Looks like the estimated outputs are very close to reality to measued stars on the inverter hence a lot of confidence. Yet to explore fully.
The app is great, only problem is that forecast isn't very accurate, the app says that it's clear where I live and looking outside it's clearly overcast. I also found a small bug, when entering your desired currency, the text in the text box is set to white making it impossible to see what you are typing. Other than these small issues the app seams to be great.
Application is good but guys you should change the weather channel... Try to use meteo blue.. Thanks
Some useful features but I find the weather to be wrong as soon as I installed app. Not a good omen! That impacts PV output estimate a lot. Most important is to estimate the sun output the next day at around evening to decide to limit battery use or not. Already thinking it's terrible weather forecast ability.
So far so good. Still using free version. Will upgrade when it wows me.
The free version of the app is too crippled to allow evaluation—I'd suggest a month of full access or something. as is, the best I could say of it is that it's almost useless. But it's far worse than that, it's aggressively invasive: the developers had the bad judgment to allow ads that take over my stereo. Completely unacceptable!
I would have given 5 stars but the too much ad has overweight the usefulness. Just like food in the dirt. Dear team, Thank you for your reply. I'm well aware that everyone needs revenue to order to sustain but I'm concerned about the size of your ad. Its more than half the size of the screen and in the middle where the main things should be. I feel like the main purpose of this app is to watch the ad. There is a clear line between generating revenue and being greedy. I hope that makes clear.
It is a very good app of solar energy estimation for each day. It also provides calibration to adjust estimated power using actual solar power produced. It also provides adjustments of solar panels angle and tilt. I like it. However, if they provides option of actual energy produced per day in database by manual or automated way, then it will be very useful for data analysis.
Recurring subscription plans only, which are more expensive as rental fees than what competitor apps cost to buy. With no option to do the latter, this milkingware is now being uninstalled. As for the whining about having to eat, pay rent, cover expenses and maintain the product, guess what? So does everybody else, yet millions of companies around the world thrive by creating something that sells, instead of demanding to be paid a salary by their customers just because it's on a mobile platform.
EDIT: I emailed as requested and never heard back. Very disappointing. The weather part of the app is very flaky. Today I'm supposed to be getting 2.17kW in the rain, when I'm actually getting 0.9kW The app itself is good but the weather forecasting part is often very different from reality. I often find the app reporting cloud when in reality we have blue skies. Unfortunately this means the solar forecast is often under reported. If this was fixed I would consider purchasing the full version
Highly appreciate your prompt reply. All working well, just subscribed to the annual plan after using the free version for a few weeks. I would advice users to purchase for 2 reasons. First it unlocks many very useful features and omits the ads and also this is a very tiny contribution, well deserved by the devs. I dont know of any other app half as good. These guys put in a lot of effort. If I can pay thousands of $$ for my pv system, this app is the icing on the cake. Keep it up guys.
Had this for a week or so and must say it's next to useless. Not sure where you get your info from, but the predictions are beyond belief. I had more success just scanning trusted weather sites and making my own judgements. A real shame as an app that worked would be so useful.
Too many ads and links to ads. Hard to get any feel for the app. Maybe limit reviews to people that have purchased it? It looks good in the pictures but that about all I could. Review for this app. Three stars for potential.
Not really optimized for small-scale PV systems like RV/boat -but they do have a different paid app for that too. Everything is very nerfed in free versions so I can't properly evaluate worth. If they think I'm going to invest here in a premium product only seeing this tiny nerfed bit they are fooling themselves. Will keep shopping other developers.
Far to many ads and pop ups asking to rate. Can't see what my current days forecast is, only the next hour(s). Can't see a need for it if you have a solcast account. Yes it might be free, but it's so nonfunctional, that I don't see a reason to spend money on it. In other words, buy it to see what it's capable of?
Expensive and very limited. It only allows to input basic parameters. For this price, one should be able to directly connect to the pv system. Really pointless and a waste of money
Works realy well. A great app to assist in the power management of you solar. It helps alot in the planing of when to charge our company cars to maintain the highest amount of self usage. Accuracey is good. A big thanks to the developer.
Must say until now, I am not dissatisfied. Very interesting and informative. But will evaluate again after a few weeks. I live high in the Italian alps (fully off grid) and things can and will change rapidly every once in a while.... Especially around this time. Keep you informed.
Testing app, I have a portable power station hooked to different levels of panels Goal Zero 500x at the moment so, some parts of app might be useful, partly depends on if the app can get position while offline and predict optimum angles to setup of my portable panels...I can guess at most of that, an actual measurement of watts available, the Fluke solar irradiance meters are out of stock and cost $350... maybe when they are available... the ads gave me a chuckle the Goal Zero 1000x looking a
Hmmm seems good..have to agree with others adds to big..would gladly pay to upgrade..how ever not per annum..one off..you say in the app you want everyone to use...and i agree it is preaty good app..but yea...also add a RV panel calculator and boom job done..will try for awhile...but adds will kill it for me...Thanks for the effort in making it..seems a good start
Was close without calibration. Calibration depends on accurately moving a dial which is difficult. Better to have the option to enter by keyboard
Waste of money, very inaccurate. The app should rather allow one to calibrate on a daily total, not on an hourly or instantaneous basis. That way the daily total can be more accurate then one can forecast what the next weeks production will be....
Provisional 4 star rating. App seems to be able to do what I got the app for. As far as I can tell, there is no competition at present. Will update my rating when I have had more opportunity to assess it, including the accuracy of the solar power forecasts.
Fantastic and fast. Easy to open and user friendly. Reflects correct information as expected
App works ok but the . calibration function is not a use once set and forget process, i.e. need to recalibrate every time as actual output vs projected output varied significantly.
Does what I need, at a glance. Obviously, it can only be as accurate as the forecast cloud and weather.
Having left a one star review saying there were discrepancies between the app and my tesla powerwall, they commented to ask me to do the legwork to sort out their problem. Sorry guys. Buy your own powerwall and do your own research.
