QRAD Rideshare Assistant for Drivers (auto switch)
IMPORTANT: AS OF MAY 21, 2019, AN EXTRA CLICK IS NEEDED TO TURN LYFT OFF/ON AFTER IT IS BROUGHT UP AUTOMATICALLY BY QRAD. THE LYFT DRIVER APP HAS BLOCKED ACCESSIBILITY INFO TO APPS SUCH AS QRAD THAT ALLOW IT TO TURN LYFT OFF/ON.
Ride Alerts: This feature is used to show an extra 'warning' type alert on top of a ride offer (ping) - based on user-set criteria such as ride type (Pool, Eats, etc.), or pickup time/distance. Requires sign-up for trial.
App Switching: When a trip is started on one, it turns off the other automatically, and turns it back online at the end of the trip. Or it can simply just notify the driver of the situation and not perform any action. It helps to improve the 'Acceptance Rating', and 'Availability on multiple services' without any significant impact on battery life. Requires active trial or paid subscription.
How It Works
When a ride is accepted on one rideshare, the driver can choose to:
a) get a reminder if he or she has forgotten to turn off on the other app, OR
b) automatically bring up the other app and auto turn it off.
Note: In rare situations, the user may have to manually switch the other app offline.
When a ride ends, the app can:
a) remind the driver if he or she is still offline on other, OR
b) automatically bring up other app and switch it online.
Benefits
The app helps drivers keep their Acceptance Rate high by avoiding having to decline ride offers from other service if already on a ride.
It also helps to make sure drivers don't miss out on potential new rides by accidentally forgetting to switch back online the other app at the end of a trip.
It helps Rideshare companies such as Uber and Lyft because they don't assign rides to drivers who are unavailable because they are already on a ride.
It helps passengers by reducing the average time to find an available driver since they won't be assigned to an unavailable one.
In short, everyone benefits - drivers, passengers, rideshare companies! It is a perfect companion to the driver apps.
After download/installation, user should sign-up with a valid email address to enable the app for a free trial period of 14 days. No payment information is needed for the trial period sign-up - so there will be no automatic billing at the end of this period. User has the option to purchase a monthly or yearly subscription to the tool at the end of the trial period - via in-app purchases.
App Permissions
Accessibility Permission: In order to monitor and control the states of the rideshare apps, this app (like all apps that attempt to perform similar functions), requires the user to enable the Accessibility permission for the app. When first started, the app will ask the user to turn on the this permission. The permission is not used for any other purpose; it is not used to collect or log any personal data.
In-app Billing Permission: This permission is required only for the purpose of purchasing a subscription at the end of the trial period - if the users decides to make such a purchase.
Additional Information
The app runs in the background - the user does not need to keep it open while driving. It will also automatically restart if the device is rebooted. The app needs to be opened only to change settings or subscriptions.
In-App Subscriptions
After the free trial period, continued use requires a paid subscription which can be purchased from within the app.
Subscriptions can be cancelled from the Google Play Store app. Cancelled subscriptions remain active till the end of the subscription period - but will not auto-renew at the end of the period.

once I got the trial set up, app was very easy to configure and use. Switches uber and lyft at start and end of ride, but like the other apps in the play store, lyft has to be manually turned off/on. But it brings up lyft automatically so just one click is all that is needed. uber is turned off/on automatically. Also has a ride alerts feature. much easier and cheaper than mistro does what I want it to do. I do wish they find a way to auto turn off Lyft in future
I like this app very much, as it has stepped up my game in quickly switching over to uber or lyft. On the the hand you have to manually shut off the other app so not to get 2 request at the same time. I lowered the time in the settings so maybe this will take a minute to update. Highly recommend its fast and easy to use. To developer are there additional features once upgrade after trial period? Thanks :)
Pretty Solid App. Automates the switching on and off of apps If driving for both Uber and Lyft. It simply makes it an automated process to not think about. Free month trial and I will subscribe. Working on S8. it is very rare I will get hit with a ride on both platforms before it closes the one not being used..Simple and functional.
Not as many features as Mystro, but IMHO, the more features.. the more potential glitches. The main purpose of this type of app for me personally, is to switch from Uber to Lyft seamlessly. QRAD does this for me. I've been using QRAD for a couple of months & am very happy. Simple operation, easy setup and it works. I've had the occasional time where the switch didn't happen, thus the 4 stars, but that could have been my phone, or the Uber or Lyft app that may have caused it. Highly recommendd.
Works better than the other apps I tried. This app is NOT full of useless features that rarely work. It does not require me to download app from outside play store, and does not require a boatload of extra permissions that look very suspicious to me. I would rather do the extra click required to turn Lyft on/off than do those things.
i just recently found out about apps that preform these functions. i downloaded a few and they gave lots of problems, i finally tried QRAD and i must tell you it is the best app. only thing needed is a trip timer, for drivers to track total time driven. nyc has specific rules it would be great if you tracked pick up to drop off times. either way its a great app.
Not bad. Has gotten a glitch that it didn't have when I started. When I complete a ride and it turns the other back on , it then goes to my recent apps history and I have to choose Uber or Lyft. (I have seen it do it a couple of times when I start a trip too and it just shut down the other one I'm not using... Please fix.
After having tried many of these apps, this one seemed the least flaky. Have to manually hit the button on Lyft but at least it brings it up for me to do so and takes it back (looks like Lyft messed up these apps). Overall experience - not perfect but better than others I tried..
