PS4 Remote Play

I love this app. It's amazing for me since I'm constantly going different places and dont always have access to my PlayStation system when I'm away. The connectivity with the PS4 controller is super convenient also since I have larger hands and fumbling around the touch screen can be a pain sometimes. The only thing I wish was different is that sometimes I want to play when I'm on a long bus ride or when I'm away from wifi but I can't try using it off my service signal if I wanted to.

Update. Still isn't optimized for Tab S7+. The description claims the app to now be compatible with Dualsense controller but the controller isn't recognized in app whatsoever on mobile data or wifi. It's very disappointing because the tablet screen would and will be an amazing screen for remote play once this feature is finally fixed. Still doesn't work.

Not perfect but it's already pretty good what you can do with it. It suits many needs and depending if your connection is very good you can play some stuff well with it. Ideally for when you really wanna keep playing a game on their easy content, or their mini games. It's good enough to be relied on, even if it doesn't replace a PS4 controller.

Works but not consistently. You have to consistently exit the app and close it then go back in and reconnect for a stable connection. My internet is fairly good in my house, my Android phone isn't bad either, still after playing and being connected for 15-30 minutes it suddenly gets painfully slow and unplayable until you close the app and go back in which is annoying, and doesn't make any sense to me. Also not enough options in my opinion, should be more features.

!!!!!Your mileage may vary!!!! It's gotten a lot better than it used to be. Although it is still not recommended to use for online play. It works alright with input delay and lag based on the same network and distance between device issues that is beyond Sony's control. It has worked well enough for me to access my ps5 and afk farm GTA 5 online.

Updating my review and changing my rating. Now the app is perfect and I can fully enjoy it! I can finally connect my Dualshock 4 controller to my tablet to play games because its finally compatible! Not sure why I couldn't before because it was and has always been running on Android 10 and it always would say my device isn't compatible. The gameplay is smooth and runs perfectly with no lag and I never get disconnected. Feels like I'm playing straight from my Playstation just on a smaller screen!

Pro, the app works fine for me over wifi. Con, after playing for a while, my ZFold3 will randomly restart and I have to relaunch the app and reconnect, even via wifi. Pro, my ps5 controller connected perfectly via Bluetooth and is mapped fine. Pro, I finally got the app to work via a cellular connection. Con, I had to troubleshoot and find a reddit thread telling me which ports to manually open on my router for the cellular connection to work. It may require some knowledge and ability to setup.

Remote play works for me when I'm using the same network, but whenever I go out and use another WiFi network, it just gives an error (8801330f). It's really a disappointment to me since I would really want to play ps5 games anywhere. I checked for solutions on the Internet and even reddit but there is still no solutions to be found. Every yt vid about ps remote play was about a year or like 8months ago so I can't find newer fixes about this. Such a shame. I could've given 5 stars.

It is really nice thing, but sometimes I can't connect to my ps via mobile internet, and sometimes it is really inconvenient to press virtual R1 and L1 buttons. Also, sometimes my game delay goes up to an entire second. I think you did really well, PlayStation, but you can better. (as well as that, I have an old phone, so I think half of the ping is caused by that)

It works for the most part, although loses connection very often. Please fix it and I'll reinstall. EDIT: It runs a bit smoother, by losses connection at times. Perhaps it's my internet connection. Still I think it's pretty kool I can play from my phone. 4 stars!

Well it works sometimes but seems every time the devs take a step forward they take two steps right back. Connection to the PS5 controller now works only problem is it's messed up and the keys are mapped totally wrong such as X is now O and square is X and in some games the screen keeps rotating. Think it's because of the bad key mapping that the L1 or L2 button keeps firing. It's not the controller as I've tried multiple still fails. Hope the devs figure it out and add/fix the key map.

My issue is that my controller doesn't actually function properly, in Yakuza 5 the camera rotates in circles constantly and all the controls in game are wrong. The controls are wrong no matter if I'm in game or on the home menu. Also weirdly unresponsive sometimes and snappy and normal other times. In short, fix the controller or pressure Samsung to fix it on their end (heard it's an android 12 issue) and you've got a good experience, but for now it's actually atrocious.

