This app has gone down hill they basically beg for your money every day and if you don't give it to them they throw a fit and don't let you use the browser but there's ways around it if your smart enough. Also there's ads every half hour or so of use so they really don't need the money as if there updating the app anyway it's been exactly the same for over 2 years and had even gotten worse and now they have the audacity to ask for money. Edit you have went down to a 2.9 in overall reviews nice.
*To respond to the dev::That was just the response I expected, completely missing the point of my review and automatically assuming my review isn't worth reading. I reviewed this browser because it exists on the google play store and I review all apps that I use, if you don't want to improve your browser based on user feedback then don't waste our time.* This would have been a good browser but I can't recommend anyone to use. This browser does nothing that other browsers can't do, yet they expect you to want to pay a subscription fee if you want to use it for more than one hour a day. I'd go into more detail about my actual experience with this browser but I feel it would be pointless to do that because of how the devs respond to reviews that criticize the subscription fee. I personally have no problem with browsers that have ads baked into them but this is just a sub par browser with an unnecessary subscription fee, don't use it.
New review 20/04/22 I pay 89p per month premium subscription, which means I can use puffin to play the one Facebook game I play without being asked to either watch an ad or to disable flash, but recently it's started asking me to watch an advert to continue or disable flash? I've updated the app, exited and rebooted my device and went back in, nothing works. And I keep going round in circles with your team via email who can't seem to understand what my problem is!! I SHOULDN'T BE GETTING ADS!!
So...found an issue. Sometimes the entire app glitches out and doesn't function, nor run flash. Doesn't seem to happen too often, but it's happened 3 times in a row, just now.
One of the best browser in play store. When i am helpless on some websites that don't work properly unless opened in pc this browser comes as savior. Thank you developers for this awesome and unique app. Yes it is unique.
Slowest browser I've ever used. Nothing would load and got stuck on a loading screen. It used to work almost perfect but it's impossible to use now.
AWFUL!! I spent 1.00$ for a month on my iphone to use the app unlimited but my iphone broke and abruptly I had to change over to Android and now I have to pay 1.00 OVER AGAIN (Which I have quarters only and 0 dollars on my card) in less than a month and they only allow you to use the app for free only 30mins a day. OUT OF 24 HOURS! How unbelievable!! I feel scammed out of my 1.00 that I spent on my iphone. I am very disatisfied with the service that I have received so far.
Used to be a great app for flash on mobile, but the app just got worse with every update. Ads make sense, and aren't that annoying. But the app doesn't even work most of the times, settings page doesn't even load sometimes. Added a useless 'reading list' functionality that only annoys you and you can't even disable it!!! Used to love the app, but now it's LITERALLY UNUSABLE
Switching back due to the removal of incognito tabs in Puffin Browser Pro. I worry this will be updated to remove that too however. I do not want to have to use 2 browsers for simple functionality in 1. I do like the export bookmarks to an HTML file option. I have used Puffin for years and like the trackpad. Some websites don't handle emoji input right like GMAIL & Tumblr displaying ?? I dislike Reading List, & it not exporting with Bookmarks. Originally switched to Pro due to unable to connect.
Need serious improvement. most time server not connected, always reconnecting.some times it's consume too much data in background like 1-2gb within minutes,even if there is no download in progress or no activity. Idk what they're doing in background with this much data use. I think our privacy is in being compromised. Country India, carrier (jio&vi)
the weirdest browser i ever try 😅 have to download separate puffin browser for incognito tab, weird. must do a subscribtion to able ad blocker option, weird. can't register to an ecommerce site (which it's perfectly fine on other website), weird. at least there's no ads like uc browser, good point.
Great web browser that allows the use of Java Flash Player. I see people mad that you have to choose to pay or watch ads. But really it's like $10 for the entire year. Which is well worth it. Any other app and browser will also shove ads down your throat at least here you can say good bye to them.
This thing is fantastic... for the 2 minutes your allowed to use it before it blocks you off and demands money. In other words unusable unless you got dem deep pockets.
This is horrible. this was good at first when i download it now i really really dislikes it.whenever i try to login in my Roblox account it'll always say "incorrect username or password "i literally tried again.i resetted my password and tried it again still does not work!. Honestly i dont even know if its Roblox fault or it's this app
Recently devs removed option "Open in Background" which makes the browser "single-threaded" and thus useless for effective browsing.
Please fix the bookmark! Once I added a folder it decided that it doesn't want to load anymore and I can't even export it out or bookmark new things
I recommended this app because I can play my games using phone but I don't know the limitations since they offering a subscription so that you can use it without a problem. I think this is okay in wifi but in mobile data, it's very hassle despite of connection or I don't know that this app is only allowed to use in Wifi. But then, this app is okay for me. Goodjob.
It still has better SPEED than Chrome, i use the DESKTOP option. It crashes once in awhile. I don't like it when i switch to another app briefly then have to start all over again, it CLOSES my tabs, it loses CONNECTIVITY. It logs me OFF my web pages. I have paid the subscription. Please CORRECT these minor tweaks & you will be 5 STARS.
A great way to play flash games on you mobile, but paid subscription?! WHY make it have a daily usage Limit, I do not want to pay for subscription SO PLEASE REMOVE IT ITS INTERRUPTING ME.
Man is really great app to play flash game the only downside it has a time limit and too much lag , hopefully the developer can give unlimited time every 5 day of log in or weekends , i dont have any problem on ads.
Great for people who want to play old flash games and it's very fast but the most fascinating thing here is the trackpad! It's so convenient to use I wonder if you guys are gonna make a app like reachability cursor with the trackpad and cursor used in puffin browser! Highly recommend
Used to be good. Now they've turned the incognito mode into a completely different app, it plays ads over content, and you can only use it for so long every day. Used to be my go-to mobile browser, sad to finally leave it.
Your app suppose to save data. In fact it's not and here is how I knew that. I tested your app, each time I open your Puffin it loads. I did almost 5 times. To my surprise, it uploaded 3.1MB and downloaded 62.7MB. I also tested it on cellular data. I just opened it 5 times and let it loads alone. It downloaded 5.8 and uploaded 1012.8KB. in a month it consumes... I like your app but in fact it isn't made for limited bandwidth. Note: my test was only opening the app and letting it load alone.
The Ad experience is really annoying unlike before. Sometimes it will make you watch more than 1 unskippable ads before it lets you redirect to the website you are trying to go to. PS. This is why UC browser and Brave browser are way better than you ./.
One of the best browsers on Google Play Store. Can load websites that only run on PC with all options & tabs working. This browser even has an on-screen gamepad that lets you play browser games that would otherwise only run on a PC. Only things I didn't like about this browser are: 1)It shows disruptive pop-up ads that block the whole screen. 2)It's a bit slow. 3)If this browser could support PC extensions, it would have been perfect!