App does not work all the time. Several times need to close Uber or Lyft app manually. Was going to buy a subsction anyway, why?, why not. Was very hesitant. But $7 and can always quit. But then it was too hard to purchase, so i decided to simply do it myself. very upset that it stopped me from purchasing AFTER I put in my cc info. App works well when it works. Simple and to the point. Fix the glitch and make it so people can buy it. Then you may have something successful. Should be 2.5 not 3
This app works as designed. It swaps my rideshare apps on and off quickly. It is very simple and does not have a lot of unnecessary options. I made a suggestion to the developers and they responded quickly and were very open minded. Great app!!
easy app to use...but when I'm not driving...somehow it takes over my auto screen dim on my phone and kills my battery pretty quick. I had to go into app and force stop to get my phone to work correctly again. It also does not pause Uber when accepting a Lyft ride. I wish it was fully automatic in pausing both ride share companies.
At first the app was working as intended. Recently it started instead of switching Uber offline just dropping it and going to Home screen. Which is very annoying and requires to do a lot of additional taps to call Uber app back and get it off manually.
After adding Lyft to my Uber driving about 11 months ago, I have tried most of the apps for automated switching. Cams across this one almost by accident, but it is the best I tried so far for that purpose. No useless features or featutes too buggy to be of any good anyway. No questionable claims about how much money it will save me. It is limited to Uber and Lyft however and that could present an issue if I chose to add another rideshare, but for now, I am happy with this app.
I like it's simplicity. Turns uber off on automatically. Lyft requires additional click to turn on/off - this is not ideal, but I read Lyft has blocked all of these apps from controlling Lyft. Still, very helpful, seems to be regularly updated.
used Maxymo first and it was horrible. 20+ critical errors of crashes and poor customer service (within 30 days) Now * QRAD Rideshare Assistant - this app may not have all the features. keep this app simple so to keep the glitches low. Price is inexpensive annual fee of about $50/annual ($4.16/mth.) Means you can focus on uber and lyft without breaking the bank account.
downloaded least night. turned on accessibility, then directions said to open uber once and Lyft once to update. Well, I did it for uber and it works seemingly for it, but it still says to turn on Lyft once to update. I have turned on Lyft 5 times and it has not been recognized. I tried restarting phone and a few other things, but keep getting same message. No real point to app if it does not work for both rideshares.
Very simple and straightforward to use. Works as advertised, unlike other apps I have tried for the same purpose. I wish it was free or a one time purchase, but i decided 20 cents per day was worth it for me.
easy to use especially for a neanderthal like me. very simple to use. I like how it turns off the other app as soon as you accept a ride opposed to when you start the ride. much better than mystro.it does not have auto accept not really a bad thing. no issues yet!
excellent response time and care in follow up with issues. had an issue when switching phones. this team worked through the issue with me, even though the problem was on my end. reported a glitch concerning cancelled rides, a software update followed within two days resolving it.
I recently had a great experience with the creator of this. I was having an issue where Lyft wasn't being recognized. He called me within a hour to assist in fixing the issue. Very helpful!
app works but stops screen from turning off and therefore uses lots of battery life when not being used. app always on so continues to use battery. have letters "ul" flashing on left edge of screen, which is probably why screen will not go blank.
If you know how to use this app and how to swich to Lyft this app is the best Switch app in the market thsy will increase your income significantly. Just you should make sure about interrnet connectivity of Uber and Lyft (specially Lyft) while switching. I used othe similar app but this one is user friendly, easy and reliable. The creator and support team of this app developing their software and solving possible bugs periodically. Thanks
Good experience, but wish it had an auto accept function. I don't want to be manipulating apps when driving.
I tried we Qrad this weekend but when i went online with Uber the Qrad app still showed Uber being offline. I went to the help section and clicked on the "email customer support" and tried to write a message but the app wouldn't let me send the message. Let me know if this can be fixed and I'll give s better rating.
This app DOES NOT work with the LYFT app !!!...It worked fine for one day...& after the first day...it just does not work with any more..the worst part is that I paid the subscription for a WHOLE YEAR !!!...please take care of business...or get out of BUSINESS !!!
Uber and Lyft have found ways to get in the way of this app's function. Now, when Uber goes offline the Uber app asks a question about whether you are sure you want to be offline. This seems to confuse QRad and it does not switch back to Lyft. Similarly, when QRad signals for Lyft to go offline or come back online the user of the app must tap the screen to toggle Lyft on or off themselves. So the usefulness of the app has become compromised. The author of the app should fix these problems.
it would be great if the developers could figure out how to switch Lyft off. the price is a little too steep for me but all in all it worked great when I used it.
Very useful when driving for both Uber, Lyft and Ubereats - automatically turns them off and on. Doesn't hog my battery
I am outraged that a simple app that helps switch between apps iss raising their monthly cost from $6.99 a month to $99.99 a month. Google play should remove this app from the playstore for such ridiculous price gouging.
A better alternative than Mystro! I've used Mystro for about a year, and for the most part, it works. However, it uses quite a bit of device resources, drains battery, uses nearly half a gigabyte of ram. QRAD undercuts the competition on price, (being 6.99 vs 10.00), it uses a very small amount of resourses, and it quick. As an improvement, I would like to see trip filtering for rider ratings, time and distance to rider, and automatic acceptance of riders. Being said, I'm subscrbing to this!
