Rabico! - Visual Novel Game Engine for Android
Using Rabico is easier and easier than using other game engines! Instead of typing your own code and creating your own game, even if you don't have the expertise to do so, there's a pre-loaded scene & character & script editor that will make your making experience way better! If you want to make a visual Nobel game, but you don't know anything, or you can't afford to prepare a computer or other equipment, Rabico will be a good start for you!
Labico can compile the finished game project files directly into an APK file and launch them on the Google Play Store (requires a developer account) or share them on the Rabico! OpenServer and enjoy them with the community!
Rabico uses Json and Java. Rabico engine is programmed in Java, and almost all project files except resources are in JSON format.
In addition, game project files created with Rabico can be adapted to multiple platforms if you have an interpreter running on that platform.
Currently only Android is available, but I'm planning to expand gradually into platforms such as Windows, IOS, Mac, Linux and more in the near future!

Fairly easy after messing around a bit. It's hard to save files, but thankfully there's always a popup reminder so you can force saved with that. The part I struggled with slightly is creating scenes and the part I struggled hardest with is creating script. This app has a lot of potential, so I will give a second review after messing with it some more.
It was a bit confusing but super friendly for a newbie like me! Some of the tutorial are not really complete because it did not teach you how to make your own game menu...But other than that, every tutorial provided in the app was very very helpful! I had already make my own visual game here in just 3 hours. thank you dev! But i'm only gonna give 4 star because i cannot download my game. But still, overall it was the best visual novel maker for mobile so far!
powerful sdk for 2d game design. conceptually, its one of the most important apps on play. its a great test bed for any button oriented project. its a little fragile, a little buggy and still lacking documentation, but the dev was great in responding to questions. programming language literacy isn't needed but knowledge of basic scripting logic helps. note: don't forget to save a setting for the project b4 testing and add "{}" around variables in the if/else and calculation math text fields...
It's tough to actually develop a game because of the lack of information we're given, but it's a cute app with seeming potential. I also deleted the Video scene, but it came back and glitched my project so I can't open any scene except the Main menu and an error screen shows up a lot. Please fix!~
For some reason, I can't log in to my Openserver account, also, it seems like the website is down (Well, for me it can't be reached.) I don't know if theres a way to fix these issues, I tried finding ways but theres not a single tutorial on how to. I'll try joining the Discord server just in case. For now, my review is 3 stars, its easy to use, but the issues im having now ruins it, I'll turn it into 5 stars if its fixed. Edit: Turns out, the open server is experiencing some issues. I undestand.
So far its pretty good. I dont really know how to code much so i cant so this myself so ill just suggest it here. Maybe have it so that someone can select something and if its not selected they cant access a seen in the game (Like say you have an arachnophobia. And a part of the game is a very detailed fight with a giant spider and there is even some art. You definetly dont want to see that so the creater can add like a "preference menu" and set their own preferences and link scenes to that.)
It really has potential but I experience an INSANE amount of glitches and lag. For one, It won't let me sign in. It kicks me out of the app every three seconds. It gives me this pop-up that says "Error", it won't go away. I have to exit the app in order for it to leave. Please, help me :]
I really enjoy the crud out of this app it has really been fun but not exactly helpful I feel like this app needs even more tutorials because me personally I don't get any of this stuff all these variables it makes me think really hard but no matter how much more I think it makes it even more difficult for me can you please make a super advanced tutorial on this app that explains everything so perfectly literally every single thing to better create our own stories for the newbies :)
It's a good tool and all and easy to use after you figure it out after some messing around but kind of is useless since you can't export it into all and would have to take the files and make it into apk yourself I will try and find a way to do stuff but for now it's just something toess around with not a visual novel maker used to publish games just used for practice
I think this is a really good app--- and only one of a few visual novel maker apps out there. At first it was really hard to understand a thing so I do recommend simple and easy to follow tutorials.
Rabico is a great app for making visual novels, but I'm pretty rusty on my coding, so it was difficult for me to use. Maybe there should be a "new mode," "normal mode," and "pro mode?" I don't know, just an idea :) Overall it's a really great game, but I couldn't give it a full five stars because I did not have the full experience. That's all---thank you for reading this and I would recommend this to you, but only if you're familiar with coding and stuff like that 💛
Super easy to use, I don't know why people complains about it being difficult. For lexis, you can try scaling the character with scripts.
This is really a great app. I installed it before on its previous version and I was so happy that it became more easier to use now. I actually made a visual novel with it (but not yet finished). Anyway, you did a great job developer! I really love this app❤️

It's easy to understand and it's fun to use. One problem I have is that when I change image for a character, the script can't seem to understand it. I can't change my character's faces and expressions because of that. If there is a solution to this, please tell me.
I can't seem to make my file work. It just keeps saying engine failure and somewhat lie that. I'll re-download this again in the future and I hope you create more tutorials that are easy to understand and elaborate. Good luck ❤
My characters appear super small and I dont understand why or how to fix it without going in and changing more than 100 sprite sizes. If that's what I have to do to fix it then i'd rather find a different app
Very flexible, the new template makes it easier to understand. Scripting is easy, and overall, it's good.
There's litterly no way to sign up for a new account. When I press the 'create' button for the account nothing works, and I think that means you can sign in now, that doesn't work either. Fix this please
actually pretty great once you get the hang of it, lots of potential for many different things in general, you could make a really sick visual novel with this

Its great, but where can i find a tutorial? Updates Are goooood, this is the best app for vn makers... Still waiting for the apk build update. Big problem at the latest update you cant proceed to use the app because there is no check box in the usage rule... Fix this please
fairly useful and great app! However I'm super confused, the tutorials are way too limited, hop to see more tutorials soon in the furture!
It's a good app and all but can you please add more context to the tutorials. They just show how to write the script, I just want to know how to actually interpret it into everything.
I try to sign up twice, and it will make me login with my new account, but it won't let me login with the exact information I had just registered. That is a technological error.

It amazing. We need more stuff like this. Please add support for windows. The app only supporting Android. Makes it a bit of a deal breaker.
This was really a great visual novel maker. It was pretty easy to use! Even in the old version and even tho the app lacks tutorials, I was able to make a Visual Novel (despite not being able to export it yet) My only problem is that it crashes sometimes. I hope you can fix that, it was pretty fun making visual novels, I hope to make more in the future :)
