I downloaded this app because I was going to be driving cross country. And while the radio stations connect and play just fine, 90 percent of the radio stations available are in and from a different country than the U.S. Even while selecting to filter only stations in the US, there is almost no content. The app works great, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for your hometown radio station or haven't learned Russian. :)
I have tried many online radio apps, all of them has one big problem, they stop streaming for no obvious reason and don't start until you turn them back on. This app does wat it should and does restart if the stream breaks. Also selection of stations is enormous! Good App, a little unusual set up but then you work it out, it's all fine, thanks to developers!
PCRadio is very reliable and high quality radio application. In contrast to another radio app I had installed, PCRadio connects very fast to selected radio station. The interface is nice looking, very friendly and helpful. In free version, adds suggestions are not annoing and don't bother to use the program. There is possibility to modify sound quality using equaliser, or just to apply preset by default combinations. I love PCRadio!
Why this app needs to start playing music every time my phone connects to some bluetooth device (to my car, to a speaker, etc)? Even if I kill the app it starts playing every time i get into my car. This is so annoying! Only rebooting the phone helps. I'm ready to uninstall it. They will tell you "enable - pause when the headset is disconnected" but it doesn't help because it must be "STOP when the headset is disconnected" instead of PAUSE. When it PAUSE it restarts again by itself.
Works good now! After few weeks of using and struggling from weak or no sound I finally figured out that besides basic player option , equalizer settings somehow dropped volume control by itself after updated version was installed. If you have no sound after update turn on basic player and check out equalizer settings as well.
Listening to online radio stations and playlists from around the world is easy with this app. Easy to use interface. You can only select streaming quality if you paid for the full version. It only streams in medium quality if you use the free version.
App stops and closes no matter how many times I start it again. Push notifications show "Stations list update - Downloading..." forever (it never finishes downloading the up-to-date list of stations, no matter if on mobile or broadband wifi connection). No antivirus is installed and this shouldn't be an issue anyway.
Have been using it for few months and I really enjoy it. 10+ stars for automatically reestablishing the connection. I had this problem with other apps when I had to manually stop and start a station - not good when you driving.
Bravo! Love the sound quality, and I've been searching a LONG time for an android radio app with dynamic range compression! Bravo bravo, thank you!!!!! If there is a way to add my own URLs, I will buy a lifetime subscription to this app! (Sadly, most of my favorite stations are missing) Cheers to you and your excellent app.
It's a very good app. Would love it to be improved and an eminem station would be sweet but there's plenty of add free radio and the yearly subscription for hi-fi is like 5usd? By far the best music app. Voice controls would be the best upgrade to this app. I use it every day while trucking and I literally can't touch my phone while I'm driving.
"This app may not work in background in BATTERY SAVER MODE" - and suggests to switch off battery optimization for it. And that's in addition to breaking several other good practices. Example: does not pause audio playing during phonecalls, continues playing when headphones are disconnected.
On the side stations load real fast but the Ui is incomprehensible to me. Having done a search i can find no way to clear it and even after restarting the only stations i see are still 'rock'. There seems to be no way to exit the app other than through the notification.
I used to like it until it will pop up and play for no reason! Once in a while it comes up on my phone and plays music, although I don't require it! It can play music any time, in special during night , which is so annoying!
Horrible sound quality after latest update. Switched to base player as per developer suggestion, didn't help much. I've been using this app for years, loved it, it's a damn shame what happened to it. Unfortunately have to switch to a different app.
Switch on PC Radio and here is the sound... no waiting for the stream. Works even with poor internet connection. In my opinion the only App with a "real working" equalizer - unmatched! Most of all, no advertisment when starting like other similar Apps! Very happt with PC Radio :-)
It can always be improved but this app functions perfectly and is extremely user friendly. More fetures can be added, like if there isn't already an opption to play music offline such as an in-app download for times users have to go without data connection.
My biggest gripe is I did not know about this program sooner! I have a 128 kbit unlimited throttle on my data plan, and not only does this program function perfectly below the throttle without sounding bad, it was able to rebroadcast my favorite web stations. As is, I am happy, but I wonder if it is viable for a user to add their own stations not on the list?
Amazing work. Unlike most other radio apps - and tried my fair share of the so called top of the chart ones - that sound flat, clunky or church like, the sound is just fantastic. Keep adding stations. I'm a fan!
Ive always found this app awesome. Doesnt drain battery doesnt consume much data and zillions of stations. But... Ive installed on huawei p30 pro. And list will not be retrieved.. Zero stations and tried almost everything in settings of phone... Alas no use no music. Sad now
great app, havent figured out how to add streams but its great. simple, many stations, low battery usage. Dev, could you add an option (on/off) to not lose audio focus/ lower volume when a notification arrives?
Author not responds to mails and suggestions. Mayor inconvenience of app is absence of 'go to the top' button when one is browsing deep to the stations. Returning to the top is than really annoying.
BEST MUSIC STREAMING APP!! I LOVE music so naturally I've tried a variety of radio/channel streaming apps and while most have been fairly good, none have compared to PCRadio (imo). The interface is simple yet the variety of channels & genres is nearly endless. There's everything from 100s of satellite stations from around the world (and local) to only channels geared specifically to one artist or soundtrack. Plus the built in equalizer/music tuner is an added bonus! I def recommend!!
