Been using this app for the last year. Has been fantastic motivation through lockdown. I'm able to do 50 every day with relative ease, a far sight from my 20 last Jan. I would prefer to pay to get rid of the ads, but they are not intrusive, so not a big issue. Lots of different levels, easily able to pick one to suit. I like the touch feature - makes me do a proper pushup touching my nose on the phone which is on the floor.
Brilliant app, very useful and motivating but I'll make one humble suggestion. Could you add a 'number of pushups completed today' icon somewhere in the app. The current record, total and average are useful but it's impossible to tell exactly how many pushups you've completed in the day without getting out your calculator, taking notes of previous days tallies and subtracting those from your combined total. Thank you.
HORRIBLE because of ads. If this app didn't have ads, I'd give it 4 or 5 stars. The placements of the ads sometimes is put in impossible places where you can't x-out of the ad because you open the top tray (clock, battery, etc.), meaning you have to entirely close the app to close the ad, then re-enter. We're not talking non-intrusive ads, these are ads that pop up just at the right time, and where you are likely to press, and the attempt is to TRICK YOU into clicking on the ads. HORRIBLE business practice. Let me pay you $2 to get rid of your stupid ads, opt out, ANYTHING for god's sake, enough is enough.
At first I was quite skeptical of the app due to the simply trimmed layout of black and yellow, not as good audio encouragement, and The random order of pushups. However, after some dedication and trust in the app, the self-evaluation system has proven to be useful and after a mere 15 days I went from 10 to 40 in 1 go. The record system is great too, since i can see the progress and hard work put into training. Highly recommend for those who want to start training or need extra motivation.
Love the app, it works great and I've been using it and it's sister apps for a long time (4-5 years) only issue I have is recently they've stepped up the ads and it's extremely frustrating at times. Wish they had an option to pay a one time fee to be ad free. Don't think I'll move from it because I have used it for so long but if this persists I'll definitely look for something with more options
Would be awesome to add proximity sensor support, like in some other apps, so I wouldn't have to touch the phone with my nose, it would just sense me getting close to the phone. Also pressing "continue" button each time after rest doesn't make much sense. One more idea - the last repitition shouldn't stop counting, if I have some energy left, please count to as many repetitions as I can pull off. This would adjust for your real level, if initial setup was not perfectly accurate.
I would have given this app 5 stars had it counted the reps based on proximity than upon just contact in the screen. The exit button is always visible and hence there are times when the app stops or gets disrupted when you click on home button by mistake. A twek could be to place the mobile a few inches above the ground.. yet.. proximity sensing would be cool. I believe it has this option in the past. Also, syncing with Google fit feature never works. I see no records on Google fit.
It's certainly helping this beginner but 2 things are annoying. The widget displays total for the week but the daily is just an average. I don't want a daily average, it needs to show weekly total and daily total. Would also be nice to show numbers in the app instead of being a bar chart. App would be perfect for me if they did this. Or even put options in the app to change it if wanted.
good app that could be better with a few tweaks. i dont mind ads but not whilst in the middle of the exercise! the scaling up from one level to the next can be too much but the most annoying thing of late is that the backup and restore doesn't seem to work between devices... gutted i can't get my training history onto my new mobile. restore says complete but there's no actual data present. am i missing something?
The exercise programme itself is good. But the app is poorly designed – there is no way to input the actual number of push-ups manually. Whatever you press, it records that you have completed the full set. So it's useless as a record of what you've actually achieved!
Very good app, I started to use it during the COVID-19 outbreak to stay fit inside. I would recommend the ability to see the exact # of pushups you have completed on the records screen. The graph is nice but without the ability to tap and see an exact #, it's more eye candy than informational.
Cool app. One suggestion; please make a video/add a link for a video where you can "learn" how to make a perfect push upp. Common mistakes, advantages and disadvantages.
So far it's not bad. It's a little inconvenient that once the resting time is over it doesn't automatically jump to the next 'round', you have to manually tap Continue every time. It would be so much better to just jump into place and start once the time is over.
I am deleting this app, becasue I missed out on inputting my push ups before midnight, which meant that my daily push ups got skewed. If I was able to input or edit data from previous days I would still use this app. If you input your data perfectly, this app is good. If you make mistake when inputting data and want it to be accurate, it can cause some trouble
I like the app, but I wish I could see upcoming push-ups over the next days or weeks. I also wish it said push-ups for days active. I do them every other day, so I don't get the best measurement. Overall its a good program though and counts my push-ups well. If it misses one, I can manually input it.
Good app, it's very helpful but the only thing that I don't like and think that can be improved is the graph, the graph is very hard to understand and you can't really tell how many push ups you have done in a certain day or period. Hope the new update improves the graph.
The best app ever! I started with 9 but now I can do up to 140. After I had completed all the stages, I started it all again from stage 1 with twice as many push ups. Perhaps you should consider creating second version or adding a few more stages.
Not many push up apps synchronise with Google fit. This one does. I also like feedback option, which affect next training difficulties. Great app.
This is a great app. I like working out on my own, but I realized my typical workout schedule starting becoming redundant. This spiced things up a lot. Great app.
Unusable! I am on day 3 and the app crashes after a few seconds of starting a workout.(Note 9) Also, not everyone likes ads and is willing to pay to remove them. Why isn't there an option to pay to remove ads? This could be a good app if those two MAJOR issues were resolved.
Simple and helps build a routine that lets you take it as easy or as hard as you need it. The increase in reps and count is moderate and ensures you don't overdo it. The only feature I would like more is a timed rest period at the end of the exercise- similar to the one between reps.
Good app. I have used it for about 12 days now and I have need increased my pushup numbers from less than 10 at a time to 21. However, the Record seems not to have 31st July. Update: The app is good and I recommend it. I wish it showed how many pushups I have done today, or that the Record chart had horizontal gridlines.
Awesome app, well designed levels. However, as part of improvement, I would like to be able to calculate weekly progress Mon-Sun instead of Sun-Sat. Other than that, it would be better to start new round after rest by touching 0 (and start counting) , instead of pressing "Continue" then continuing with 1st push up. Manual number input during practice session would be great also.
