Checked out, requests, balance, etc. should be easily accessible from anywhere in the app but instead you must click through several selections to get to it. The user's wishlist and history of checked items are nowhere to be found which is a big con for me. I'd also like to suggest that it would be great if users could get reminder notifications for when a book is almost due or a request is ready for pickup. I do like that I can scan with my barcode in the app in case I forget my card.
I think the user interface is actually really nice, it's just a question of how to make the app run much faster, I'm on a Xperia 5 II and it's a pretty fast phone, but no matter what the app is just very slow, laggy even. Also I say you have a dark mode option, as the U.I. is very bright white which can hurt people's eyes, and give the option to have go really dark, like black, as a battery saving option for devices with OLED or AMOLED screens.
Love the Queens Library app! By far the fastest way to renew books and check the status of requests (and closing time!). The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is that the app (and the mobile website, too) doesn't show me my wishlist like I can see on the website with my computer. I use that to pick what to read next; it'd be super helpful to be able to see my list from my phone while browsing in the library.
It's really helpful for seeing what books are where and managing your account. But the app always crashes when I try to open an ebook with overdrive.
cant login! App caches user library card info, but doesnt delete it on uninstall! also if card details are changed outside the app, the app wont log you out, even with an uninstall. Have to then manually delete storage and cache
The latest update completely broke the app. Can't log in - clicking any of the other menu items takes you to their proper page, but clicking "log in" or "My Account" does nothing. Please fix!
Uhh...what did you people do to this updated app? I can't get past the login page no matter how many times I try. I'm using a Pixel 2- Android. Please fix asap.
All of a sudden you changed the lay out of the app. Now I'm having trouble navigating my account ... why you did this? The old way was very good ... now I don't know, I guess I'll do without it, thank you very much #*&!
App has numerous bugs. It would be great if they'd fix them.
Terrible. The old website was significant better. I can't view requested books either.
Cant request books anymore on the app. Please change and ill give 5 stars.
Way too slow and laggy. Too many times the app freeze.
This allows me to inquire what books are available at the Queens library. It also allows me to reserve books and pay fines.
Lets me renew without having to go in. Delete it's cache to get it working though.
Was great but after the update I can't get past the email validation screen
Good local library where almost all the necessary books available 👍
It's great for checking on your requests and checked out material
Right now, I just downloaded the app. Unfortunately, I didn't have the app. the first time. Hopefully, everything will be OK.
used to be great. now it's broken. i can't log in.
Very good app especially during a pandemic
I am not sure what happend I cant request or renew via app anymore
Keeps freezing. Not stable
not working and their tech people don't think there is a problem
I have more than two weeks that I can't log into my account this app is not working anymore? Please
The app doesn't even allow me to log in to my account anymore.
The app does not work consistently.
I got to say that I am pleased with how the update fixed all the problems I had with the app. It's impressive really, the interfaces and menu are so much better than before. Neater, very modern looking, although there is a small issue keeping it from being a 5 star experiment. For some reason the home inferface is very laggy, very choppy, and I'm thinking it had something to do with your servers, although it's not the way on the other interfaces, so I would suggest getting that fixed in someway.