PS5 controller does not work on Andriod. It connects to my phone just fine and I can even use the controller right up until I log into the PS5 remotely at which point it defaults to the on screen controls and the controller stops working. Even if I'm within range of the console to use the controller it immediately kicks you out of remote play (there should be a screen mirroring only option). Unacceptable for Sony to release such a flawed app when 3rd parties have already fixed the issue.

The fact that third party controller attachments don't work on the app is a huge turn off for me. I don't want to have to carry around a controller to use remote play separate from my phone. I'd rather use a controller attachment for my phone.

It has a few bugs and doesn't work perfectly but my only big problem is it will not wake my playstation 4 out of sleep mode for some reason. I did everything it said to do but it rarely will wake it up out of sleep mode. Please fix!!!

Downloaded it on my Samsung A12 and opened it up for the first time and clicked sign into PSN and kept getting a pop up saying there was an error and to try again later. I tried Uninstallling it and restarting my phone but nothing works. All I wanted to do was to try remote play

Dualsense ps5 controller is unusable with Android because for whatever reason, it completely re-maps the controls when you pair the controller to your phone. I think it's an issue with android or with the dualsense not necessarily this app, but it still gets 1 star because in the current state, it's useless. I guess I have to try the ps4 controller and see if that one works. Basically you can't play anything using this app unless you want to use completely messed controls until they fix it.

Beautiful app. I can control my ps4 with ease from my phone. Especially when I disconnect my controls to use on my PC. I use the app to sync them back to the park without the cord.

Quickly disappointed, although connecting was quick and easy it quickly became quite limited.. I tried to remote play little big planet 3 (which the game advertises by the way) and quickly figure out I could not run (use the left stick) and jump at the same time (which is needed for 98 percent of the game...)

May need to reset your console to get things working right every now and then on PS5. Other than that depending on what phone your using works pretty good. I do NOT appreciate that this app saves so much of your data that if you delete and reinstall it's as if it was never deleted. There is no way to unlink a device and then relink it. It seems once it's linked it's permanent.

This app was working just fine until about 3 days ago it will not connect to my ps4 now. I even tried to put in the code to find my ps4 (standing directly in front of it!) And it says ps4 cannot be found check if it's on the same network. I Uninstalled and tried again still not working. Very disappointed because I really liked this feature but now I might have to go back to XBOX just so I can play games remotely again. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Its great, i can use it well, but it just has 2 problems. First of all, i thought the whole point of this was that you can TURN ON your ps remotely. I have to turn my ps on then use it. No point. Second of all when i use my left joystick on remote play, the character keeps going until i turn back. This causes problems. So please fix this.

its working amazing! i can play marvels spider man at 720p with high frame rates! mobile data works perfect too! im keeping ps4/ps5 remote play for now! nice! thank you! i'll test it at the hosptial to test the long dinstance play and give it ago.

Initially I gave a poor rating. But apparently, whatever the issue was, it has been dealt with. There is a bit of delay in sound and also delay between input and action. So a game like Bloodborne is a little difficult and annoying. But a game like ffix remastered is a real treat. It's great to play after the wife and kid are in bed. 5 stars.

Does not work on Android 12, both tablet and phone. The controls do not work properly and somehow it controls the game and the PS menu at the same time if you have the PS menu open. The camera constantly spins and the X and Square button functions are inverted.... somehow. This feature only works reliably on PC and it's quite sad.

It's so much better. As long as you leave your PS5 in rest mode it'll wake it up and logon. I wouldn't use this with any games that need fast control but for certain titles it's really good. If you pair a Bluetooth pad with it even better.

I've tried to play games using dualsense, but I have wrong keymappings. The only way for now is the phone root. I've heard that xbox controller works flawlessly, so better add the feature of button keymappings or you will loose the next customer... Tested on OnePlus 8T, Android 12.

Cannot connect to PS4 on rest mode. I have to turn it on manually to use remote play. What a dumb app. Frame rate and resolution drops when using the touch control on the app. Cannot use the app if wireless network on the console is used. Must be on LAN cable.

If you want to use a controller via Bluetooth, none of the buttons are assigned correctly, the cross button does what circle should and square does what the cross button should do. Definitely needs to be improved.
