This game is ok but considering it is a game I had to pay for, it could be much better. It just feels really unfinished to me. The pitching system is very frustrating and honestly you guys should consider completely changing it in my humble opinion. Maybe look at how some other games do it, like 9innings or one of the others. This is a fun game but it can be much much better. I love the option for using retro uniforms!
I was excited to play this game, as the graphics looked very good, but the gameplay is quite atrocious. The frame rate is horrendous, making batting near impossible, and I'm using a Galaxy S9. And pitching is strangely simplistic: there's no pitch meter, and you can't place the ball where you want it . Instead of selecting a pitch type, you weirdly move the analog stick in one of four directions and then tap a button - that's it. And you can't change the camera angle either. Huge disappointment.
It has been a while since I've had a baseball game on my Android phone. I was hesitant to purchase the game due to feedback however I bit the bullet. While this cures my need it does fall short. Graphics are clean but pitching and batting interface hurt the game experience. If your on the fence and need a fix it will do.
great looking game. It plays like a classic arcade style game. the base running is pretty terrible, mostly because it seems every runner based on how many times you push run, clicking twice sends everyone 2 bases, which isn't a good thing. but other than that the game is a lot of fun and very challenging
RBI 19 is unplayable unless you are devoted to baseball on your smartphone. The gameplay is solid while the controls are slippery. (Causes you to 'hang' pitches or hit grounders.) The biggest issue is the fact that you (and your opponent) can hit dozens of singles, but homeruns are few a far between. It's truly a deadball era simulator. If this game gets an update patch, this could be rectified and it'll be a strong 4/5 like previous entries.
Gameplay and graphics are pretty good, AI seems reasonable mostly. I have a few issues: 1) in my season, the rest of the league is 20+ games ahead of me and I'm only in April. Other teams should be in similar places in their schedules. 2) Graphics can be glitchy 3) performance chokes up sometimes, even on a Pixel 3 4) Sorting league stats can only be done by position so you can't figure out who real league leaders are
Forget all the misleading negative reviews, this 2019 edition is the most polished and improved so far. I was hesitant to buy this game because of my bad experience from the 2016 version, but after giving it a try, well, I must admit that I was blown away by the many improvements they brought for this year's installment. Huge credits to its developer(s) who strived to continue to support and to improve this awesome baseball experience! More power and rock on! I highly recommend this game!✌😉👌🔥
Very good simple little baseball game....there is one glitch where the player who gets the last out just stands there as the others run to the dugout but thats about all i see as far as glitches. Looks really good....the homerun sequence could be a little longer.....player stances are on point....some models need work but most are fine. Just fun baseball
It's really fun when it works. I struggle to advance only 1 runner and that's annoying but besides that and a few other problems it's a great game. It freezes occasionally and the hitting controls were really difficult at first but it gets easier.
*** so i bought a new phone (Huawei p30 lite) and now the game plays great - cant complain anymore - plus I get to have dale murphy on my team - and they have a better selection of alternate and classic uniforrms - this by far the best edition yet cant even start a game.... i deleted some big apps hoping it could help but no luck. this is first time playing the game on android. downloaded it for my iPad but the performance is just as poor.
Battery Draining Garbage. Very boring gameplay. No pitch control. Hitting is not fun. Even hitting Homer's is boring. Controlling multiple baserunners is confusing (if even possible). Play 5 innings and the phone heats up and battery is run down. There's no practice mode for BP (like a home run derby option) so its learn on the fly. The pitcher is too small on the screen so its hard to time a pitch and you cant recognize ball/strike until it's too late. Waste of time and money.
POSITIVES: Gameplay is fun, I'm happy with the experience. I love that you play with real teams and its not a fremium model. NEGATIVES: Load times are interminably long (30+ seconds to main menu, over a minute to playing) on my Pixel 2. Its hard to hit well!
This game was fun until it stopped letting me progress in the post season of my 162 game franchise. I'm really not happy about that, time wasted in my opinion. I'd really like to get a refund but, seeing as how that won't happen I'll just wait and waste more time hoping for a fix. Playing oa Galaxy Note 9
Game is okay but needs work!! A few issues. The game force closed when I hit a HR and when I came back to the game I wasn't credited with the HR. Another issue, I hit a foul ball into the stands and the outfielder slid and hit the wall about 10 feet away and still caught it as an out. Also my outfielder was going for the ball and then just stopped all of sudden a few feet short and let the ball sail passed him. I really was looking forward to many hours of baseball fun but I am deterred.
Game isn't realistic as described. You only can pitch Fastballs or slow balls. if you want to curve you have to move the stick to attempt to make it work. Batting you shouldn't have to move around in the box while swinging if your trying to hit in opposite direction.
The 2 aspects of the game pitching and batting both are terrible. You have no fine control of pitches and no pitch selection as in curve, slider, sinker, or change up and batting there's no camera control so you're stuck batting at a terrible angle. To make matters worse you have a fraction of a second to swing or not once the pitcher throws. No time to see if the pitch is in the dirt or way outside. You just swing and hope which hits a most common foul ball. Wasted my money.
This game is garbage. I can't even get through a whole game without it glitching out. I literally have to exit and restart the game 4 or 5 times just to finish 9 innings. Even then, it doesn't always fix it. I have had this game for 2 days and have only been able to finish 2 of the 6 games I have started. What a joke! I want my money back.
Good game, but for some reason stealing bases doesn't work about 75% of the time. However, I love the season mode setup and how realistic the player setup is.
Paid and game will not load. Emailed the company and non-refundable for what was paid. I've had the new tablet checked out and it is compatible with this game. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. So disappointed in the customer service. I actually gave the benefit of the doubt against the other reviews but they were correct.
great gameplay.... however.. It would be REALLY nice if there was a way to backup your progress to the cloud, so if you move from one device to another, you dont have to start your franchise over.
The Android version of this game needs a patch asap! It is at times borderline unplayable due to hideous frame rate when hitting making ever pitch feel like it is coming at you at a thousand miles an hour!, and throw buttons not responding while fielding! Could be a four-star game if fixed in patch. Why has MLB Advanced Media treated the Android version of this game with no respect compared with the X-Box One, Ps 4, Nintendo Switch, and IOS versions of RBI Baseball 18?
It's kind choppey if you dont have a good phone. But overall its is runs smooth if you free some space in ur phone. Gameplay is good. The game is changing witch I like and it has a good franchise mode.
This is probably the worst baseball game i played on a mobile device. This game could've been so good because the graphics are nice and the gameplay has potential, but the pitching and hitting is horrendous. What's the point of having different pitchers if they all can do the same thing with their pitches; makes no sense.
This is a very simple simulation of Major League Baseball. You bat. You throw. You make team selections. That's it. There are some minor trade options. This isnt a bad thing if you want that easy 'pick up and play' experience but it does lack depth. What really bothers me at the moment are the clunky animations (are frames missing?) and clunky AI (fielders making hard work of throwing simple balls to bases). The developers really should be doing a better job.
