Pythagorea 60°

Check how well you know the geometry by solving construction problems on a triangular grid.

> 277 tasks: from very simple to really hard
> 24 subjects to explore
> 66 geometric terms in a glossary
> Easy to use

*** About ***
Pythagorea 60° is a collection of more than 270 geometric problems of different kind that can be solved without complex constructions or calculations. All objects are drawn on a grid whose cells are equilateral triangles. A lot of levels can be solved using just your geometric intuition or by finding natural laws, regularity, and symmetry.

*** Just play ***
There are no sophisticated instruments and moves are not counted. You can construct straight lines and segments only and set points in line intersections. It looks very easy but it is enough to provide an infinite number of interesting problems and unexpected challenges.

*** Is this game for you? ***
Euclidea users can take a different view of constructions, discover new methods and tricks, and check their geometric intuition.

Pythagorea users who played on a square grid will not be bored. The triangular grid is full of surprises.

If you have just started your acquaintance with geometry, the game will help you understand important ideas and properties of the Euclidean geometry.

If you passed the course of geometry some time ago, the game will be useful to renew and check your knowledge because it covers most of ideas and notions of the elementary geometry.

If you are not on good terms with geometry, Pythagorea 60° will help you to discover another side of the subject. We get a lot of user responses that Pythagorea and Euclidea made it possible to see the beauty and naturalness of geometric constructions and even fall in love with geometry.

And do not miss your chance to familiarize children with mathematics. Pythagorea is an excellent way to make friends with geometry and benefit from spending time together.

*** All definitions at your fingertips ***
If you forgot a definition, you can instantly find it in the app’s glossary. To find the definition of any term that is used in conditions of a problem, just tap on the Info (“i”) button.

*** Main topics ***
> Length, distance, and area
> Parallels and perpendiculars
> Angles and triangles
> Angle and perpendicular bisectors, medians, and altitudes
> Pythagorean Theorem
> Circles and tangents
> Parallelograms, trapezoids, and rhombuses
> Symmetry, reflection, and rotation

*** Why Pythagorea ***
Pythagoras of Samos was a Greek philosopher and mathematician. He lived in 6th century BC. One of the most famous geometric facts bears his name: the Pythagorean Theorem. It states that in a right triangle the square of the length of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the squares of those of the two other sides. While playing Pythagorea you often meet right angles and rely on the Pythagorean Theorem to compare lengths of segments and distances between points. That is why the game is named after Pythagoras.

Really cool concept that's missing all substance. If the game explained the concepts, taught lessons or even just helped out when you're stuck, it would be a lot better. There are frustrating levels where it feels like you're left trying to understand how the game works instead of the math concept at play.

Impressive and novel puzzle play. I only wish they gave you pointers on the math behind finding some of the answers, although I realize that may be a daunting undertaking. Maybe just a blurb I could research further. Many things you can do by eye. But surely there is a mathematical process to derive the answer. All 3 of their apps I have are impressive.

I would love this app if it explained ANY of the underlying concepts or how to calculate the answers. I love a good thinking game, and I really enjoy math (especially visually displayed math), but it's been like six years since I last took a geometry course, and this app just expects me to know everything about it. It gives basic, bare-minimum definitions, but no clues on how to reach an answer. Very disappointing, and I'm uninstalling the app.

At first I was skeptical, but thinking in triangles instead of squares is its own interesting challenge, and soon I had to dedicate my time to solving every puzzle. Like its Cartesian predecessor, Pythagorea 60 has very elegant mechanics. If you like math, this game is definitely for you!

This could be so much better. It could be a teaching tool explaining how to bisect, how to construct, how to logic, and how this is all geometry. It could show how this is all useful. But instead it is a game about guessing. In the end I just feel cheated that I wasted my time in a fruitless game I made mistake after mistake and lucked into solutions. It looked like it might be a tool to learn and have fun doing so. What a shame I learned nothing but frustration.

Amazing app, the reason I gave it 4 not 5 is because it doesn't have the option to "Free sketch" on a blank full screen of triangle grid, also a Sysors tool or Eraser tool is highly needed, undo is not enough ... Wish to see in the next update

I love the that this game does not show you the formulas. If you choose, you can construct your own formulas and truly advance your understanding of the nature of the solutions. I would like to see this game in several types of tessellations.

Very good. Challenging puzzles are fantastic. I wish there were some tutorial type hints though. I don't know how to find the answers, and an explanation of some of the formulas to use.

I've played your game series since first launch. The only things is missing is the newcome aspect ratios of phones. Such as 18:9. *update* After 2.02 update, the 18:9 ratio is fully supported. Well done guys.

No instructions, just a testing area. It would be nice to add links or information for the individuals who gave not previously done this level of math, and fir those who might have studied it at some point, but have forgotten the process.

I'm stuck at the level 6.4. The game won't let me select the intersection of two lines, it selects other points near to it. :(

super enjoyable and addictive! thank you! solved all of them with the exception of 2 Jane's triangles. Jane's section seems to have multiple solutions.

I literally cannot see the game. First, the font is ridiculously small. Next, the color contrast makes it hard to see. I would love to play this game. Please fix!

An excellent mind challenging game which you can learn some new ways to solve geometry problems from another point of view 👏👏👏

Fun and challenging but this 60º axes are a bit annoying sometimes and, although you solve it, you don't really understand why....

Mar. M. S. Aug 6, 2020

More of a training aid than a game. Very good but you can't jump any questions you get stuck on.

Vis. K. May 11, 2022

This game, like its cousin, is equally stubborn. Won't take any proofs other than the ones fed into its system. Even if the answer is right. 18.6 is just one example.

It's good brainfeed, but hints and solutions would have been helpful

Rac. J. Mar 5, 2020

As fun as the original Pythagorea, but even more of a brain teaser! Awesome job again, guys! I was sooo excited when I saw this new app suggested :D

Pau. S. Jan 10, 2021

Basically the same as Pythagorea but with a triangle grid instead of a square one. Nothing new.

tia. Jan 13, 2020

The biggest problem with this game is not being taught how to do any of the more complex levels.

Ama. D. Sep 21, 2018

After playing this. I never got the guts to say, I learnt geometry in school !!

Dav. C. Feb 12, 2022

Enjoying this... visual and just mathematical enough

Dal. T. Jul 29, 2019

rewarding learning play. Grows new brain cells. Miraclegrow(tm) for neurons.

Rob. M. Jul 28, 2020

As you go up through each level, it fries your brain!

Nic. D. Jul 9, 2019

Maybe you should increase self-advertising. I completed Pythagorea months ago and found Pythagorea 60° only now.
