I wanted to use QmailClient as my main email platform, specially because I can store emails on my QNAP NAS and have access to them on my mobile (for emails no longer stored on the mail server). However: 1. Sometimes QmailClient will stop receiving emails for no reason; 2. Emails backed-up on NAS, have no contents, shows error; 3. Technical support will just drive you in circles without any solutions. This app is not ready to be launched. QNAP should not use customers as debugging testers.
Good start to a great email client. Just installed it and i can see it being my goto email client. First observation is that it's not very easy to delete emails, it'd be nice if we could do it while we have the email open.
OK, not bad, I do use it a lot but it would get 4 stars in when composing it recognised links and formatted the text, so if I put in a Web site address it automatically makes it a link
Constantly looses connection to nas. Use as backup for email on nas but not stable enough for everyday mobile user. Effectively useless on android
Simple easy to use app. Very reliable and has made the management of my many email accounts seamless and useful.
When I open this app the emails are correctly displayed on the screen but when I open an email the email is to big for the screen.
i think qnap never try/use this app. the sign in just like forever
UPDATE: getting "Error: disallowed_useragent". Now unusable. ORIGINAL: Shows promise. Hopefully they keep improving. It's a decent effort but far behind the best email apps. Qnap should look to AquaMail for inspiration! K9, Newton, Astro and even Outlook all have better swipe functionality and features. I love that I have a good deal of control with my NAS as the backdrop and Qsirch is one of the best features ever created! This can't replace my primary app, AquaMail, but I am looking forward to watching Qmail evolve.
Good start, two areas that need refinement... No alerting when emails arrive and should be able to delete email while browsing it.
A good start. Could do with the ability to view the Backup emails on the NAS though
excellent - typical of QNAP
This will become a top used qnap application soon. It is definitely in early stages. The apps QNAP puts out is the reason I purchase QNAP
The mail client works however lacks many of the features found in other mail clients such as TypeApp, k-9, kaiten mail, Gmail, Yahoo mail and Hotmail.
2020 update: DON'T USE IT ! It claims backup all emails safely. But it crashed often, & lost/deleted all emails, 3 times in a few months ! After report, QNAP would log into your NAS to check your data and settings. Privacy issue ! 2019 comment: Not bad. The idea is great. Implementation is bad. eg, too many errors, fail to login, settings disappear, sometimes work, sometimes not, & many many other issues. It would definitely get 5 stars if there is no problem, or at least not that many problems.
