Used to use airvideo on iOS but with the growing number of Android devices on the network, this one caters for both and does the job nicely on lower end devices and high end alike. Never had a problem, keep up the great work..
I uninstalled this app together with the server software. There hasn't been any update and development for a long time and on my last use it wasn't working. It wouldn't play my media which it used to. This was my previous go to media server, but since been long overshadowed by much matured and fully supported emby media server.
It's a really solid application. I stream from my Windows 10 computer to my Android 6.0.1 phone and very rarely experience any problems. I highly recommend it.
I have been using this ever since I left Apple, this is the best streamer software that I have found. Keep up the good work
Do not waste your time. Just freezes. Good for hot days refrigerator.
But I think the dev either abandoned the project or doesn't feel a need to update too much
used to be a 5 star app. but now it crashes if casting and developers have gone silent. i have a galaxy s7
In the past it had no problem. After some updates of Qloud Server, it is not working. I do not know why.
Long time user, really like the app ('though I'd love being able to download transcoded videos, like Airvideo does for iOS). However, the last server version for OS X doesn't work in my Mac. Here's my log: : I 02:04:57 app server version v4.1 I 02:04:57 ui server daemon is not connected, try to launch daemon I 02:04:57 ui start server daemon in app mode I 02:04:57 ui start server daemon succeed W 02:05:00 ui fail to launch daemon in app mode : err = Process crashed W 02:05:07 ui QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 3 W 02:05:07 ui QPainter::setCompositionMode: Painter not active W 02:05:07 ui QPainter::end: Painter not active, aborted W 02:05:37 ui server daemon is not connected 8 This app is totally worth 5 stars, I'll update my rating as soon as I can use it again :)
This was my go-to app for streaming through a Chromecast. Since I moved to a Pixl, it crashes every single time I try to stream to my Chromecast through the app. Used to be pretty cool.
Laptop server, Android and ios phones, TV with Chromecast and it works great!
Is this app not getting any more updates?
Airvideo was the last thing I missed from iOS and now I have this. It works over wifi and 3G and can even be cast to chromecast. Highly recommended. You should try the free version first since it is fully functional apart from a small ad asking you to upgrade just to check it works for you.
The best thing about this app is that it will automatically change the bit rate depending on your bandwidth. This keeps the video from skipping or pausing to read ahead. The app works perfectly and it has never force closed on me. Very reliable. It's nice to have a media app that just works.
Works as it has for awhile now however an update at some point introduced heavy stutter during panning/heavy action scenes in the video (used to run perfectly ).
I love this app and the companion server that it comes with. The compatibility with Chromecast is my favorite feature.
Used this for years now and it's never let me down.
Gives me an option to stream to a device using a dlna client (Allcast), but when I use it, I get "Can't stream video from server. Try again later". Turn dlna off, videos work fine. what gives??
Needs offline viewing option
I been using this app to stream video files from my computer since I switched over from iphone 2 years ago (used Air video on iphone), and I think this is most equivalent to Air video app on iphone and its working perfectly without any problems.
The video player is fine so long as you don't need to scrub or use the rewind/fast forward buttons. Then it turns downright awful. The backup button is just as likely to send the video forward 15 minutes as it is to back it up 30 seconds. If using Google Chromecast, backing up or moving forward is likely to disconnect you from both the Chromecast and your video server. Overall not a good experience when using Chromecast. The player needs major improvement.
I've been away from this app for a few months and what a dumb mistake. They added chromecast support under my nose and it works like a dream and the streaming quality is very nice. Much better than plex.
Super awesome app lets me watch my videos wherever I go.
But is there any way I can view all my files in a folder instead of seeing 100 at a time?
Best app ever.
Plays everything, some UI improvements will be for the best
but does only display first picture on chromecast ...then stops. .....plz fix
This app is the best I've tried for media streaming. Qloud streams virtually any audio or video format I've tried from my home PC easily without much issues. The only problem at the moment for me arose after the recent update, in which Flac audio playback now stutters and is unusable. I hope this issue is addressed in the next patch.
I've been trying few other streaming apps, and none of them could keep up as this one, its the easiest one and the development its steady, improving in every update; I ended up buying it after using the free one almost in a daily basis. 2016 update: I switched to Linux and can confirm it works with Wine.
