Love it. I'm a daily freeway driver and NEVER go a day without this app. I practically live on it 24/7. Options to pick specific traffic info you want to see is great. Very informative and accurate. The only thing I suggest is to have a dark mode option. The constant bright white is straining on the eyes at night (even with lowering screen brightness on the phone) I get migraines VERY easily so a dark theme would really help at night.
Hi I really like the idea of the App. I would give it 5 but I give it a 3 because it doesn't seem to be updated as often. Today I5 was closed I checked the app and it was reported as closed however the freeway opened at 2pm. This was also updated on the caltrans website but not the app this caused me waste 3 more hrs thinking it was still closed. The quickmap is supposed to be used as a travel guide hence I'd never use it if it's not up to date.
Easier to use than the website, and more information. Just being able to see which rest areas are closed or open is worth the download time. Getting conditions for where you are when it opens is super convenient for those of us who don't live in metro areas.
This is without a doubt, the best state road condition app I have seen so far. Very user friendly. Cameras, closures, chain restrictions, DOT incidents...all at your finger tips. Very well done! Other states should use this app as a model.
Unreliable app. The app doesn't say that the road is blocked today, 1/2/2022, at Grassy Hollow at the 2 but it is. I have noticed before that the road was blocked at Big Pines which wasn't mentioned on the app. Very frustrating when you come from 60 miles away.
Temporary giving it 1 star, as the last update broke this app, it no longer displays any other information becides 'traffic'... Reset the app, uninstall and reinstalled, unchecked and rechecked the items in 'options'... Nothing, app is broken...
BEST Traffic App ever. Accurate to the minute. Click on a Triangle and you get the actual entries made by CHP Dispatch. WAY better than listening to local radio.
This is a great app. One request - could you add the four links used on the Quick Map website to the app options or help section so we can go directly to this info as needed (especially planned lane closures). Thanks.
Useless. Thought it would give up to the minute road and traffic conditions but it just directs me to other places. Sticking with Google maps.
Just played with this for a minute. Better integrated with cameras and such than previously. Rest stop info, says Waze integration which I can't verify.
This app is awesome! I live in Pittsburgh, PA and get to see the Interstate highways in San Diego, Chula Vista and Imperial Beach. This brings back a lot of great memories for me. I highly recommend this app.
What's up with the cameras? I specifically wanted a traffic app with camera views, but less than 1/2 of them work on the highway I use for my commute. Fix them please, and I'll happily change my review to 5 stars.
It's free. It works as said. It's very informative and no ads. Awesome app for knowing what's out there before you get there. I tell others about it so they can use it
Completely useless, Does not provide any useful information. Said there were no road delay and ended up in traffic so bad it took 9 hours to drive what should take less than 2 hours on a road with no exits or services.
This app is hot garbage. I relied on it to tell me if there were chain requirements on Highway 33 on my way home from Thanksgiving. This official Caltrans app said no. 45 minutes up 33 from Ojai, the official Caltrans signs said change were required. This useless app added 2 hours plus to an already arduous trip. Absolutely do not rely on this thing! It is not properly updated by Caltrans and it lies to you.
Too many cameras frequently offline. Especially on I-80. Some signs and cameras there are positioned too close. Requiring extremely close zooming in.
Very helpful and has frequent real-time updates. I like all the options for what can be shown.
Very good app. Lots of options for a complete overview. They even integrate Google and Waze reports! Nice job.
Quickmap is a must have tool for us Truckers. Has practically everything you need to know. It would be nice to know which way the cameras are pointing though.
Pretty good... Pooling multiple traffic resources in one place. Hoping a future release works with Android Auto and Mirror Link.
For people living in the mountains this app is a must. Shows chain control, snow plows and road closures at a glance.

Only a few of the cameras are working, pretty pointless and needs reparation, were probably being taxed for it and they dont even work XD... Los Angeles fix the freeway cameras.
I use it all the time. Very helpful for checking out route to and from anywhere you are going in California.
Love the app but it needs a massive update. Although it's user friendly, it needs a cleaner fresh look.
Useful but data is inconsistent. 1) If you enable too many icons they end up on top of each other making it very difficult to find the info you want on the map. 2) Two of us have this app installed and viewing at the same time see different data about the state of a road closure. It's really important that this is accurate. 3) It would be great if I could sign up for a notification if a road closure state changed.
