The Rohingya Project’s R Coin functions as a social incentive device. The objective of the token is to increase the social volunteering spirit among refugees, especially youth, and encourage integration within the local host country based on meritorious activities which can be documented. Refugees who perform certain community volunteering functions will be rewarded with tokens that have been generated by Rohingya Project and distributed through key partners. These tokens can then be redeemable for prizes offered by sponsors when they reach a designated number.

The token will be generated via the e-wallet service. Though the token is NOT a medium of exchange, it can be allowed to be transferable among refugee users to document any potential for circulation.

Please note that the below tasks must be done on a volunteer basis with no cash payment receivable.
- Teaching, training or tutoring at refugee community education facilities
- Acting as an interpreter for Refugee facing language difficulties or for third parties dealing with Refugee
- Counselling/mental health services provided to fellow refugee
- Assistance with UN/NGO partners in administrative and other capacities
- Refugee-specific community cultural, sports, food or art activities
- Recycling campaign or tree-planting activities
- Group cleanup of certain community centers, mosques, etc.
