it does work to remind you to apply sunscreen however if you have the device and sit down for a period of time in the shade it will turn off, very irritating. I would like a calculator that doesnt shut off until you tell it to. Also would be nice to be able to work offline if you are out of cell range say hiking etc.
Inaccurate, expensive. Keeps pestering you to buy a $150 UV tracker, and pay $4/month for other functions. The OmniCalculator sun calculating widget is free and a lot more accurate. Omni said I should be in the sun 1 hr 40 min (UV index: 2, skin type: III, altitude: 900m), QSun said 2 hr 52 minute (said the UV index was 1, couldn't change it). Would've gotten sun damage from QSun.
A lot better than some other vitamin D apps. Some features are only on the paid version, such as full face analyser. This also seems to be primarily designed to flog their QSun device.
Another app that wants to charge for the upgrade on a monthly basis. I've no issue with paying but only on a one off basis.
Very very useful app, I Recently found it and loved all the features! Mole analyzing,Vit D tracker, face Analyzing...helps me to stay healthy around sun. Also very easy to use!!
the app gave an inaccurate uv index for Sydney, Australia. the real number was 13 while the app showed 6. In this case, people might risk their health. but the ui is nice.
immediately wanted full media access and Google account/Facebook access. No. It's a UV tracker, I don't need an account just to pull up weather.
Unusable on Android. App takes forever to load, then no thing works. Touch all over, no response. Can't get the menu to do anything.
App has crashed several times after downloading. Not looking good but I'll give it a day or two before I remove it
Been using for at least 3 years now. I use the app every single day. I love everything about this app including Face Analyzer. It's my favorite.
It does what it claims. Easy to use and clean UX design. The vitamin D management is very helpful.
App is super slow to do things, and there is no way to exit the app, fundamentals not there, the features might be
This app ia veey handy to remind me when to reapply sunscreen and also if I need to apply any depending on the UV level at the time. I love it
Judging skin type with photo prone to failure. In my case "detected facial hair". An example of unnecessary technology. How about a picture of the various skin colors and you choose one?
Doesn't work, just keeps trying to get me to buy a tracker, but won't pair to the one I have!
Requires access to all my files on the device and an account to store all my data? No thanks.
It would be great if there was a widget option for smartphones
App is great but no widget option. Un-installing.
good so far. considering the hardware device too.
Easy to use and giving me exactly what I want to know: rates of uv index during the day, for each hour, and how long I'm able to stay in the sun without getting burnt
The idea behind this product is great. The execution of it? Terrible. A waste of your time and money. The first problem is that you need to buy a device which is ~$99 CAD. Secondly, you need to buy a pro account for $25 annually. The device shipped late with little communication from the team. Upon receiving the device, I hadn't received my free pro code (which is only for one year, not a lifetime). When I opened the package, the device felt terrible in my hand. Rather than hard, smooth plastic device I had been expecting, it was a very gross velvet texture. I emailed the team for my pro code, which I eventually got. Opening the battery cover to remove the plastic sticker was a nightmare. I could hardly get the back cover to screw off because the clip part kept pushing it down. I tried to follow the instructions in the manual to connect the device, but it seems to me that the instructions are out of date and are actually for an older version of the app. The UX of the app is downright AWFUL. They constantly ask you to "Rate 5 Stars" (sorry, no. You're annoying.) and the "back button" for Samsung doesn't work, it backs you out of the app rather than previous screen. Don't buy it.
