R-Cast

Thanks for stealing my money!! Once I figured out this horrible layout of an app it worked perfectly for a few months. Now, not so much. It will no longer cast off any site I go to. It's still connected but will cast random videos that's not even on the site I'm looking at. I've re- downloaded everything and re connected everything and still nothing.

Paid for and only played video audio for only 4 seconds then it would shutdown! App was uninstalled after refund was requested and returned. Restarted both roku, and phone for best possible chance of workable application use. I'm certainly a techie, and am quite capable of quick easy setups, with most capable of most configurations without issue. i changed my original review because i know Rcast attempted to create a usable app. Respectfully, my initial review and comment was inappropriate.

I figured playing for the full version weight get me a better product, so I didn't even try the free version. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the streaming devices to show up after steering to play a video in order for it to be cast. The devices eggs gender show up, even if I refreshed the site. I got you guys will finder me a refund, because this just doesn't work as advertised.

Absolutely worthless and I bought it! only plays the video for 3 seconds and the cuts out and quits very pissed update switching to the 3 stars from 1 star due to their prompt attention to this review and a quick refund. the app has a ton of problems too many to list but they did handle the situation professionally and quick which isn't any more then I could ask for (barring a useable app) the company 10 out of 5 stars though!

Horrible. Supposedly you can upgrade to play videos longer then 10 minutes. I played with it for about an hour and couldn't get anything to play longer then 20 seconds. (Timed with stopwatch) Then when the video ends it disconnects from the device its being streamed to so you need to start the app again.

Big Nope! The page this takes you to after you open the app is suspect looking to begin with. This does not launch but send a series of format error messages to your Roku/tv screen. The application does not provide sufficient information nor details for operating or problem solving of these various errors. I have a newer model TV, Roku and phone.

Not very reliable. Video may start and play for less than 5 seconds then goes right back to the Roku home screen. Or video may play fine fir about 8 minutes before giving me the 10 minute cut off announcement. I would have gladly paid for the upgrade, if the app worked all or even most of the time.

EDIT: Updated from 1★ to 3★ when they refunded $ I'd spent upgrading app immediately after review posted. Apparently video formats, host sites, and hardware make/model offer many variables that can interfere. [ORIGINAL: worked great during 10 minute trial, so I had no problem buying, but once did the app only played 1/3 of the videos I tried to watch, and kept insisting that download other apps. I got frustrated and unistalled within 20 min of purchase. cant find the link to do so anywhere.]

I bought this some years ago and loved it, but now it wont work at all. Roku devices appear, disappear, connected for a second then disappears, doesnt remember my nick names for even a second. Doesnt work anymore and no update. This is why I tey not to pay for apps. Nothing lasts more than a few months these days, then gotta find, reaearch, and pay for something else.

The classic "Doesn't even deserve one star" I downloaded and wasted the extra $2.49 for longer videos so I could cast to my Rokus. You can't just type in a web address that is playing a video; it just shows a white screen on my phone. I did manage to play embedded videos from websites R-Cast has stored but not even all of those worked.

Good experience at first, easy to work and access sites, ect. But after paying for the extenstion the app started to act up. At first the problem was I'd be able to pull up a site but the video wouldn't load or the casting screen wouldn't show up, even though it had before the payment. Now it won't even load the site or if it does it, takes at least 2 mins. To fix it I've had to re-install it and it usually works. But it's gotten so bad that now I'm having to re-install it multiple times a day.

Trying to watch a vid and it keeps asking where I want to watch it, I selecy the correct Roku, it starts playing on the tv, then it asks where I want to watch the video again, then, it restarts all over again. Every 1 min! So infuriating

the app is pretty good, I use it alot. it doesn't work all the time but when it works its really great! my only complaint is that they should go back to the old system where you could put up the video in the video itself, and not have those instant pop ups that get on my last nerve

I'm trying to play a Masterclass video on Roku. The timing is not lined up so the video plays ahead on TV while sound is on phone. Also, the video plays for 30 seconds on Roku before returning to Roku nHome page. Still some bugs.

Auto detecting formats work.....but won't save url when I choose yes, it dumps the url and have to repeatively load it. It was working fine for two weeks. This is a mainpoint feature that's having an ongoing issue guite some time I've been a radical user for a few years Please fix this issue

Was excited to use this with my new Roku TV but it doesn't even work longer than 5 seconds before going back to the main screen. I even bought the app thinking the free version didn't work.. nope, waste of money..

It works on certain websites. They need to add an adblocker so that it stops streaming only ads. Some videos stream for a bit then it drops. Basically a hit or miss scenario

Horrible couldn't watch a full video at all even after upgrading to the paid service would only play about 15 seconds before restarting the video and asking how i wanted to watch it. If i wanted to watch a movie on my phone i wouldn't have given this a chance

It just works with some webpages. It's very common to give up and turn the computer on. You can watch less than the half part of the movies you try.

Used this app for years and suddenly it will not load any sites within the app. Gives me an error message for any website, including google. I'm very frustrated as I paid for the app and expect it to work. If this issue gets resolved I will adjust my review.

I'm very disappointed, I downloaded the app hoping to stream an family picture album, it will NOT stay connected at all. It connects for like 10 to 20 seconds if even that. Disappointed!

This doesn't work for casting to Roku as it should. It couldn't play any videos, even those sample/stock videos on their own site. That's awful!

Just another scam. It literally does nothing but play a 30 second ad on the TV. You cannot actually play videos of any kind using this, much less stream them from browser to TV.

Keeps asking me where I want to see video and only play a few seconds before asking again. One video played so I decided to pay but only that one video plays. Most videos only play a few seconds.
