I've been using PFCU online, and their app, for as long as it's been available. I've never had any issues, except one that was affecting other devices besides mine and that they fixed quickly. When I moved from West Lafayette to the west coast, I couldn't find a bank that offered the level of sophistication that PFCU offers, so I maintained my bank account from a distance, which turned out to be extremely easy to do. I've been a member since the 1970s. I couldn't be happier with a bank.

It is a very smooth easy to operate app and is so convenient for transfers and payments however the one thing i don't like (and idk it could be bank's policy) is that it doesn't display all the info like there is no way to see any interest charge in credit cards it would always says 0 fix that!! Overall everything is fine

Two years later and still not able to use this app at all on my phone. So disappointing. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, still doesn't work at all. Earlier review: Login to app no longer works and unable to make mobile deposits. Last update over a year ago, may be needed now to fix this problem? This is my favorite banking institution so I'm really disappointed I can no longer use the app.

This app does not work on my Samsung phone. I have been using the app for several years on iPhone and Android and suddenly in October 2021 it just stopped letting me log in. I just keep getting an error message and says to contact customer support. I have contacted customer support multiple times with no luck. It's very disappointing.

Needs Improvement. The check deposit feature frequently makes you do it more than once. The account balances do not always show correctly. I've had multiple instances of all my transactions showing correctly with the correct amount but the totals do not equal what the app says they are. Very frustrating if you are trying to check a balance quick. It removes any convenience of not having to keep a check book balanced.

Easy to use banking app. Made things simple while we were out of state for a few years. 18 June 2020 Update: OK FINE. I WILL REVIEW THE APP. Now I am asked to review the app with every transfer. Also the biometric recognition is super slow. Please fix! 7 March 2021 Update: app is still slow, but generally functions as intended. One issue: when scanning a check pops up and makes it difficult to select the "submit" button. There is no way to close this popup. Please fix.

Setting up auto-pay does not ensure a minimum payment is taken out each month on a credit card. I set auto-pay to the minimum owed/m. For some reason not explained to me, only a partial amount was automatically deducted. I now owe a significant amount because of a technical error, or intentional deception, on their part. I was offered no advice or plan on how to correct their error, instead being told to just pay manually. Probably time to find a new provider, with a more transparent app.

April 2020 update rendered the app useless! No longer loads, just opens to a white screen. If you uninstall and reinstall it will work once, then it returns to the white screen for all future attempts. From reading the other reviews, this appears to only be happening on Android devices. It has been 2 months and this problem has not been addressed yet!

PurdueFed is one of the best credit unions. But the app is terrible. Unlike other banking apps, you have to manually enter password and cannot copy paste from your password manager. When you switch between apps during login, you have to reenter again. To enable biometric login, you have to enter user name and password again, but the screen does not scroll and you can't see what you entered. If you have a long random password, which is what is recommended, you will give up using this app.

I've never liked the app for bill pay, it shows only limited info. So I use the app to deposit checks and the full site on my tablet to pay bills. With the new website, bill pay doesn't work properly. The ads are fixed in size, while the bill pay interface is shrunk to your screen. Necessary functions are impossible because the button is off screen. The app is mediocre, but the website is terrible, looks like something I made as a student 20 years ago.

The functionality of this app is perfectly competent. There are some things that are a bit obnoxious (like the back button of my phone not being able to reach previous screens) but I assume that thats a security concern more than anything. Overall, i don't have to think about using this app, which means it's designed well!

After 3 days trying to Login and talking to their help line 3 times, PEFCU cleared "too many attempts", after which I could login. They also helped the app from failed logins and failed deposits by suggesting disabling WIFI. If a reboot still has WIFI, then you didn't completely disable it. Run your cell phone on the mobile network (over the air waves). Now the app works without fault.

alerts could use a lot of work...as in move it to 2019 not 2004. it doesnt have an internal app notification like the old app, they either text or email you. the times are never when the transactions happen, then at 830 in the morning you get 5 or 6 text from them. not was I was looking forward to when it was announced the were making the app better. it's just like the old system minus the internal app notifications.

I used to LOVE the app. I use Samsung Galaxy S10e. Several weeks ago the app wouldn't work properly. I uninstalled/reinstalled SEVERAL times. No luck. So I uninstalled it. Today, I installed the app again & hoped for a better outcome. I was able to log in fine. The app seemed to be working until I tried to log in with my fingerprint. The app turned white. Nothing. I had to close it. The app is so inconvenient to use w/o fingerprint login. I'm uninstalling it again. PLEASE FIX IT!!!

This app works for seeing account information. Trying to do anything else is next to impossible. They want you to deposit checks online, but this part of the app has never worked on the first time for me. Many times it does not work at all which causes issues due to the way they require the back of the check to be signed. Transferring money especially from accounts outside of PFCU, is especially problematic. Better to do this from a computer.

