After PYKL disappeared, I installed Radar Alive sometime last year but didn't use it much until last week. I'm a storm chaser and mainly use GRLevel3 on my laptop, using Allison House feeds. I've got to say, over the last week I used Radar Alive on my phone much more and it is quite feature rich! The detailed AH radar feeds (which use level 2 data if I recall) are superb, better than what I get in GRLevel3 on my laptop. Take the time to customize the app. It is very flexible. I recommend.
Been using this for years....great app. Chased on Moore with this and PYKL. Never a problem on various Android devices. Lightweight enough on bandwidth to be useful when cell data is thin out there. Keep up the updates, and glad to see a responsive app dev. like you guys.
Been using this app for years and it's always provided quick accurate information. The recent radar display issues, related to a change made by the NWS, have been quickly fixed and everything is working correctly. Replies for support/questions about the app have been answered quickly. Thanks
Good radar app. The normal radar view doesn't have the resolution I need. However, the wind velocity display is excellent! I now use this almost exclusively for the relative wind velocity data, during severe weather events.
Be aware, that even after purchasing this app you will still have to become a member of the allison house (for around $30 a month)to get all the features. Which is very misleading and dishonest.
Not updated in months. Clunky, dated user interface. RadarScope and Radar Omega are frequently updated and better for me.
Works pretty good, it needs a terrain map option to be truly useful and an in app lightning subscription would be better.
Now that the app got a much needed update, I'll give it a good test. As a Skywarn spotter for my area, I need the best combination of apps I can find (radar apps being essential).
this app is very good excellent quality great service willing to work are you even I had an issue with one of my tablets it wasn't their fault found that it was a tablet fault they make suggestions and so does the dealer returning the tablet I think when people reach out from the company like this and help you they have a real good attitude towards their product which I think is fantastic
Great weather radar app. Integrated Allison House data usage is very useful. Developer very responsive to support requests.
Waited for my Spotter Network ID. Nothing, restarted app, checked status. Everything seems fine but I'm nowhere to be found. Why I bought the app. Used Pykl3 for years
The best now Caprockweather discontinued their PYKL3Radar app. One issue is that there is no option to override screen timeout.
Didn't know i had to subscribe to Allison House? All the info I get for $7.99 i get the same or more from Wunderground for free. My fault! I wasted that money
Totally disgusted with this app, doesn't work and developers will not respond. They had no problem though keeping the $7.99. Please save your money, do not purchase !
I love this app! I ride a motorcycle and I need up to date weather conditions. This app gives it.
I am very happy with this program. The ease of selecting radar sites and products make it a joy to use.
The app works fine - has enough options to dial in what you are looking for...
I love this app, but i have question, why it is saying "Tilt Not Available in Clear Air Mode" when i put base reflectivity .9 248?
I am looking forward to continued use of this app. You all have created a great and useful tool. Keep up the awesome work.
Works ok, but color scheme and UI not that great.
My most used weather app. Great responsiveness from dev - Thanks John!
Thanks for the fast reply!! All seems to be working now. Great job!!
Perfect chase app. Grap your cell repeater and roll.
Nice app are there any updates pending
Good for learning the science of meterology.
Thanks for fixing it been useing this for years and will continue
This app has very good potential, but lacks in detail. The radar appears good and option to get fast updates as they become available. Option to setup different layers for different situations is excellent. Similar to the Pykl3 app, which is what many are looking for. Map display, such as roads, are very poor and appears old. Radar data is very pixelated and appears old style, also lacks smoothing option. Hope there is some upgrades and improvements soon.
