Quiet for Gmail

Fantastic! Can turn my work emails off. No more stupid emails at 11pm that I spend time tossing and turning all night trying to think of something professional to say. No more waking up at 2am to notification sounds for Gmail. Has really made a significant difference to my work/life balance. Easy to use and never have to touch it. The override feature is great for when days off appear or more likely disappear. Highly recommend! Thank you devs!

had it for one night only but so far so good! using this to shut off work email screen notifications weeknights and weekends - helped me save my sanity last night. ui is a little confusing but works as intended. will update after using for some time. update: after using for one month - doesnt work anymore. no idea why. still getting emails when im not supposed to.

Works like it should. I have had two instances where sync for the work account I'm managing is disabled when it shouldn't be. I think others have incurred the same issue. Update: The longer I use it, the more often it fails. Too bad, because it's a straightforward concept. It must be harder to execute than it would appear.

Works exactly as expected. I have a schedule set to disable my work email sync in the evening, and enable again at 7am. You have to make sure your phone doesn't kill the app otherwise notifications will not turn back on as scheduled - that's nothing to do with the app, but worth noting!

Works great with my personal Gmail but not well at all with the work account. Seemed to work OK for a day or so and then I discovered sync was completely turned off regardless of my schedule with Quiet. I turned sync back on and Quiet stopped working. I had to go into Quiet (didn't do anything, just opened the app) for it to work again.

I have had this app installed for 2 years. I wouldn't be able to use the Gmail app without it. This app allows me to simply set a schedule to keep certain email accounts quiet, without going through a bunch of settings. It keeps a healthy separation of work life and private life.

EDIT: I have allowed the app to ''autostart'' and now it seems to work perfectly! Hank you! :) The concept is great but it doesn't really work. I still get work emails way past the set time and that's frustrating. Is there anything we can do to solve this? Thank you!

Used to work, now it doesn't. Now I still get emails in the middle of the night. Also, my phone thinks I barely use the app, so it keeps putting it to sleep so it doesn't work.

App works for a few days, but will stop working after some time and I'll receive notifications from an email address that is supposed to be snoozed. Sometimes it'll be vice versa, in which I won't receive notifications during times that the email is supposed to be active.

I installed this hoping to stop receiving work emails over the weekend and also at ungodly hours in the morning. It switched the emails off fine at the time I set, but the following morning by 8.30 no emails. Strange! Checking the sync settings within gmail, it hadn't been switched back on again. Switching on manually, cue a ****-load of emails coming in. Uninstalled. Waste of time.

Very useful. Works like a charm. My life is so much less stressful in the mornings and evenings when my email is off. It's my phone after all, why should it stress me out checking the notifications. Very well recommended

Fantastic app. Let's me set my business Gmail account syncing on my phone for business hours only. Has totally worked to stop me being 'available 24/7' which was becoming a problem with my family. Occasionally the app malfunctions and doesn't switch off syncing when it should.

DND wasn't enough for me. I needed to stop accidentally seeing emails that came in during my down time. If you're working across multiple timezones, it's really useful. Stopping email sync means you can keep your phone for taking photos and distractions other than work.

A great quality of life app, so simple, yet so amazing! Works well, no issues for me with crashes or bugs. I wish there was an app that did the same thing as this for text and phone calls too.

I have major anxiety, especially when I have big work projects or events. This app has saved my sanity, turning off email notifications on and off, automatically. Never experienced a glitch. So great

This app does exactly what it says flawlessly. the tools to control the active times for your email accounts are simple and easy to use. The layout is clean and very professional. The best part is that there are no ads what so ever. my hat is off to the developers of this app.

Changed my life. This app has really made it easier to manage the work life balance. With so much screen time and working from home (read: living at work) this year, this has made switching off that bit easier. Would recommend 1000 times over. Thank you.

With half our team in China, I get work email at all hours. The neurotic part of my brain makes me check no matter what and this app is amazingly helpful for setting boundaries. It's simple to set up and works flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Does what it is supposed to do. Features I would like: the ability to snooze certain accounts indefinitely, the ability to include holidays as well as weekends. I wish I could use this app to snooze, at certain times, other apps besides Gmail.

Really useful app. Could be improved. Currently getting emails from the account even though it says it's off. Could do with a setting to turn off notifications entirely for a weekend for example.

I had this app with a Galaxy S6 and it was okay but sometimes it didn't run and I had to open the app to get it to work for a few days. With my Pixel 3XL, it works wonderfully. I love that I can shut off my work email when I don't need to see it!!

Would be a fantastic app but it bugs out way too much. Works for a few days and then will randomly stop activating. I'll go into the app and that seems to get it going again, but then itll break a few days later.

I have no idea why this feature is not built in, actually I do to keep you glued in to your phone. But this app does exactly what you want. Turn off sync during down times. Amazing!!

Awesome app, helps me unplug from work evenings and weekends. The only suggestion I'd have is the ability to customize the notifications of when it will turn on and off and how long or short of a notification you get... I.e. 15m or 2 hours or 30m, etc

Very simple app, but very useful. It automates turning Gmail sync off and on on a schedule that you choose. Now I can't be bothered with work email after hours. 👍

Great app 👍 It would be really nice if you can make it possible to disable sync for all Google account related apps too (drive, calendar). It would be useful for people who work less than 5 days a week, like in my case. Cheers!

I receive work emails 24 hours a day, and as much as I'd love to not be signed in on my phone I need to be able to see them during the working day. This has helped so much with being able to switch off and not see anything work related until the work day. Thanks Dev for improving my mental health and work/life balance.
