Excellent. I had a coupon code, just text, and my phone was trying to use some Verizon app that wasn't working. This is a simple app, no ads, lets you share or copy it to clipboard. I like the open source, I trust it's an honest app that doesn't do anything else. Thank you!
Just works and no ads. Point it at a QR or bar code and it will pop up a box with the decoded text. If it's a URL, you can click on it (you get to decide). Or you can copy or share it. Can turn on the camera flash LED and includes a history. Highly recommended.
So happy to find a qr scanner with no ads! Could you please add a feature where you can automatically connect to wifi using qr codes instead of only copy and paste? If that's planned in the future, then it'll be a flawless app!
Fantastic. Works really well. Exactly the simplicity and privacy I wanted. Just translates the code so you can copy to browser or share elsewhere. Open source, no ads, only camera permission (not network). Like software used to be - just for the utility of it.
I really like how it shows you the link of the QR code first so you can decide to visit the website or not. Other apps, like Kaspersky's, just immediately go to the website which could be risky if you scanned a suspicious QR code. The history feature is also really nice. I highly recommend this app. One of the best QR code scanners out there!
Love that's it's so simple and ad-free, but it still lacks some major features: 1) Scanning contact cards QR codes, and not only websites. 2) Ability to turn on flashlight while scanning. 3) An option to delete history of scanned codes.
Exactly as it says it is. A nice touch making it FOSS too! It would be nice to see the ability to load qr codes from internal storage, but I think it's better without it to keep it simple.
At last what I was looking for! Just a QR code scanner. Simple, light, no ads, reads codes instantly, love the copy link and switching to the browser procedure. Thank you developer! 🙌
Excellent app. No adds or other nonsense etc. Works flawlessly. To clear the history of this app, go to settings > Apps >select QR Code>storage >clear data. Thank you so much Mauricio for making our life easier
Gets the job done. I just wanted a simple program since my phone doesn't include one and the hundreds of recommended apps that do the same are advertisement farmers; here I just open the app, point to the QR, and the code does its work, as it should be, no bs, straight done.
No funny business. This is the first qr reader app I found that: has no ads, has no in-app purchases, only requires camera permission, is open-source. Why do the others require "full network access" and "prevent phone from sleeping"? I don't want to find out.
It's completely free! Scanner is scanner. There is no any technical differences among QR scanners in Google Play. Why would you install something with ads If you can install the ad-free one?
simply and works fine. at first attempt to read QR Code, it took a while to recognize the code. I thought it wont work, so i touched the blinkin redline, somehow it works. no idea whether it responded to my touch or just in time it recognize the QR Code. then it worked flawlessly with other 2 different QR Codes within split seconds. i use samsung S7 Edge. thank you Mr Developer
Simple. No ads. Light. Only needs camera permission. Free. It works. Can scan QR codes quickly. Can show history. Can shows links and share them. Thank you very much developer.
Does what it says it will without asking for 100 privacy eroding permissions. Also displays full URL giving the user more security about what they have scanned.
Finally a decent app to read qr codes. And under 2mb with that 😁 Wishlist : a feature to connect to a scanned wifi network, and a button to search the web when the qr code is just text/a product number
Nice! Open source, no ads. Does simply exactly what it's described to do. If you want more features, I suggest you try Ad-free QR & Barcode Scanner by dimai, also ad-free, open-source.
I was about to create an ad-free QR scanner then found this. How this is not a first hit when searching is beyond comprehension, other than that google prefers ad-infested apps in their store.
It just works... Stock Mi QR scanner and Ttend micro QR scanner failed to recognize code with link to installation instructions of CPU heat sink from Swiss company, probably because of low contrast... And this app had no such problems. Well done.
Does what I want, doesn't have any ads or other garbage. Would be nice to have a "clear history" feature, but this can be achieved by clearing the app's storage, so I'm still giving it 5 stars.
Does what it says... functions flawlessly for me... though I guess I haven't immersed myself in the qr movement so perhaps I've not enough experience to make a call for someone whom Is. As far as I'm concerned, the app is perfect! Thanks, Devs!
maybe I am not understanding how to use this, but nothing at all happens when I center the code inside the box, nor if I scan the red line across the code. Nada, zilch, zero happens. Wrote to developer, happy to come back and edit this review if i hear back. LG V20, android 8.0.0. I don't see any instructions here or in he app.
Just works. No ads. Empathised with the comment on the "info" (about). Kudos! Indeed, it's a simple app. No reason to put ads.
Free as in freedom as in beer app. What do you expect for such a great, simple and straightforward one? No ads and does the job as expected. A must have app for every phone.
My phone stock QR code scanner can't read inverted QR code and so I needed to look for a new one. I'm so glad that I find this ad free, no unnecessary permissions required QR/barcode scanner. Truly the best!
No nonsense scanner. Just wish it could scan QR codes from pictures in storage, but that's not really needed.
Worked perfectly on my first scan, and love the flash & history features! Best of all, no ads! I'll delete my other shonky ad-ridden app now haha :) Cheers!
App does exactly what it claims to do. No adds, good reads. Also opens links in your default Web browser instead of a built-in one. Minor improvement would be to have a 'open link' button in the popup. Right now it's confusing as you need to click the url, while all other actions (share, copy,...) are in a button at the bottom.
