Pure Writer - Never Lose Content Editor & Markdown
With Pure Writer's line and paragraph spacing feature, your text will be clearer and more comfortable to read. Not only that, but it also has smooth scrolling, swipe-to-collapse-keyboard, and many more exciting features.
Simplicity is hidden complexity. You are able to encrypt your work with your fingerprint, start or stop writing whenever you wish, and share your content quickly to other apps — we've got you covered.
Most importantly, unless you manually delete it, you will never ever lose your work while using this text editor. Be it an accidental deletion or an unexpected shutdown, you will still be able to recover it from the History.
When you are satisfied with your content, you can select the share button on the top right corner of the screen and send it elsewhere or start a new article.
You can now clear this page with the clear button on the top right corner of this screen and start writing. If you accidentally delete anything, you will be able to recover it from the History records.

Pure Writer - Protective Mechanism
The current protective mechanism that Pure Writer has is:
1. The article will be saved once the content is changed. If that fails, Pure Writer will notify the user immediately.
2. Pure Writer will check if your content is saved in the database every two seconds. If it fails, Pure Writer will notify the user immediately.
3. If it fails to autosave, then the users will not be able to exit the app completely. Pressing the exit button at this time is the same as pressing the Home button without completely stopping the app. This will allow some time for the user to manually save their content.
4. Every time the app is running in the background or exited, it will automatically backup the whole database if any content is edited. The backup file can be accessed anytime. The backup will be saved along with the previous version of the backup to allow users to revert the backup.
5. The History record, undo and redo feature is provided to every article
6. Has a Trash folder to prevent accidental deletion of articles.
7. Cloud backups: if Pure Writer is integrated with WebDAV, then it will automatically backup all the database content including the articles to the cloud.

This is a great app with plenty of useful features. It is unfortunate that I've been having problems with pharagraph spacing lately. It was all normal until I accidentally slided the pharagraph spacing slider and now I can't get my usual display back. It really bothers me. I've checked and re-checked the pharagraph spacing option, setting it to zero, re-installing the app, modifying margins, changing custom fonts' sizes, rebooting my phone then setting the font back to default, nothing works.
I have come across a weird bug, when I'm writing, after about 1000 words and I can no longer hold the backspace to delete words fast. Instead, it just flickers so I have to manually delete each letter one by one. Not the biggest issue, but after that happens my keyboard app will no longer auto correctly, but fixes random words that didn't need to be fixed.
[EDIT] This is a great editor, with many interesting features. Unfortunately, the increasingly frequent messages to buy things have become pretty annoying. The latest development is a timer that make you wait till you can actually start writing. That's too bad. I used to use it all the time. Now, if I just need to make some quick notes, I use a simpler free editor… It's just not worth the trouble. 🤷♂️
Favourite app on phone! Great to use, good organisation for multiple works, has a cloud back up for dropbox and I adore the daily statistics and word goals. Ecen went as far as upgrade and I love the background changes - it's really helped with burnouts! Only issue I have is I can't delete the default book which messes with my OCD a bit. You can delete the chapters just not the book
This app is so cool and I really appreciate our developer! Thank you for giving me a comfortable experience while using the app! It's easy to learn and really fun to use,(free too!) in fact because of that I started writing a story right away ;D. Though, I just have one suggestion. Swiping to the left is for premium access-but I often mistake it as the reader option (so the message pop up happens alot). It'd be very appreciated if there's like a setting where I can switch things up or so, tysm!!
This is easily the best writing app I've ever used. It has everything I've ever needed to write my stories, and has much more awesome features which makes it easier for me. I'm personally a fan of custom fonts, so I'm really glad it has it--though, even if it didn't, I still probably would've used this with how functional it is, honestly. The app is pretty quick, never experienced any lag so far. It's pretty easy to use, and the auto-backup is a lifesaver! Overall, it's a really great app!
I really love this app. I write a lot and the ease of organizing everything, adding chapters, and the features available really this a solid app. The free version is good though I was impressed enough to get the paid version. The only reasons I give it 4/5 stars is because the app lags once a chapter hits around 8,000 words, and there is a spellcheck option that I have yet to figure out how to use.
Great writing app! Updates are made all the time so it keeps getting better! It's easy to use and lets me focus on writing. It has customizable features so everything's the way I want it. Scrolling is smooth, no glitches, things load quickly. Backups are great - backup to local and/or a cloud drive. It does it automatically, but you can do it manually too if you want. Connection to desktop (with pro version) works well too. Superb dark mode. 10/10 would recommend.
I've been using this app for a few months, and I'm loving it! I use this app for lots of things; writing drafts for my book, jotting in some notes after doing some research, and many more. It has been very useful, and I could always backup my files safely. But if I could request something, it'd be adding in a feature to change the text alignment. I would be more comfortable if I could use justify, since it makes the text look neat and prettier. Just a suggestion though. Great app!
