QR & Barcode reader (Secure)

Works well, not quite as fast as some others, but unlike the others, this app just does it's job and does it well! No sneaky built-in browsers or double linking or pop-up windows. Just pure qr and barcode scanning, with opening options and history :-D

Works OK but it gets "stuck" on old scans. Like, I'll start it up and scan a QR code, and it shows me the results of something I scanned two days ago.

Has been great over the years . When other scanners fail, I'm reminded it was good money for this app.

The majority of QR readers wanted to read my contacts, call logs, or browser history. I'm sure they sell this info to telemarketers and advertisers. Not cool! I found a few without those crazy permissions, but they didn't work. Either told me I had no camera or wouldn't open the browser. I wish Google wouldn't allow that junk in their marketplace. This one works. Takes more effort to get it to read the code, but at this point I'm not going to complain about it.

Bit slow, fails to focus quickly. Works first time scanning a qr code, then when you scan another clearly different code, it shows the same info. Good that it only asks for permissions it actually needs though. Lots to improve.

Other QR Scanners read your phone logs and other personal information. This one just needs access to only the things it should have access to.

It scans barcodes but not QR codes and also when I scan a barcode it doesn't come with the one I expected it to be

Just wanted a simple qr code scanner. No need to incoveniently share contacts or bookmarks via qr code which make other qr apps ask for so many permissions. There are other apps who does that better. This one works perfectly so far with my phone. Be it a pc screen or a brochure.

This app requires the least access to my info and it's working as it should. Can't ask for anything else.

Only 3 stars cuz this free app does want access to some but not all of your private life!

Simple, does what it has to do. The fact that it requires no strange permissions makes it stand out from the competition.

Went through about 10 other qr scanner apps that wanted my internet history, contacts, Po ne even wanted gps. None of that is necessary, theyre just selling your info.

I've used this for several months, and I'm very happy with it. It has the fewest permissions out there of any app of its kind. Thank you , Red Dodo.

works well but is not integrated with google authenticator i will use this most of the time but wish i could also use it with G.Auth

All other barcode scanners want access to browser history, calendar, contacts and probably my dirty undies.

Works perfect every time. Installed and started using it immediately, really like the fact that it doesn't ask for so much info and access to my device..

Ultra fast, has options including a flashlight to brighten the UPC barcode to read it!

Doesn't need unnecessary permissions. Easy to use.
