PulsePoint AED

Help build the most comprehensive registry of AEDs for use during emergencies.
When a cardiac emergency strikes, finding an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can help save a life. But that takes knowing where AEDs are located. PulsePoint AED lets you report and update AED locations so that emergency responders – nearby citizens trained in CPR or local firefighters, police or medics -
- can find an AED close to them when a cardiac emergency occurs.

You and PulsePoint AED can help strengthen the chain of survival for cardiac arrest victims. Download PulsePoint AED for free and use it to report AED locations wherever you see one. Snap a picture, make some quick notes, and the information is stored for local authorities to verify. After that, the AED location data is made available to anyone using the PulsePoint citizen responder app (also available for free in the Google Play store). PulsePoint Respond is the app that alerts citizen responders who know CPR to local emergencies near them and also to the location of the nearest AED.

Not only do all validated AED’s become visible in the PulsePoint Respond app, all collected AED information is provided to the local emergency communications center for instant display on dispatcher consoles during calls for assistance. This allows the dispatchers to direct callers to nearby public AEDs when necessary.

PulsePoint AED is a great way to crowd-source lifesaving information. Users of PulsePoint Respond and subscribing local emergency responders all get updated information about the AEDs in their communities. With PulsePoint AED and PulsePoint Respond, citizens, responders, and care providers can work together in their communities to help victims in a cardiac emergency.

PulsePoint AED and PulsePoint Respond are produced by the PulsePoint Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to empowering everyday citizens to provide lifesaving assistance to victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Engineering for the applications is provided by skilled volunteers from Workday, Inc. and are marketed and implemented by Physio-Control, Inc. makers of Lifesaving Tools for Lifesaving Teams since 1955.

I have to give it low stars right now cause i dont know how to search the area for the closest! Sure if i open the map and expand it i can see where they are- add a search button to take you to the closest and allow for navigation directions... This doesnt work like that on my phone. Being AED/CPR certified i cant just pull the app up, throw my phone to a person and say "go get it"

Any way to reward people to find and add AED devices? Its useless right now since there are no AEDs listed in my area. Not many people know about this app, dont have the time to find AEDs and list them only when they happen to come across one and remember to add it manually in the app. Advertise more. Same with the other pulse point app. It will take a while i understand. But i believe if theres a reward system it will be a start.

App will not open. Crashes immediately upon opening. Have sent feedback multiple times and no response. When it was working, months ago, enjoyed it and used it to put AEDs on the map often.

Today while shopping at my local Walmart, my pluse point alarmed and tod me where in the store assistance was needed. There was no AED on site but 911 had dispatched an ambulance. The patient was dusky gray and nauseous. He was alert but in very obvious distress. He had a history of cardiac problems. I am so glad I was able to support the store staff who were doing a fantastic job and to assist the patients wife. This app is wonderful!

so my normal pulse point worked great. now it doesnt alert, audibly, so if cpr is needed id never hear it. even if the incident was in the next room. and it keeps reverting to a dept thats not mine, in the back ground.

I havent had to used this app in an emergency but I think its a great service. I live in a small town and check it to see where the AEDs are in case of an emergency. Makes me realize there probably arent enough around.

Great app for helping in SCA incidents. Recommend faster additions to registry and the ability to post photos of AED's when they're found in real-time, not from a gallery.

Update 03-Mar-20: can now log in but cannot post photos - it crashes & asks if I want to submit feedback which I did & you should have received. Asks for my Gmail account but then doesn't log me in.

Need to be able to narrow down area of notification on map. Maybe 500-1000M. Not 10K. More choices on type of notification. Silent/Vibrate vs tone alert and time of day willing to be available.🤔

Can't scroll past a page, you can't see some activities. Email info pushes the photo and the number of AEDs registered so you can't see them.

This is a wonderful idea and so good qulity app to promote it. Very thought through to make sure that only working devices are listed! Well done!!! ❤

Getting better. Now that it can access photos, I need to be able to access the gallery to add past photos.

Excellent idea, works wonders...if people are informed. Tell everyone about it, learn CPR & how to use an AED! We need TV, radio & billboards advertising PulsePoint AED & Respond! I mention both before EVERY CPR, BLS, ACLS or PALS class I teach.

Clever and, more importantly, potentially life-saving.

May save more lives if more AEDs were available and more users had this app.

I think their needs to be some method of providing proof that individuals actually have ALS or BLS even just CPR like providing your registry number before access is given