The writing in the app is so satisfying, its so smooth. I dont have Pure Writer Pro, but the default (aka free version) its so good. I am a writer, and this app makes things so much easier. The "" is on top of the keyboard and it helps for when you do a lot of dialogue. Overall, incredible app and if you can, support it. The best of what I can do is rate it with 5 stars. :)
This app is really great and helpful! I am an extremely indecisive person, I can't settle on one thing, and I've bounced from note app to note app, but this one has really stuck out to me. The layout is simple and smooth and taking notes on it feels satisfying. It works really well even without the pro version, which is awesome because I don't have money to pay for it. Nice app!
I'm absolutely in love with this app. It's so easy to use and better than any other writing app I know of. My only complaint would be images not staying after restoring backup and some updates, but that's not too much of a problem to make me dislike the app completely. It's still wonderful and I'm always on it. It makes writing so much easier and fun! Five stars!!
So far I love this app been using it awhile now a little difficult to navigate through but it's a learning process, the functions are there. Things I love about it is I can open a page write all I want. Set the phone down and a few days later it's saved right where I left it. I can have several un categorized pages at a time and come back latter and put titles and headings and categorizethem. Still learning how to use the categorizing functions and formatting functions. I am not a writer to say
The app is dope, the best android editor available on the market. The design and the user interface is breathtaking. The features in this app are sublime. I really like the Time Machine feature, it gives me a board to lay down my ideas and as a poet it's something that simplifies my writing experience and makes the whole thing worthwhile
I bought the lifetime, premium version and it is SO SO WORTH IT! My writing productivity increased so much after I started using this app. It's so easy to use and I really just lose myself typing away. There's also no ads! I also love the desktop app! So useful when I want to sit and type on a keyboard instead of my phone. I've downloaded a lot of writing apps but this one takes the cake!
I think this is one of the most well meaning app out there for hobby or professional writers. The UI design is slick and it's very exciting to see what's to come in the future. I enjoy writing on this app very much, and I think the UI allows me to be focused and interact with my piece much better than other editors out there. Please keep building and making things better!
Been using this for 2 years now and It's the best writing app I've ever had. It's aesthetic, lightweight, reliable and lets me format the content. I love how I can have books and categories and even search my content, which is good for me cuz I'm forgetful af. I have never lost my writing while using this app and the clean interface keeps me going when I'm in my zone. I'll definitely be getting the pro version. You guys did a gr8 job with this, thank you!
*Would love to see an addition of adding comments to selected text within an article, similar to Docs.* I love this app, the functions are to die for! The features make it a sinch to customize to your needs. My specific favs are the Book setup, being able to flip from different categories and chapter, while everything's nice and organized, which is something top writing apps skimp on. What's here is above and beyond the numerous word processor apps I've used, by far.
Definitely underrated. I've used this app to write fanfiction for months now. It always saves progress, holds dozens of long chapters (and probably more), lets you section your writing into different 'books,' has many useful options, and has more symbols and uses that I don't even understand because there's so many. Worth it to check out. I can almost promise you that this app will leave you satisfied. April 9, 2022 and this is still the only app I use to write with. Never had an issue with it.
I enjoyed Pure Writer and was frustrated by it simultaneously! While I am still learning how to use it productively I am also concerned that some obvious & fundamental features appear to be missing. Why is exporting files to docx & odt missing? I searched in vain for a printing option unless the makers consider saving/exporting as a pdf a viable printing option? What about more flexibility in choosing where to save your work? Compatibility with S-Gallery and Ms WORD would be nice.
So far everything is going smooth👍👍.But it's a bit complicated since there is no tutorial for what each button works for. So I kind of need to learn and explore everything by myself. I also don't know how to edit my book title and description.😅😅
It would be nice if I can insert images. I like to write diary here, so pictures would help give more details for the future me. Markdown is still confusing to me. I don't know how I can use bold with markdown without the words actually become bold. Well, this app is still the most amazing writer app to me. Thank you so much. :))
This app is all I need: minimal and smooth. I can't find a better app which is compatible with my TABLET and PHYSICAL keyboard. Just one little thing I hope it will be added in any next versions: some books can be locked with a password.
- No PDf Export for Markdown notes! - No .docx,/.odf Export - No html. Export - closed source (pro features.) - It says "open source" but that is only partially true. The Pro-feature enabled app is cerainly not open source. - No import feature 20 $ Text Editor especially for writting purposes but PDF export is missing. This is a joke. MARKOR for Android is open source and has 100% of the necessary features and AND PDF EXPORT to offer. All for free (but one should donate it, right?).
Absolutely lovely. I like this writing app a lot, but it does really sadden me that they don't have italics, I await the day they finally pop up. Until then I'll just make do without. Update: fast reply to help, and it was just me being oblivious
telling you now that this is the best writing app ever. i have it on mobile and it's so easy (and fun!) to use. it's user-friendly, the workspace is amazing, and there are a lot of cool tools. even the free version is good! but i definitely recommend getting your money's worth by buying the pro if you're wanting it long term! try it :) ive had it for years and i have zero regrets. it constantly gets updated and the developers are super helpful. i fall in love with this app every day i write :)
Thank you devs for the good work as always. I wish there was a way to know the time and date the notes were written, and not merely the revision times in history. The ability to put things in bold, italics, & etc. would also be a very helpful feature to consider adding next. Best writing app in existence as of date, even better than the classic microsoft word if I do say so myself. I'm opting to buy the lifetime offer as soon as possible.
