It's an overall good app in terms of features, especially muting unwanted tags which are locked behind a paywall on the normal Pixiv app. But there are many times where the app just stops working altogether. It can sometimes be fixed by closing and reopening the app but others it just doesn't work for long periods of time. Other than that the performance of the app of spotty, often taking an embarrassing amount of time to open an image. It's a shame I have to rely on it but it's the best we got.
I wanna thank the developer who made PxView. It's my favourite third-party Pixiv app working well in both illustrations and novels parts, especially novels. Only 2 of the third-party apps I found have got the function, and PxView worked more smooth than the other one. The app really saved my days. But there're still some issues troubling me that I hope they could be fixed: 1. [Urgent] I cannot log into my account in the app now due to authorization issue. (I guess it might owe to Pixiv, but if possible, wish you could try to fix this, pls. My PxView cannot even work now.) 2. It automatically logs out when the connection fails.
For me, browsing and adding to my art collection, this app is better than the actual website in many ways. Find something you like, heart it, look at related works, follow promising talent, rinse, repeat. Scrolling is smooth and aesthetically pleasing. I wish there was more English translations, but you could honestly use it just fine without ever typing anything in. I want to know why you can't search your own collection for common tags i.e. "Fate/Zero", "landscape", or "So Cool!"
Best pixiv cilent app. But the app starts to lag and slow down when i'm scrolling and looking through artworks after a few minutes of use. Sometimes it wouldn't respond to my touches due to the lag and slow down. Please fix this issue if you have spare time.
Like/heart icon status lags. Can't like/heart something if it doesn't fill the screen enough vertically to cause scrolling. Must first expand ("see more") lists in order to swipe through them mote than shown thumbnails. Tags take up too much space/padding.
this app is nearly perfect in what I'm looking for, but the only features missing are to easily be able to switch to popular, and the english listing of a non-english tag Edit: both of these things have been solved! This is a very solid app
Almost always crashed aftar minutes for every running. So depressing, otherwise nise job. A little suggestion ; how about including owner (user) name for saving images, and; will you ever add ability to save animations? Trims for this nice little app.
Only show 30 pictures in popularity filter result in each category while there're probably thousands pictures in total. Why Can I not able to sort from the most favorite to least favorite? That would be a feature that make the most sense in an app like this
Pretty good. Some things that I would like implemented would be hd images on first load (settings toggle) , floating save button stays there, and images on swipes are preloaded
Great alternative to the official app, but there's issues here and there to make it perfect. I also wish the dark mode theme applied to the background when viewing an image.
Not perfect, and could use some polish but performance is great so far and most essential features work. I can't wait for future improvement. Is there a donate option? I would love to support your development.
Appreciate the open source, third party client. Still some bugs and a bit slow of loading on my old phone, but overall a robust app.
I liked the Material interface, but the UI skipped frames the entire time. Wasn't enjoyable to use at all.
It's a great companion app, but with the rendering of high-res images being so poor it's not worth keeping around.
great app, can only view top 50 or so popular search, also app slows down if you go too deep within images clicking on others. but still the best one that is free
Was working well, bit would become slow after a while. Now I can't even login (although I can login via browser). It was fun while it lasted
Decent app. Clearly superior to the Pixiv app, but runs out of memory during extended use and has no way to enable R-18 content in recommendations.
Easy to use and has every function it should have. Sometimes fc due to long time using I guess? Otherwise perfect app.
Performance is a lot better after the recent updates! I Really like this app a lot more than the official, keep up the great work.
A good experience, but the distinct lack of sorting by tags on an artist's page harms my experience. Will update to five star if implemented.
Sometime after few minutes it gets too slow and even stuck at scrolling. I have better internet and enough ram. Please fix this!!
Has a pretty severe memory leak that causes the app to slow down with usage until it crashes.
It works much better than Pixiv. By the way, what's the chances of getting dark mode? Edit: I didn't notice it it. Awesome! Thanks!
I can no longer log in with google it just throws a 403 disallowed_useragent error. But before when it didn't it was amazing.
Its not letting me edit my previous review but what I meant was it gives a "view more" option for related works but unfortunately it does not give many results like the website does.
Great experience, like using official app, but can sort by category of choosing including by popularity which is great, keep up the good work 👍🏿
This apps is awesome! I can download some favourite pictures on pixiv easier and faster! But, sadly i can't download the gifs:(
A real good client, but cannot download GIFs. I don't know why Pixiv makes it so difficult to save GIFs.
works really well, just wished there was an option to choose what we wanted to see first in rankings
It's Okay The Pros: + You get to use filters even if you are not a premium account (this feature is limited though, probably by pixiv). + Multiple image download (for posts with multiple images in them) with one click. The Cons: - Image saving is buggy. Sometimes it will only save part of the image and not the entire image. Saving images in general is unreliable which makes the multi-image saving feature a bit of a gamble/pointless. - It's slow as hell. I'm not sure why it takes so long to load. If you are just using the pixiv api (which was reverse engineered by someone online) it shouldn't take this long. - Memory leaks. I recommend it solely for the use of filters. To be honest, the app is just too slow, I usually find myself using the filter feature to (heart) popular images and then switch back to Pixiv for everything else.