I'm now seeing why there are negative reviews of this app. Everytime it updates I have a new issue and either have to reinstall or do something else on my end. Talk about being non-user-friendly. You'd think a business associated with a technological University would be able to fix their app algorithm. Most recently, I can't even log in to see my balance, transfer funds, or anything else.

App wasn't working last week. It would not let me sign in at all. It is working now and I have changed nothing on my end. The redesign is much better, but I feel like it is a roll of the dice of the app actually working from one day to the next. Edit: app seems to be functioning properly now, but gets pretty annoying the variability of the app working or not. Like I said, redesign is great and provides all the features of a big name bank.

Takes forever to open, when it does open. Most times I have to log in through the website instead of the app because it won't open at all. The old app before the upgrade was so much better than this...edited my review because they keep asking me no matter how many times I say no thanks to give feedback it keeps popping up EVERY SINGLE TIME. Can you guys get this done correctly so all of us aren't annoyed anymore by this? Who knows maybe I'll edit it one last time and give this app 2 stars

Edit 6/23/2020: The 6/21 update has fixed launching issues and the app is working again. The only issue I notice now is with biometric authentication (BA) with my Pixel 4XL where the app says "This device does not appear to support BA" Edit: 6/18/2020 Back to square one. The latest version crashes on launch, I can't get past it. Edit: 4/20/2020 The new version that was released works, finally! Standard functions seem to work (balances, accounts etc). Biometrics are still an issue. The menu option is accessed from "hamburger menu" -> Profile -> Biometric login. There are two options available: 1) Enroll/Unenroll and 2) Device management. Option 2 works - I can see my other devices that are enrolled. However, when I choose option 1 the app crashes. Original review: I purchased a Pixel 4 XL two days ago. The OS is up to date running Android 10. The PFCU app never gets past the splash screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times, no luck. I have also tweaked the permissions, allowing the app the full range, still no go. I compared my outcome with a friend that has a Pixel 3A running Android 10, and they have no issues using the app. Does this point to a device specific problem? As an aside (not related to the main issue of app crashes), I had got used to the convenience of fingerprint recognition to log in with my previous phone. But the new phones that only do face recognition lack this feature. It would be nice to have face recognition incorporated in the future.

Previous app worked well but seems to no longer be supported so changed to this version. Keep recieving the message "unsecure connection" on my wife's phone (Samsung S5) and cannot proceed further. The phone connected to our home wi-fi (mobile data disabled). My phone (Samsung note 5) has had no trouble with the new app. I made sure that her OS was updated (Android version 6.0.1) and the previous app was removed; no dice. Please give us back the working app!

Was good until the update. It doesn't save my login info like it used to, it won't show fast balances, every time I login I either have to have a text sent to my phone now or a call. It won't save any of my settings. I used to love the app, it's annoying to have to change my settings every time I log into the app.

App worked on my Samsung S10. Got a Pixel 4 in November of 2019 and the app didn't work on it. Come May, a new update made it work on my phone. Cool. All good. App update in June makes the app not work anymore. Just crashes. Don't see how hard a simple web browser is to make on a phone cause that's all it is. Just pulls the web version and adds mobile check deposits. Super uncool. 1/100 stars from this guy.

I downloaded this app to use the mobile deposit feature, and the mobile deposit feature was bugged, making it almost impossible to use. Each time I took a picture of my check, the app opened a side panel with account information which could not be closed and which obscured nearly the entire screen that I was trying to use. Just bad design, guys.

Can't paste a password in from my password manager. Also can't type in the password because everytime I try to switch back and forth between apps to get the password it clears out the password box. I already was logged in and had biometrics set up but apparently that's reset too so now I'm unable to login on mobile, making this app useless.

Some things better, some things yet to be fix. When using mobile deposit, there is a banner that covers most to the screen, appearing with horizontal check picture taking. It won't go away until the check deposit is submitted but difficult to see the buttons with only a small view on the left of the screen

I could not open it. Once I try to open it, there is a message saying that my internet network is not trusted. I tried connected through my WiFi and through my phone data, but neither of them worked. It is very sad, because the app design and functionlity seems to have improved a lot :(

New app won't let me log in, keeps telling me to contact member services. Why did you completely change a decent app to this hot garbage? *Edit: App works now and the new UI does look better. The bug from before caused me to get locked out of my account, which took 20 min to resolve over the phone. Changing from one to three stars because it seems to work...for now. **Edit2: Back to one star. OS and app are updated, but it won't let me type in my username or sign in with fingerprint.

I'm afraid the latest update has rendered the biometric login useless. I have a Samsung Galaxy. The fingerprint login just goes to a white screen. Manually putting in the login info works fine. Additionally, biometric login is only available for a single device, no matter how many people access the account. Virtually all other banking apps offer more flexibility and stability. I really expected more from something with the name 'Purdue' attached to it.

I had to take pictures more than 10 times, there was rejection because lighting, wrong amount because the app does not allow commas but randomly place it for thousands, check does not fit within 4 corners, etc, etc. Awful app.
