The app is great! I set up all 4 of my stations, added the time i wanted, and used the smart soak option. It has done wonders for my lawn and plants. The ability to do a quick run when needed also helps. Seasonal changes are perfect when you don't realize you no longer need to water as much or water more based on the season.

This app was great last summer, but now it's terrible! It's extremely slow to load. It's always having issues "connecting" (and no, it's not my internet/network). It keeps saying there's a watering in progress when I want to do a "quick run," (but no other zones are running).

Love this app. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would it very useful for remote control when you're not at your property. Sure it would be great if they had expanded vegetation types like grapevines and if it were a little more intuitive to find the current running zone / live status but once you get the hang of it you're all set. Overall it's excellent.

I really like the app, but I would like to see a bit more customization options. I'd like to see the ability to put in what type of drippers you have (GPH) along with quantity. It seems like this information would be pertinent to figuring out how long you should be watering. Maybe I'm missing something though.

Very smart system with ability to manually fine tune for your specific needs. I switched to fully weather adjusted fully automatic and plants look healthier and water consumption was reduced substantially. It really does work. Located in San Diego county

The app is fine but it's missing the most critical piece of data I want, usage in gallons. That's how we get billed for water, not by the minute. Very unfortunate. My water bill in the summer runs $400-$500 and understanding the usage in gallons allows me to approach my irrigation with cost in mind. Usage in minutes is useless.

set up for home irrigation could not possibly be easier. I am thoroughly impressed. the interface to quick run a Zone could be streamlined. however I also recognize their Maybe disincentive to make it too easy

It's one of those apps designed just right that strikes the balance between manual operations and automated operations. Beautifully designed UI and easy to navigate.

20May22. It is raining. Can I skip next Tuesday? No! Can I also skip next Thursday because the ground is saturated and we are in a drought? No! Instead there are all these stupid options that have zero to do with pausing the watering when it is raining in Southern California. Poor design and usebility. With a manual controller all the needed controls are right there-single button push: Rachio, No.

Very intuitive and reliable. I can check the weather and control all my watering from anywhere in the world. Highly recommended.

App is clugy and device died. It was not user friendly. Lots of great features but the layout was very awkward. Then the unit just died so now I need to find another expensive device. I will do more research this time around.

App is extremely slow and will not save changes. Your updates are largely all making the app worse. Also your watering schedule for flex monthly in FL for warm weather grass is crazy, watering almost every day in the summer. Watering daily in FL just makes dollar weed uncontrollable.

Rachio App should pause immediately, elderly neighbors got wet when i realized there was a pop up for 15,30 1h pause. Just pause it like a music player. I'll add a time pause time soon after. Also, been trying to set up a saturday water routine, but it doesnt register onto the device. I still only have 1 day a week.

Excellent system! Auto rain stop, being able to control while I'm on vacation and even paid for itself through water savings. I rarely rate apps as it takes 5+ stars to be take the time to do so.

When properly connected and programed it runs flawlessly. Only issue I see is is a little cumbersome to get on your network. Other than that this is well worth the effort to connect to your network. Customer support is a little slow to respond but they know their equipment and take care of problems very well. They deserve many kudos for the support they provide.

They've made it better since I first bought a Rachio and started using the app, but it's still a little jinky and confusing at times. The app also loses connectivity with my Rachio about 1/10 times (closing and restarting corrects it). I have definitely found it better to dumb it down quite a bit. The "smart" schedules come dangerous close to killing my landscape, so it's usually better to put it on a set schedule of 2-3x/week and enable the weather skips (a smart function that does work well).

The concept is great but with one major flaw that makes this device useless as a smart device. Once you create a zone you need to choose what type of plants are in it. Guess what? You can only choose *one* type, so if you got trees, annuals, perennials, shrubs, and bushes like most landscapes, the water intake calculator becomes useless. Unless they add the option to select multiple types of plants, this is good only as a remote control nothing else.

This controller and app smoke the one I struggled with for 3 years. I wish I had purchased this when deciding to convert to a smart irrigation system. Thank you Rachio8 and keep up the R&D...

Flakey app, constant problems getting it to load. Not very intuitive to navigate also.

No worries lawn irrigation from anywhere via internet. Sometimes the forecast from the weather station throws it off, then I remotely start a cycle.

Best connected irrigation controller on the market. Used it for 2 years now and love the water saving and remote operating features.

Smart sprinklers were the best smart device purchase I've ever made! This makes handling watering the lawn so much easier and leaves my clothes a lot more dry!

fairly easy to use. a bit weird hooking to internet. a bit unusual selecting smart watering and or other watering schedules. but nice graphics. and easy to do quick runs. overall better than or previous Orbit system. would buy again if we move.

Great app easy to navigate with the Rachio sprinkler unit. Developers designed it to be as simple oe detailed as you want to set up the sections you are watering. Details such as soils types, slope, freeze and wind delays, and even evaporation rates. Would highly recommend this app and the smart Rachio sprinkler control for everyone.
