A good chess game for Android. Music is calm & fits the mood well. I play this with a few coworkers and we all have a good time. Clean graphics, very chill, relaxing to play. Gameplay can be spotty at times but local gameplay is pristine. They fixed the DLC issues & so far I'm enjoying the game. The music occasionally has clipping issues but that might be my phone. Highly recommend this game.
The graphics and game play are amazing, but that's where the good news ends.. The interface and menus are clunky, slow and limited. I have yet to play an online match after many times of trying, over a few hours. The premium pieces are nice, but 75% of them are useless or hard to differentiate. The setting options are terrible.
The difficulty rating is horrible. The easiest difficulty sets up advanced moves and is far harder than an easy difficulty should be. You have very little options for aesthetics and can't even use chess pieces unless you pay. You have to use checker pieces with the chess symbols on them. It's still chess but not done well.
I paid for the added chess sets, and haven't had any issues downloading them before (if I've had to wipe my phone). Wiped it a few days ago, and still can't download what I paid for. Emailed the developer-no response.
I think the game is beautiful. My cousin paid for the full version and I almost did also. However, there is no notification to let the other player know it's their move in online play. if this was fixed i would invest in the full purchase.
it's very beautiful and amazing graphics and scenery, camera angles, etc, the only thing that's missing is a voice audio, you know, like the fidelity chessmaster for MS-DOS and Windows, please install voice audio, thanks...
This is totally wrong man i just have to pay for everything except the dumb checkers pieces. This is fraud you have to mention it first so nobody can waste their internet data and very crucial time to download your worst game which is just enjoyable if you pay. This is just wrong totally wrong. Atleast you should put one simple 3d peices set for free.
This is a super game. So relexing music, Superb graphics, low to high difficulty level, many type piece sets, both onilne and offline. It's amazing.
I love this every single part of this game while playing but I gave only 2 stars because in this game chess pieces are under some payment method I hate this types of thinks. And chess is a good game they are gave some free chess pieces to play in this game but I dislike those pieces. Some chess pieces payment methods are giving hetic feel whenever I open this app....
Pure Chess is a positive learning experience. The game can teach you how to analyze complicated chess problems and solve mates in the correct move order. A very genuine app...
These guys asked to pay every time i want something interesting like chess sets or challenges.even after paying for staunton,the crystal set is not even visibal. But this game is the best out of best after paying .
It was a really nice, but i am not able to get back my purchased game slots and checker design that i brought previously, can you help me out with this problem?? It just show's error everytime i select.
I get its supposed to be fancy but im not paying for a different background or pieces that actually look like chess pieces and not checkers with symbols on them. Too many other chess apps with more to offer for free.
Brilliant graphics but disappointed to see that one has to purchase to unlock the full game. Moreover the stats part is full of bugs
Very very bad chess game yet.. Full of ads ... You have to pay money for every mode ... This is only time & data wasting. If you like chess you can download REAL CHESS from play store .this is so wonderfull.
I bought the PS Vita version of Pure Chess recently, before buying this free-2-play demo. That version of this game is way better than android version, except for Graphics!
Needs to be updated to work with Android properly. I will update rating with 5 stars when the developer updates up to work better with the lastest version of Android.
Purchased Isle DLC and didn't receive it. Edit: It worked. Trying to close the app and wait and the purchase was downloaded.
Very bad......I downloaded it several times.. But after completing... The downloading process comes again & again...I mention it the developer & google play store authority.
I don't like the fact that you still have to purchase the chess pieces but the game itself is mind blowing its beautiful its a bit realistic which I really like
Great game of Chess, I'm not very skilled so I'm glad you can set the difficulty. You can play on line or against the app, truly hours of enjoyment.

It's not good how much did i expect.. I think this game is of large size so it have many features of chess , but it has not so.. In this game all the features were unlocked by paying the money from your vollet... 👎👎👎👎
Boaring features slow very easy level and there is no hard level or may be you need to purchase them by paying money don't installed waste of time and storage of device don't take.
Best chess experience ever....everything i purchased and everything is awsm.....chess sets are amazing and when ever you play against computer you will feel like its some other player is playing with us
Paid for full DLC and only got 3 of the 8 DLC chess sets. The other 5 chess sets will not download. Major ripoff. The oblique perspective is too low for a smartphone's aspect ratio, which means one cannot see the tops of the pieces (am I looking at a bishop or a queen or the king?) The only way to see all of the pieces at once it to use the plan (top down) view, which defeats the purpose of a 3D game, I think. I paid for this game, but there is an advertisement on the side of the board that will not go away. Do not buy!!
