This app doesn't recognise submissions (for PhD milestones). I can see that I've submitted the documents on the QUT/HiQ website, however this app does not reflect this. Even my supervisors/faculty can all see that these milestone have been submitted, so why can the app not recognise this. It just keeps telling me that it's overdue and to apply for an extension.
My friends told me the QUT app is handy. But it doesn't work on a Chinese Android mobile phone as Google Play and Google everything are blocked on Chinese phones... Please consider inclusion of the app in the Xiaomi app store as well. Thanks
This app doesn't work on my tablet
((EDITED)) Transfers eStudent, Blackboard and all other administrative functions into one app in your mobile device. Easily accessible and works really well.
There is always a connection error when i load up the app even though my internet connection is fine and works for everything else
What's wrong with this app, everytime i opened it, it always says connection problem detected. Even though I'm already connected to wifi, also using my mobile data.
Having problems with blackboard only on Android for some reason and can't find a fix
Not bad can go down at rough times tho.
This is a great app, so useful.
Love it except for the fact there isn't an option to add a home screen widget to display my classes.
This app is literally a godsend
A widget to view my calendar would be awesome
Generally pretty decent. Could use a more consistent/ coherent design language of its own (or adopt Material Design instead). I think many people would prefer more embedded functions instead of using the webapp in an embedded Chrome tab. Generally seems a little cumbersome and I'd also like the option to use a similar homepage to the one on QUT virtual. The tabs on the bottom are very reminiscent of early iOS days and around 2011/12 design language for the competing platform and don't necessarily fit contextually on Android in 2018 (refer to Material Design in my humble opinion). Overall decent, but certainly room for improvement and at the very least further general optimisation. -Sam G, IT student and general whinger/ OCD/ Nagger about these sorts of things. Good job though guys, keep up the effort in your maintenance. :)
Useful for real-time updates on classes and life-saving access to blackboard and HiQ.
New features all the time, big fan.
Am a new international student and I love this app because it makes things simple for me
It's great
The app itself is really useful. Could be 4 or 5 stars if it updated correctly. Every time it updates, when I go to use the shortcut on my home screen, it says the app is not installed and when I search for it in my apps it's nolonger there, I then have to uninstall and reinstall. This is the only app that does this. Drives me a little nutty.
Good, but seems like a web wrapper mainly. Is annoying to authenticate multiple times as a result. Other than that, quite useful
Handy app, much better than trying to navigate the not so mobile friendly virtual page. Access to calendar, exam info, and parking status is all I ever really need but finding facilities and getting directions is also really handy. Sad that this has only been released just as I'm finishing at uni.
Was having an issue with logging in, setting chrome as the default browser fixed this issue. Good app, has lots of potential.
Maybe fix the kinks and bugs before releasing it. It honestly sucks. I am stuck on an almost white home page watching the "loading" symbol spin around more times than the wheel of fortune. For a university of TECHNOLOGY.... ummm... I think you should never admit to owning the app.
Home page not working on android (so it seems - says i'm not allowed there :) but the search link takes me to QUT interface which is better than nothing particularly because I can check the calendar from there :)
Kindly include the feature to check qut emails with in the app with email notifications. This is pointless to use the app if it redirects you to the browser for most of the features
Before I would avoid going on the QUT site from my phone to check things like my next class, but I can see myself using this app a lot. Hopefully the website linked at the bottom (such as blackboard) become easier to use. There is something about them that makes them hard to navigate in. I am super glad the buttons don't switch apps to my browser unless I want to. It makes it much faster to check on things.
Has potential, but lacks probably the most important and useful feature of any university assistance app, which is proper Blackboard and eStudent integration. It just redirects you to the page in your browser and makes you type out your account details again. Not any less convenient than doing it in your browser alone to begin with.
It has some bugs and it doesn't meet students general needs and it has a poor design. It needs a lot of enhancements and it could be all in one application if put enough efforts.
A solid app that centralises the most useful information for students in a tidy package. Excited to see it evolve.
Good app.. Hope it get interconnected with the blackboard app rather than redirecting to the blackboard web page
Honestly, whose idea was it to make this app the only way to view PhD milestones? We frequently have to update our timelines for assessments and progress reports, and this app is not an easy nor efficient way of accessing this information. PLEASE bring back this in PORTIA or similar so we can access our information from the launch pad. I should not have to use an app for vital milestone information.
