QR-WiFi Plugin™

The message that you get when trying to open up this program is that is an older version and you need to update. However when you go to updated there is no option to update it. So from the get-go you basically get a program that doesn't work properly

Adds WiFi QR support to QR Droid Private! I'm disappointed to see how many low reviews are being posted - to be clear, you install this to add Wifi QR login support to QR Droid - it IS NOT meant as a stand alone tool. QR Droid reads the barcode and passes that info to this automagically. They're a team. Second: people are saying that QR-Droid "reveals their password".... If you post your wifi info, even in QR form, YOU are the one revealing your password. QR-Droid is just honest about it.

First time using have used yet

Using Galaxy Ace Plus - when creating the network I specify WPA/WPA2 and use correct password. Wifi refuses to connect I go into the Wifi settings and manual setup, nothing is changed yet when I click ok wifi then connects. Apears that QR Droid is reading it as just WPA rather then WPA/WPA2 and going to manual settings just reconfirms it's the latter. Really strange. As such can only give this 3/5 at present.

It is a good app as a plugin as it does what it's supposed to do but one thing that concerns me is the fact that it shows the password which is an issue. You are showing this QR code as an alternative to telling them your password but if they can find your password out anyway, what is the point then? I don't want to criticise but I see this as something that would greatly improve the app.

Tested on three different devices with an entire page of different printed codes and this app is simply unreliable and does not function. For a minute I thought I could help bars and restaurants get customers connected but it crashes every time. Not reliable.

You guys messed up. It doesn't give me the option to scan a qr WiFi code now, I can only either manually enter WiFi info or back out to exit the app. And what happened to my scan history? Now I can't recall the codes I've previously entered. Guys, please fix this. I actually use this for work, it WAS very helpful.

Would be great if password is not shown after you scan the code. Also, automatic connection to the wireless network would be nice.

I am pretty disappointed. Yesterday installed the wifi plug-in, but now all my saved wifi networks are gone. I didn't install any other apps :(

Did not work. You need to know the name of the ssid, what part of that is automatic wifi connect. Or do you need to scan something first.

Sometimes the QR image doesn't translate to a live webpage on the internet. It'll just show URL downloaded and that's it. But overall when the QR image is working, it works fine.

Well since I have some maturity of the other QR droid apps, I figured it would be worth having the WiFi GPS one as well, for now 4 stars be back for an update ;-)

Works fine on nexus 7 and HTC one, just a shame that when scanned your WiFi password is visible

Can't specify the exact encryption so it wont connect at all

I love the app, but I like for the password to the WIFI to not be posted on the screen.

Works perfectly! It also has useful plugins.

Why isn't this in the main app? It's just 89 kilobytes. Also the icon is different after you install it.

Works like a dream, but why not included in the main app itself?

It just redirects me to the QR Droid app page when I scan a WiFi QR code. I already have the QR Droid app installed, and this plugin.

As soon as you try to use this, it informs you that it cannot connect to a network, which kinda defeats the purpose of the app. Also, before you download, bear in mind that you will be asked to pay a subscription charge, meaning it isn't free.
