Absolutely horrible. My phone is hooked up to the onboard WiFi, I can check emails and go to Google etc but I cannot access the entertainment app. Everytime I do, it asks me to connect to the Wi-Fi. I click on that, it takes me to a webpage saying you are connected then nothing! I go back to my app and repeat the whole process without viewing anything. App is useless, I'd give it 0 if I could

Not that great. I've used it successfully (and the ads were annoying), but had trouble on a domestic flight last night, where the onboard entertainment insisted that no in-flight entertainment could be accessed through this app, only through Q-streaming..! Something's gone wrong somewhere, and I'd recommend having a backup entertainment option for flights.

I had no problems with this app, unlike everyone else seems to have had. I patiently sat through about 3 minutes worth of adds, a few seconds of black screen and my selected movie played start -finish without issue. I started watching a second movie, sat through the same adds and movie started, again without issue, only problem was my flight ended before the movie finished.

I don't see the point of this app. Using it on your phone strains you're neck on a long flight. Clearly an EHS issue. It's only useful on a laptop or tablet. It's functions are substantially more limited than the traditional plane entertainment unit that it tries to replace. You are forced to watch 2 minutes of ads before each movie selection. If you accidentally minimise your screen at this point the ads start over from the beginning. Very annoying. And why do we have ads again? I didn't see any fast forward options while watching a movie. At one point I had a pop up message saying I can double tap for options but it didn't work for me. No flight maps to follow your progress.

Extremely buggy. Have had success previously but have now been stuck on a flight where the app will not play any of the media (accept for the ads of course). Other flights where I have had it work it is still often slow and painful. Disappointing when you often pay the extra money to fly Qantas for these comforts

Simply put it does not work. I used the previous version on dozens of flights without a single problem. The new version comes out and it will not even connect, it tells me i do not have a wifi connection and they put the blame on my tablet despite everything else including the previous version working prrfectly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice just to check with no change. this is rubbish

I'm using a Google Pixel 3A phone. When I select a movie, all the ads play flawlessly, but then the movie won't play, it just says try again. This is the worst possible scenario! I don't want the ads, I want the movie! I get "[DRM_FAILED_TO_PROVISION] Unable to play protected content at this time. please connect to the internet internet and try again." I am connected... I see the ads. Any chance of fixing this before we land?

WIFI ONLY. NOT AN ENTERTAINMENT APP. The app connects for WIFI but won't give me access to the entertainment portion of the app. WIFI access is handy but as an "entertainment" app it is completely useless. Please rename the app Qantas Wifi Access app.

Using Android on a pixel 5. Installed the app and connected successfully to the plane's wifi, but the app would not play anything. Tried restarting the phone, with the same result.

Flew on Qantas link yesterday CNS to BNE on 717. Much frustration in trying to connect. Phone with app version 3.1.1 could not connect. Ask flight attendant for assistance but she could not get is to connect. She said the wifi was getting old and some of the newer phones had trouble connecting. I had secondt only 2 year old Samsung also with the same app. . I was able to connect but with much buffering and frequently kicked off. Watched pearl and folk lit add may times but never got to movie.

Doesn't work. Either the wifi doesn't cater to amount of ppl using the app or it's the app. Tried various movies and shows and even tried listening to an audio book which is broken down into chapters (starts well for the first 2min and then it freezes). More testing required.

Melbourne to Singapore, cannot use the app as no internal Wi-Fi network. Had to rely on the TV screen of the front seat, which freezes upon pressing any button and very slow in response. The remote control hid inside the armrest is filthy and a wipe down produced a brown WetOne. I know it was a connecting flight from L.A. but shouldn't you at lease give it a quick sweep/vac? My seat had crumbs everywhere. I have been flying with Qantas for >20 years, this was the worst flight experience ever.

Goes into an infinite loop when I launch this app, was unable to watch any movies or TV shows on my flight as there were no TVs in the back on the seats. I paid for a full service ticket but did not get full service. I went to the website but could not find any options to stream. Please fix this defect people as need this app for entertainment on their long flights.

Didn't have problems with the app at all. I was able to connect on my samsung phone and tablet very easily. You can just fast forward through the adds. Didn't cut out all all. Others around me didn't have problems either.

Frequently travel with Qantas (almost weekly) and have enjoyed the easy of the App for entertainment many times. Did experience a recent issue where the selected content would pay something else. This resulted in a random selection as you never knew what it would plan.

Atrocious. Unusable. Unable to stream more than 5 seconds of video during flight. I hope you didn't pay money to develop this... Cause that's what it looks like.

Same comment as previous reviews. The app used to work but on the last update (build 12) I cannot connect even though I have connected to the streaming WiFi on the plane. A lot of my flights lately have had no other entertainment options, so very disappointed with the app.

Works well when it works. I have a Galaxy Tab S4. The app will not work on this tablet. Instead of entertainment on a nice 10 inch tablet, it's my phone or nothing. I'll give this app a better rating when out works on my tablet. I had the opportunity to use the app at the end of last week (28 June). It now works as expected. It does a good job of providing categorised selections. Playback on my Tab S4 is smooth - no discernible stutters, etc.

This is a great app if you want to watch ads during your Qantas flight. Tried it on 2 LG flagship phones and a Samsung Tab S2 over the course of a year of regular travel, on multiple Android versions and numerous reinstallations. It never gets past the ads. I give up.

Useless. Tablets connects to WiFi and able to use other apps, but not this one. Every menu option leads me back to the Qantas website. No entertainment available.

no stars, what a balls up. browser connects , download the app , then the app wants me to connect to the wifi that I'm already connected , the wifi that downloaded the app.. Joycey........ what the hell are you doing. spend some of your profit on seat back screens that dont fail. Edit 2021... wow I was angry. I think there was a security issue i had to click on or off in settings. Works well now
