This app is terrible. It constantly goes offline whether at home or away, and that makes it pretty much useless. There's no user guide either, its guess work. They dont notify you of software updates, or how new features work. The company takes forever to answer requests for help, and then doesn't answer questions.
Never connects to camera remotely. Constantly shows "connection close" status despite the camera showing network connected when viewed directly. Support is NON-EXISTANT. The cameras work great but this app is total garbage and don't expect to get any help when something doesn't work correctly. The support site is likewise a trash heap.
It works! I mean it took a few times like 9 tries but thats cuz I didnt know what I was doing. Wish I could view as a slide show on my phone like I can do on my tv. Also things like (dst) is explaind but what about all the other abbreviations? Thank you for such a wonderful app it helps my stress level go way down. (I.) (I.) > \/
Motion alerts don't work on my phone (Moto G5 Plus, Android Oreo), except occasionally when connected my home WiFi. The DVR periodically disappears in the app. Minimal help documentation on motion alerts within the app, and nothing useful about the app on Q-See support website, beyond basic installation. No response received from Q-See to my support request. Without motion alerts and playback on my phone while away from home, the entire DVR security system is useless to me, and is being returned.
The latest version of the app has totally overhauled the app and it works much better now as an administrator tool. The old app, if you're still on it, fell short of a manufacturer app in my opinion, basically about as useful as any 3rd party security camera app, this one is much better. Would be nice if other legacy systems (QT) could be accessed in same app but I'm not hurting for it.
Your app doesn't work at all! Won't connect despite all the troubleshooting. Your tech had no clue or willingness to help. I am tech savvy & can troubleshoot most issues to a resolution. I was baffled I couldn't resolve, then I saw the feedback on GooglePlay & that answered my bafflement. It's not me, nor the unhelpful tech agent, it's the code, & that explains the lack of support by tech...they know it & have given up as a result. I purchased two arlo systems as a result. See u non-qsee!
So far it's a good little app. One issue I'm having is that after about 10 minutes or so of inactivity or if the phone is turned off for a while I need to for the app to close then reopen then re-add the cameras back. I'm running this on a note 9.
Worked good for awhile. Now im not able to view anything unless i use 1 camera at a time and it has to be in hd mode. I have to do that everytime i try to view any camera. Renders haveing these useless.
Not working remotely, looked online, says to login using ip adress , but when doing that it won't connect and keeps saying connection close. Have attempted to get ahold of the company. No luck yet. App used to be great
Complicated and hard to read introductions. Great pics but cannot figure out how to reduce on demand.
Relay time out issue and no one can seem to figure it out ...uninstall / reinstall is not working and thats all "support" offers for a fix
unable to view my can here. no instruction. learn by guessing. And unable to link my phon with my cam and the app does nothing, just stay here like a stone in a dry river.
keep up with home safety from a far, only problem it's only live view really need to be able to look back at least 8 hr to have real comfort about your home.
The app works well but for some reason when I leave my house, I can't watch from my phone. I don't know if it's a bug or not.
Interface is a bit confusing. Layout view is not being displayed.
I like that I can see my cameras on this app. I wish you can do an app for smart TVs.

Sometime in the last month or so I have lost the ability to view my cameras. Not sure if it was a phone update or something in the app. When ever I want to view one of the cameras I have to go in to the menu and select HD. I can go to the settings menu and save, but when I quit out of the app none of the settings are applied. It reverts back and I'm not able to view any of the cameras till I go into each camera and set it back to HD. Please see if this can be fixed.
