PUCK Remote App

So far I love the puck 2. Brings remote control back to my phone! The app needs some serious development. First thing to fix is button repeat. I have to press the volume button 25-30 times to lower the volume on my sound bar. You should be able to hold the button and have it repeat. Fix that and a little more customization (like button placement and volume punch through) and they have a winner!

Got the Puck, installed the app, and started connecting devices. As with most multi-remote systems, finding the right code group is cumbersome, not the app's fault, per se. Range to the targets is limited (longer battery life) but I was able to get consistent results at 5ft. Four stars for: - very small, unobtrusive design - clean app UI - fair effective range - low cost and no subs Minus one star for: - static remote screens (nice to have custom buttons) - 1 connected user at a time

Phone discovers Pick but won't connect to either of them. Very disappointed and wondering What the Puck! The 2 I have say they are Bluetooth 4.1 , there are no directions, but I'm very good with technology and this simply doesn't work. I have a Samsung S8+ I may try to contact the developer and see what The Puck is happening. Love the idea but the execution OR lack of sucks!

Bought 4 pack. was interested in a generic bluetooth to infrared device to override hotel LG tvs using installer codes. Alterative was a usb device for pc. This concept was a deciding factor. However... the bluetooth is weak and slow to connect, its a peer to peer on demand system, and the infrared per their faq has a 3-5ft range. I have no where to mount it with a wall mounted sony bravia to make it work. app sucks, faq is 1 year outdated. disappointed. guess usb or wait is my options.

The app does work but you have to switch to a different screen for each device you want to control. There is no customization. Supposedly they are working on enabling customization. Will update if they do. Its been 2 month, no update yet.

Disappointing app for a disappointing device. No macro support. Confusing setup. Low device support. No option to add a custom device or learn a remote. Why are there so many devices types that seem to have overlapping definitions? And why can I only search brands AFTER I select a type.

I bought the puck 1. It came in a 2 pack. The devices seem to connect to my phone but do not work with my New LG Smart TV or the old dennon reciver. My friends harmony remote works fine on my equipment. Double the price but at least it works... Returning to puck asap.

Bought the puck, installed the app. And the puck won't even communicate with the app. Tried 3 different devices. "Bluetooth has encountered an error" defective device. Won't buy again...

Update: Yeesh, barely connects. Very low power connection. Suggestion to manufacturer - Lipo battery that is rechargeable. The Ble unit is greatly under powered. Connection could be enhanced by ble 5.

Terribly inconsistent pairing. One unit lasted less than a week. Not worth the price and there are better options, i.e. Wi-Fi

4 stars for now Easy to set up, instructions are just as clear and concise as can be. Also-Newman, are you connecting with the app or with blutooth?

Doesn't do anything other than blink an led in the Puck. Wont work with my Sharp TV or my Samsung sound bar. Tried all the codes which was not easy.

The puck device will not control anything. The blink works. But does nothing else.

My puck just quit working. Phone won't recognize. 2 thumbs down. Haven't had it more than a few months

does what it says it will do. would give 5 stars if you could add, remove and place buttons where you wanted them

This thing wont even connect to the app. it keeps saying, "rejected by puck". not happy

Location is needed to connect to a bluetooth device!?

Bogus. Wants your location so they can track you.

This device has TONS of potential. The company's CEO responded to my inquiry personally and told me that an app update that's coming this quarter will solve a lot of issues and, in my opinion, make this device a game-changer in the remote world. Stand by, everybody. While it's not particularly useful now, this device may soon become the coolest thing in your home theater.

Don't buy the puck, total waist of money. If you happen to use your phone for more than a remote, say change something you're watching on Netflix, it takes forever, if ever to reconnect

App works when paired with the PUCK to control smart and non smart electrical components. Easy and simple interface. I use often.

Not a smart remote, you need to separately turn off/on each device. If your remote is left on the TV, and you want to change channels on cable, you can accidentally change inputs Purchased to help elderly mother use her TV, just made it more complicated

Not all remotes are the same layout. So why not allow users for your app customize the layout. My parent's Westinghouse tv needs the "select input" and "ok" button accessible on the same screen in order to change the input. This requires speed and an extra step to accomplish the task.

Puck and hardware work as designed. I use it with my smartphone to turn on and off an older tv in my bedroom. I angled it towards the tv sensor, a little ways away. Stay tuned the FAQ says, It will include future abilities with Alexa and Google soon. For now it works. Thanks Smashtoast!

I am fairly sure this product is a scam after purchasing on Amazon and attempting to use it to control a newer model LG TV. The puck device/app combo does absolutely nothing.

App just links you to purchase Puck for $30 doesn't do anything without that.
