Its a solid IDE. The shell itself is alright. I'd like to have the option to change the font, much like how you can change the font in the editor (Gotta get that monospace). The editor is alright too. The find and replace function is lacking though. Its definitely not perfect, but its Python on Android. What do you expect? It allows me to waste time, and I appreciate that.

This app is great for doing python on your phone. The reason that it is 4 stars is that you can't just have auto highlight off all the time. You have to have at least 100 lines at minimum to turn it off. If you could just have it off by default, that would make this on of the best python apps for android.

Very great app, only notes, please add more customization. And i mean like make the whole app customizable. It would make this even better than it already is. Like add custom main screens, make that bottom bar custom, maybe even add python plugins for the customization. The only reason i gave 4 stars was to hopefully have the devs see my review, which i would then change to 5. You dont stumble across an app this great very often. Im glad i found it.

I'm glad to have an operational Python with Android-specific modules, but the peripheral design is quite bad. Switching between console and editor is very clumsy. The console lacks history & copy/paste, severely limiting its value. Creating a new file is a very well-hidden feature! Save-as and rename appear to be entirely absent. EDIT: Increased my rating after considering the competition. Termux/Python has no Android support. UserLAnd/anything is awkward & not Android-focused.

Not super comfortable and had some issues. Uses a non-standard 4 spaces on tab and doesn't allow changing this default. While you can run scripts from other folders it doesn't default the path to that folder but instead keeps the default which messes up import statements. No auto save. No tkinter for gui. Overall, solidly does the job but worse than a competitor which has ads. If you're only planning to write and run them through this program it should serve you well.

Great app but has some flaws: 1. Installing libraries is often not possible. So you're sometimes restricted to the standard library. 2. Highlighting: print("".join(things)) Now everything from the quotes onwards will be highlighted. (only happens at places with "" or '' without anything in-between) 3. Copy&Paste dublicates the end of the string?

looks like this had the potential of being the best python IDE around but looks like it hasn't been updated for over a year. too many current bugs that others have already described. was really looking forward 2 something with real GUI support which this does not have. UPDATE: Changed from 3 stars to 4 with newest update.

1) There should be some keyboard option to put a TAB indentation properly. 2) Auto-code formatter is not there. 3) There should be some button to produce keyboard interrupt when output console gets stuck in infinite loop. On Android's Google keyboard we don't have Ctr+C or Pause-Break key like on computer's keyboard. I hope development team will solve these little issues soon in next update! By the way! Thanks for giving us such a nice app which keeps Python3 running in our pockets too.

Excellent app for students who doesn't have computer or laptop in their home. In lockdown, i have a problem with my pc so i thought so much for its alternate then i found this app in playstore. I'm quiet happy with it while doing some practical in it. It was such an amazing experience to us python in smartphone.

Qpython is as good as it gets for a python ide on Android. The UI is versatile and intuitive. The installed libraries all function correctly, and there are plenty of other libraries that will install. The problems other reviewers are encountering come from the limits in Android, not Qpython. Some libraries simply aren't supported by, or optimized for mobile devices. Qpython does everything as advertised, to the best of its abilities. If you need to code on the go, this is the app you want

discovered 2 limitations within 60 seconds. 1) no paste, 2) no up/down arrows to cycle back and forth through previous commands. Both are important on desktop, but much more so on a mobile device where typing is slower.

Better the the rest! I predominantly use it for web scraping and it works wonders there. While it's close competitor's app crashes within a few minutes, Qpython goes on for days! Can use multiple terminals to run simultaneous scripts. Even the editor is comfortable to use and edit scripts. A shoutout to the developers for this 👏

Thanks for python3.6. But It's the same reason I quit using qpython with python3.6 extensions now it's here too. If I press left arrow key in the interpreter from my android keyboard it's print ^[[C instead of moving cursor to left for correction. Same happens for up arrow key. Instead of showing previous comment it print ^[[A. Arrow keys are really useful for me in the interpreter. I am using SwiftKey in oppo A57 but same happening in my Redmi Note 5 and keyboard who have a arrow key.

Despite being kind-of fussy with a phone keyboard's auto correction BS (easy solution would be to install a keyboard that doesn't do any of that stuff), it works great! This does not work at all with a chromebook, however.

Okay if your script fits on one screen. Scrolling and highlighting are confusingly linked, making it nearly impossible to edit a script which is a few pages long. Would give at least 4 stars if this were fixed.

I was able to create a new file and type away easily. As soon as I saved the file, the functions and " " of python was coloured. It took me a while to realize how to run the file. The syntax error statement was not obvious.

Wonderful app when I was typing a input the out put was perfect...... Buut when I put the app in recent for sometime after closing this tab. When I opened it again I have faced the issue that the app doesn't open it seems a bug🤕..so please fix the bug in next update.... wait for that .........😐

Great app, works fantastic. Python runs wihtout problems. However, a lot of functionality is lost due to stricter policies around programmatically sending text messages etc limiting this apps use somewhat. Other than that, great stuff.

this was amazing but now its saying "only android L + devices are supported" and now all the time and effort i have put into my projects is useless, thanks a lot for wasting multiple hours of my life. EDIT: sorry i was harsh i was just disappointed it stopped working, this is a really good app though. if you mean what phone was i using its s3

qpython is very nice app. it really helps me when i learn python. i have found a bug when i try to type codes on landscape mode the editor changes. especially the fonts changing but not in portrait mode.

Geo. A. Jan 19, 2019

I love it, the console is nice, and the sample programs are awesome. I would, however love for there to be some kind of instruction with the app(like the documentation that comes with the desktop python).

vak. v. Apr 17, 2019

The app is really great, but I am really missing feature which would allow to make projects/scripts start in background after device powers up. If this feature would be implemented I will give 5 stars.

Chr. P. May 23, 2021

It's good. But it doesn't run a python script which works on a PC. The script is small, about 5kb. Calls external url. For some reason Q python gives out an error everytime. The script works perfectly with python 3.9 on pc.

HET. P. Aug 6, 2020

Too much buggy this app is. Whenever user will try to type on keyboard, user has to click on the console at every character. Seem like, app needs to be more powerful. Other than that it works really great. Compile every program within a sec.

Jas. E. Feb 5, 2020

Could not run. App didn't recognise its own files... aggravating. Samsung galaxy j. Re: Developer response: "Which version of QPython 3L have you installed please ?" Most current available found in Google Play. "Can you give us more detail on "App didn't recognise its own files" ?" The app could not save, run or open files from its own interface. .

"Create shortcut" to run a program / script directly from your home screen is broken. Pops up a toast claiming "shortcut was created" but actually does nothing. I'm on Pie 9.0 + Nova 5.5.4. More importantly, "create shortcut" works perfectly in QPython2, but not here in QPython3. I was specifically looking for a way to quickly run small scripts, so not having this work kind of defeats the point of the app.

Shi. Sep 27, 2019

I know the app is good for practicing python in an Android. but there's a problem i'm facing. I write a lot of line in console & when i want to clear the console. I can't. I have searched for the solution over the internet and and i found some solution but that's didn't work. You should give us the solution please or i want to give you 5 *.

Ed. R. Mar 28, 2020

Instead of showing a return key, the soft keyboard only has a search key, so i am unable to even to type a simple command in the console. I'm sure it's brilliant if I could get beyond this input issue.

It is good to have python in mobile. Thank you! But there's an inconvenience that we can't bring the cursor back which makes it a bit difficult than what we do in computer.
