Qualcomm QuadRooter Scanner

This scanner will help you identify whether you're affected by Qualcomm QuadRooter and Tether Controller Vulnerabilities.

- Quad Rooter is four vulnerabilities (CVE-2016-2059, CVE-2016-2503, CVE-2016-2504, CVE-2016-5340, CVE-2016-2060) which were reported by Check Point Mobile Threat team. If exploited, QuadRooter vulnerabilities can give attackers complete control of devices and unrestricted access to sensitive personal and enterprise data on them.

- Qualcomm Tether Controller Vulnerability (CVE-2016-2060), on a phone using unpatched Qualcomm CPUs , 3rd party apps could gain cell phone radio manager access in the background without your knowledge
- putting your data and privacy in serious danger. In the worst case scenario, an attacker might view your SMS database and phone history.

My phone is patched and not vulnerable yet this app claims I'm affected by the vuln. This app must be doing a very basic check of hardware rather than actually checking to see whether the phone is patched. Interestingly enough there's a link in the app to download their security product. I will not be downloading the product because this product is giving me a false positive.

I scaned my mob with similar app 2 week ago and that app said my mob is affected by few CVE quadrooter vulnerabilities, but after updating same app (and I didnt receive any security patch in the meantime) suddenly I wasn't affected by any vulnerabilities. Scaning with this app its same result - and by that more accurate. Good work!!!

My Samsung S7 edge originally had the Qualcomm driver bug. When the Google September 1 Security Update was applied and fixed the problem Trustlook told me so. A great program.

Version 1.2 has no such issue. I mean scanning on SM-G360H.

I checked my Samsung Galaxy S4 using a competing app. It reported that my phone had all 4 vulnerabilities. I check my phone with this app and the report comes back with no vulnerabilities detected. I'm not sure what to believe.

Good job! But previous version said my Xperia z1c was not vulnerable, the new version says it is vulnerable!

Please add some cosmetic colors - red for Affected and green for Not Affected - for better vision and easy reading. Thanks

Protect your phone's cpu. Everyone needs it.

My phone is affected by this vulnerability!

This one fails... Sorry. Much better off using the Checkpoint QuadRooter scanner which DOES account for Google/manufacturer patches... Therefore, this app is useless.

Kis. D. Aug 18, 2016

All it seems to do is identify the chipset and claims the device is vulnerable. Checkpoint's own scanner says my device is fine.

A more accurate description for the app would be "potential security vulnerability based on hw specs/advertisement for our antivirus program."

My phone is now patched for these vulnerability but the app still says that I'm infected
