was expecting more variety based on the developer's description. I didn't get very far in this game; it wasn't the peaceful, image rich game I pictured from the game's description and user comments. You have to cut growing branches in increasingly challenging stages. I think the limited time combined with the speed and random growth of the branches makes this game interesting but repetitive.. And not relaxing. The scenes are very cool though.

Very, very good. Its super relaxing and gorgeous in terms of style and game play. The only 2 things to add would be more levels, and if possible, 120hz support. This is the kind of game that would thrive with a higher refresh rate. That would make it even better!

Mik. S. Apr 27, 2022

The synopsis makes it sound like this is a zen self experiential growing and healing game. Rather, there are levels to beat, and the goal is to win. Big lose. Just another "clever" take on age old trite as heck game tropes.

Not a bad game, but can be frustrating. The controls can be wonky, trying to zoom and slice some off, or the other way around. Sometimes it goes too fast, and if you're zoomed out, you can't prune accurately, but if you're zoomed in, you can't stay ahead of things.

Absolutely phenomenal. If anyone is on the fence about buying - afraid it'll be boring - you don't need to. Gorgeous music, mechanics, and storyline. It will make you feel emotional despite no words being said and no characters as a medium. The progression of the trees and the allusions to humanity crushing them are just - wow. Hats off to the developers for making a stunning and heart tugging game with only trees and music

I pretty much never review games. This game doesn't even ask you to. Prune is an incredibly unique experience, and the only thing I want from it is more. Maybe a procedurally generated set of maps or something, idk, but 5 stars. Thank you!

Rye. S. Mar 29, 2020

Beautiful, relaxing, intriguing. . . a great game My only criticism might be the cost to play ratio, it's a little steep for something that can be completed in a day or two. On the other hand, it does have pretty good replayability.

Ama. H. Jul 11, 2020

This game is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! So relaxing in one way, but I still felt the excitement to get to and see the next gorgeous level, one after the other. It felt well worth my time and money (not that it's expensive)! No in app purchases, just the up front cost of the game, and that's it!

Cry. K. Dec 17, 2020

Loved the simplicity of the game, the challenge of beating the levels the second time around to reach the blue flowers. Relaxing yet addictive. Was sad when it was over. Will play again!

Jas. T. Nov 18, 2020

This was one if the most relaxing and enjoyable experiences I have had on a mobile game, the game mechanics and controls are very intuitive. That said I did get stuck on the epilogue, wasn't too sure what I had to do

Fel. M. Aug 25, 2020

Repetitive. The graphics and music/sounds are lovely, and the gameplay is very smooth. However, it gets old quickly - it is basically the exact same puzzle, over and over. Not enough variety from puzzle to puzzle.
