Having to do the numerical analysis part on a small smart phone screen was really annoying. I think it would have been better to have the 'games' on the smart phone, and have a separate link to the tests that we could do on our laptops. I don't think I have ever missed as many questions as I did during this numerical test. The numbers and charts are just too close together making it hard to read.

I felt like this game was testing my reflexes rather than actual ability to perform in a job. Also I finished with 8100 points and when I checked back it said 7100 (I know they are working on this, people have had this issue and overall, it does not affect submitted score but come on, no one at QA seen this?) Overall, just a disappointing and frustrating experience. To end on a positive note however, the app looked pretty.

I cant comment specifically for this version of the game but I played the desktop version. I thought to leave a rating here to warn people who may use the PC version expecting any better than the impression left for the mobile app version. It might be one of the buggiest, least user friendly applications I have ever had the displeasure of using. I dont necessarily have a problem with the exercises and content, but the delivery is truly shocking. Constant crashes on the app need to be fixed.

I don't mind playing the games on my phone, and can understand that they measure interesting behaviours, such as attention, ability to bounce back and strategic planning, but doing a numerical reasoning assessment on a phone, especially when the formatting is not good makes no sense. There is a clear advantage here for those that simply have larger phones! I have worked with UX for mobile devices, and this design decision is just terrible. Try playing it on an iphone se or z5 compact PwC!

Innovative approach to assessment, kudos. It's unfair to have the aptitude aspect on the app, totally reduces efficiency - moving between phone, calculator, pen/note... it just wouldn't bring out the best or give a fair ground to participants - there are 000s of screen resolutions and types everywhere.

Simply a buggy mess. By the time I'd got about a third of the way through it had froze up/crashed multiple times. This is no doubt one of the most user unfriendly application I, personally, have ever had the displeasure of using.

absurdly long. advantage over those using tablet but not for people like me who uses a tiny phone. can't even skip some numerical questions so i ended up getting stuck and not be able to come back!!!!

I'd be really interested to see some peer-reviewed publications showing evidence that this approach actually works. There were the usual online tests (basic maths) featured but the rest was largely testing your reaction speed. I am open-minded and happy to be proved wrong but I really cannot see how the majority of the elements tested would have any relevancy to a professional working situation. I was able to access a report afterwards, and the traits I had apparently demonstrated were not accurate, and I don't think anyone who knew me at all would make any similar assessments. The app itself is fairly low quality, reminding me of flash games from 20 years ago. The audio is really irritating, repetitive and distracting. Poor, waste of time! Do not bother with this unless you are desperate for a career with PwC for whatever reason.

Post some journal papers showing strong scientific evidence on the validity of how psychometric scores can predict job performance below, and I'll put my score up. I couldn't find anything concrete but then again these tests pretty much said I'm below average on most terms :) For any candidate wondering the test consists of matching stamps, pumping up balloons, opening secret doors(based on reaction speed) and finally some basic induction/numerical reasoning questions. For any candidates failing this game don't worry, you probably wouldn't pass the next stage where the recruiters throw away 50% off the CV's because they don't want to hire people with bad luck ;) AdiĆ³s!

The fun aspect of this disappear when you have to complete the same game for multiple companies. This game is junk science. Yes some psychological experiments upon which this game has been built are valid. However no such research has been carried out to assess the combined effect of putting together isolated experiments. Certainly nothing has been done to prove it's effectiveness in hiring. Regardless of the science this is a great drain of time compared to other non-game based tests.

Absolutely terrible app, I spent 90minutes on it, then during the break there is a title screen button, after which I had to start all over again!

Pan. K. Sep 21, 2019

I tried to practice but it is not similar. The truth is that most candidates are aware of how past aptitude tests are marked or the reasoning behind them. Meaning that they are more familiar with them and they understand the weight a mistake may bare. In these games we dont know the weight of the mistake and it is easier to do one therefore more mistakes of unknown weight result to pressure on the candidate and to affect him on performance. It makes us feel that we are failing from the beginning

I have previously interned at a big tech consulting firm and I can say with confidence that this assessment doesn't measure qualities relevant to the job. Although candidate's reflex can to some extent be an indicator of overall intellectual sharpness, many professional decisions require careful consideration rather than hectically clicking on things on the screen. I really don't understand how this game is meant to assess someone's suitability for a role in audit or consulting.

