Quilt Cat - A must-have for every quilter

A missing feature.. I really like this app. It is a great help with all the exisiting features, but I wish there would be one more: to be able to choose the number of blocks to be displayed AND actually to see how they look together and what pattern they produce, also to be able to choose different layout options, like rotate each block to create other variations. And thank you for not bombarding us with ads

Overall I really like the app. It took a minute to figure out how to do some things, but once I did it was a piece of cake. I have the upgrade version and the save quilt button doesn't actually work, so I'm disappointed about that. I would like to have that fixed and would like the ability on the quilt design screen to change the colors on just 1 block instead of all blocks of the same design. Otherwise amazing app!

Just got the app and a bit fustrated there are no usable forms of help or directions. It looks like it would be great if I could get some instructions. I even paid for the subscription. After contact with developer was able to make some headway. They responded quickly and offered links for direction. It was helpful but in the end I don't believe my device is compatible with the app. If I upgrade I would definitely try again.

Great idea but doesnt really work. Every time i try to change the color it says it changed but when i go to the pattern its black. Also theres no option for a simple 5 inch block pattern to see what the colors would look like. Just really fancy patterns. And it glitches out a lot, the patterns dissappear and change on you. This app is good if you are trying to see what size your pieces should be to make complex patterns. But its hard to work with and glitchy.

This is the most AMAZING app I have right now!! I love being able to draw out the ideas in my head and have the math done for me to know how many and what sizes I need to cut for a single block up to 36 blocks and in so many different sizes. Makes it easier to use my Accuquilt GO! system as well. Definitely helps me save trees - no longer trying to plot them out on a paper grid! THANKS!!!!!

I DON'T QUILT 😊 I use the app to design patchwork squares and blocks to crochet. I would like to see a broader range of colors to select from. Like one of the color squares that allow you to drag your finger in the color until you get the share and depth of color accurate to your project. It would also be great to have the ability to use a border around the block and be able to choose different blocks and see them together in the larger 3x4 layout.

A good basic app, but in need of some serious improvements. Edited with update. • An undo button for rotations rather than having to reset the block or accidentally reset all of the blocks. • Fix the block rotation glitch. They stick in rotation sometimes and freeze at funny angles, and I can't reset just that block. • Ability to use curved blocks. • Needs a custom color wheel • Make it so we can save this to an SD card! I just lost all of my quilts when I changed phones and am so frustrated!!

Has good possibility, the pattern library is decent and seems like a great tool for laying out your basic idea. However the pattern maker needs work. I'm combining storm at sea with snails trail and couldn't draw more than the first square, as soon as I draw the second it disappears. If that's a purchase limitation why have the pattern editor an option at all? Or perhaps a pop-up notification that further drawing will require a purchase? I will be interested to see where this app goes.

The updated version with the quilt designer is an awesome feature, I am looking forward to seeing future functions up and running. I still have a qlitch with my Samsung 9 edge phone I can't draw my own quilt block, but nonetheless I really enjoy this program. I snap a screenshot and Bluetooth the file to my PC. I have designed many quilts using this app.

I like this app but it does glitch out alot on custom quilt patterns. Also it needs work of the photos imported to the quilt. They come out too large vs the scaling by very far. Also would be nice if you could see the pattern on the entire quilt. Overall useful but it needs some more fixes to really next level this app.

Some good ideas but really glitchy, cumbersome and apparently only half finished. I paid for the full (ad-free) version. Granted £3.85 isn't a huge amount of money but the app is disappointing. The sashing feature is "coming soon". Blocks are not filterable by "family" (bear claw/stripes/HST/stars etc.)& with nearly 700 finding your pattern is a marathon effort. The image of your fabric is a brilliant idea for planning your block /quilt but it doesn't save/allow you to preview the whole quilt.

This app is super confusing and I couldn't figure out how to use the different colours. The help popups were half cut off most of the time and I count see wjat it said. I want to be able to make an entire quilt and not just a part of a quilt. I also couldnt get any different shapes except for a square and even then it wouldnt let me draw a square.

I'm not a quilter, but can assemble basic tops. I need help with cutting. I like the cutting instructions and patterns for individual blocks, but I need a cutting list for my whole quilt. When sashes and such are added, it becomes more than just cutting enough for one block and repeating for each one. For a whole quilt, it would be nice to know finished dimensions, number of pieces/shapes, and how many yards of fabric of each color are required.

Really like the app. It would be nice to not have the quilt blocks pre-set when laying out your design. I like my blocks in different areas. The option to reverse and mirror the blocks would nice, also. The only thing really useful is the easy ability to create your own block designs. Thank you.

I've had this program about 5 years: free - paid - let subscription go - reinstated subscription, but will not pay for it again. App is light, uncomplicated and gets the job done, sort of. "Rotate block" has been relocated in the app and 5 block designs are omitted once app is purchased/repurchased and updated. Were 692 designs, now 687. White is NOT in color palette so NO cutting info for white. New options added; nice but unnecessary. App required uninstall/reinstall. The app has issues!

I loved the ability to create my own blocks, although I had to edit an existing block to do so. Also, the app allowed me to lay out a design on one day, then was asking me to pay when I tried to start another quilt layout with the same number of squares. Frustrating to have app functionality removed that existed a day before.

I like the app but a big negative is that, when in quilt design mode, you cannot seem to filter the quilt patterns to only show your favorite patterns. Scrolling through all patterns over and over again is annoying when making a varied quilt.

WOW WOW WOW!! This app blew my mind! There are so many features!! Design your own block quilts and then print your own patterns! O_O I am indecisive when planning a quilt because of the many variations to choose. I will take weeks or months to plan my quiltsI I downloaded this app and had my sons' quilts designed and printed in just a few hours. I am very happy and impressed with this app! Every quilter needs this app!!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how handy this app is already on my first day of usage. The fact that I can change the size of each pattern, and have the pattern pieces adjust accordingly, then send to PDF for printing and cutout... I mean how cool is that ?! My new favorite app.

Very difficult to use/learn as there are no instructions. You tube videos very little help. App is free, so I guess that is why. In the amount of time spent trying to learn how to use the app, could have done a "mock-up" on the table and got the same results.

The app is difficult to use and doesn't work as advertised. I should be able to drop a design or pattern onto individual squares when designing a quilt, it shouldn't auto-fill the entire quilt.

Easy intuitive interface. Three stars because 1. I would like to be able to rotate the squares for the large quilt concept 2. I want to be able to see what two squares on a quilt would look like.

Being new to quilting, this is app is a great way to find different blocks. The scaling feature has made making my first quilt much easier and being able to design my own blocks is really cool.

love this app. it's great for beginners that just want to play around with different designs or for the experienced quilter who knows exactly what they want. it's awesome!

I love this app! No way are you going to get all these blocks and cutting guides on any other free app. I have not found one quilt block missing from the catalog that I have wanted to do yet!!! Thank you

I wish they had the Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern. That's the one I'm trying to plan right now and why I downloaded the app. But all the patterns it has are grid patterns. It does have quite a number of patterns, though, which is super cool. Just not the one I was looking for.

Great find for free! Same design capabilities as early versions of E, but much more user friendly. Wish I could design my own blocks. Free version does not have shoo fly or fight.

Fascinating! Great library of quilt blocks, and the cut information is helpful. I would love to be able to print the entire block, but this is cool!