How a large multimillion dollar company decides to use a game with zero relevance (apart from the final segment) to jobs in accountancy or finance is beyond me. I'm a student looking for a experience with professionals and yet blowing up balloons and pressing buttons to match the shape or colours shown does not seem to be an apt way of evaluating my capabilities in an office job. Whatever happened to CVs and interviews, face to face with your employees and clients. As far as I can tell this company has lost a lot of credibility by taking on such a poor concept.

A. G. u. Nov 15, 2018

Easy to use, and much better than other assessments I've been through. As I understand it, this is screening for certain characteristics so I don't see the need for a more formal processs as a preliminary assessment. Much prefer this was compared to the long winded process I normally have to go through.

Nel. C. Oct 5, 2018

I went through some weeks back The other reviews here currently that talk about having no relevance to the job and ask for interviews, miss the point of this exercise entirely. This game tests your behavioural traits. You'll gain an understanding having read your feedback report after. As for experience and the process being CV orientated. Bare in mind this is for an entry level graduate scheme where people from all backgrounds have the option to apply. You'll have plenty of time to learn the technicalities. As for interviews and the human side of the process, those will come in the subsequent stages.

Score change?? I went back into the app to see if there was a report, only to find my score was showing differently to when I completed the assessment the first time?! Is this a bug?

B. P. Oct 29, 2020

Recruiting people via a smartphone app which I assume has tonnes of junk "science" supporting it is peak 2020 corporate. If you want applicants to take you seriously, take applicants seriously. Downloading a piece of software where you can't change the volume in app (relative to your device) and where it forces full screen for a FRIST ROUND SCREENING is ridiculous. Clearly pwc are no longer commited to obtaining fresh talent.

Est. W. Oct 13, 2019

I checked my internet connect and my user name. I tried pc and ipad. Still CAN'T log in! After that, I sent emails to support department, and there was no reply!

And. B. F. Dec 17, 2019

What an absolute rubbish. Unbelievable that large companies like PwC and Accenture use these bogus science tests for serious assessment. No wonder why MBB that uses simple online tests and then interviews gets the serious talent. You'll just alienate good candidates with 5 different kind of annoying online tests before they get to do two other tests that might get them to an AC not even a proper one on one interview.

Pan. K. Dec 2, 2019

I went through the comments and I won't repeat what other people said. The one thing that I'd like to point out is that you argued that this test is based on actual scientific findings and referenced two publications from half a century ago and another from almost 20 years ago. Don't you think that these references are extremely outdated? Haven't mankind discovered something else more revolutionizing? With so much resource, this is level of research at PwC is disappointing.

What you call a psychometric assessment I call a rhythm game; I always knew my lack of rhythm would come to haunt me! App itself works fine, I am not knowledgeable enough in the topic to praise or critique its validity.

Par. B. Nov 9, 2018

Only the last two levels really matter and other companies are more straightforward about their logical and numerical reasoning aptitude tests and don't waste your time with irrelevant games.

Raj. M. Dec 25, 2018

Terrible interface the questions at the end are worded terribly and don't give suffice information for the question. Most of these games are pointless and tedious

Ale. G. Sep 30, 2020

No issues with the working of the app, however the round involving unlocking a vault with the rotating 'key' has given me a severe migraine which made the subsequent, maths based question near impossible

Mat. M. Mar 18, 2021

App is broken on my OPPO Find X2 Pro - unable to take test as when you click to enter your password, no keyboard shows up so you can't enter it.

mat. g. Sep 22, 2018

Pretty dummy game for getting a job. It's better to use personal interviews for hiring people. Not everyone has the same capabilities.

Chr. T. Jan 3, 2020

Awful experience with many bugs. I fail to understand how many of the concepts in this game are supposed to work and measure how you act in real situations. In a way I am glad I did not get through to the next stage as a company that implements a game like this in their application process is not one I want to work for.

After finishing this assessment I got a score of 8395. However, when I logged back in it said I got a score of 7395 which is 1000 points less. I dont know why that happened. Its demoralising to know that I got rejected because of a glitch which was not my fault. I guess it is what it is.
