Radio UK - Free Radio Online

Great little app 👍 If you want it to stop (a lot of people seem to have problems with this) you just hit pause and turn it off in your notifications bar.... I live in France and having Radio 4 back is worth a few in-the-background adds (really not instrusive). You can also set a timer... Brilliant idea.... There are tonnes of options to fiddle around with. I've used it on wi-fi and 4g and it's seamless! No complaints whatsoever.✌️🇫🇷🇬🇧

Great app but the ads have become quite annoying.Fair enough if you have to watch an ad for a few seconds then a close icon appears but an ad playing silly music in which the mute button doesn't work right away, wait for the skip icon to appear, then another skip icon appears, then it takes you to play downloads, you go back and can't exit etc. Every time this happens I keep thinking it's time to uninstall and find something else.

I really like this app, and have paid for the non-ad version, but there are a few reasons zi could not rate it 5 star: Doesn't remember playback position in podcasts. No buttons to skip forward or back in podcasts, you have to use the slider time line which is very inaccurate. If app is running and you click the notification to get back to it, app doesn't seem to open straight away, but goes through a loading screen every time, even if you only just minimised it.

I use this while driving my lorry. Its really frustrating when after a call it doesn't come back on automatically and I have to find somewhere to pull over and mess about with the adverts, play - advert - play.. maybe or maybe another advert. Did look at paying for the pro version but its not obviously clear how much it costs or the benefits. You press the button and it just wants to change you an undisclosed fee, maybe ill have to dig around to actually fine out the details

awesome easy to use and find radio stations your into! 2022 hadn't used app for a while but felt like listening to some radio again, app turns itself off randomly sometimes bugs out on adds with no close button appearing after time (Tried pressing back etc). Also full screen video ads, why when there are static ads plastered ALL over the page, that not enough revenue, as i said the video ads are bugging the app out, What happened?

Very good & in great clarity too. Only thing I find is how to switch off, there is only pause selection? Would like to see stations that are like Radio Four with plays, history etc. There is a comedy one. Tapping the Ad free it then says by tapping Agree you have immediate contract & can't withdraw etc, that seems very scary, there's not much to go on too really explain. The adverts get heavy taking up all the screen. Radio is excellent but the other is worrying. I won't delete yet.

Great app. It's a radio streaming app that has most of the most popular stations in the United Kingdom. Be advised some channels might not play outside the United Kingdom. Does what it's supposed to. Remove adverts for 3.49 if you want an advert free experience. There is a station for everyone no matter if you're a music person, a news person, or a sports person or combination. Tune in and discover your favourite station(s) and add them to your "Favourites" queue for quick and easy access.

I need a setting to prevent this app from downloading anything if I don't have wifi access - is that something you could add? The alarm sometimes works and sometimes doesn't (no sound at all until the phone is moved) - no idea why. There's nothing worse than an unreliable alarm. The phone had wifi and the sound volume was up. simply jolting the phone about an hour after the alarm time (when I woke up) brought the app into life. Quite frankly discussing this is a waste of my time. Fix it.

I'm in the US and recently found a UK DAB station I like - was looking for an app I could stream it from instead of through station's website every time. Radio UK has the station (other apps didn't), the stream is super clear, and the interface is clean and easy to navigate. There is a visual ad here and there, but it doesn't affect the listening experience at all, so NBD. Also, I can cast to my Chromecast, which is a nice bonus. Just what I was looking for, and even better than expected!

Generally just OK. Crashes or stops playing more than I like. Plus, it could be doing with a feature whereby when you are listening to a series of podcasts, a) it moves to the next one when one finishes and b) it remembers what cast you were listening to and where you were in it. It's super annoying having to spend time hunting for the correct minute you stopped it

This a great app for listening to all your favourite UK radio stations. There are a few improvements that should be made. The paid version should allow a control for buffering and overall, the night mode should be darker. It's too light. Other than that the splash screen could do with a revamp. It's really annoying.

I have tried seven of the top UK radio apps on Google Play Store, and this is the only one that can be transferred onto the phone's portable storage, thus saving internal storage on my cheap phone. Knocked off a star as the design is not my favourite, and it seems to be having trouble picking up a few of the local radio stations.

The sound quality is crystal clear. The content of the radio programs are outstanding and very family friendly. Before personal interviews with people who know God there is a heads up if their life experiences are not suitable for a young person to hear. There is an occasional pause sometimes and then the app will resume playing. There are several opportunities for audience participation in the form of quizzes, favourite song choices & listening to teaching of the Holy Bible. I love UCB!

If you're looking for radio app - that's the one for you! Does what it's supposed to do. Offers UK radio stations. On-line stream is in stereo compared to radio programs on TV and that DOES make a difference in sound. You can have 'favourites' in nice tile outlay, than stream through BT on cast to Chromecast. The app has even timer function, which can be useful. There are ads in this app, but not very intrusive and do not interfere with audio playback, which is great. So can't complain at all.

Handy little ap for listening to radio has worked well for me. This is a revision of my initial review after a few months use. App disconnects a lot, veey annoying. Thanks for your reply. If it may be of help it seems to be much more prevalent after listening for an hour or more not sure if there would be any issue with how it caches data

'Takeover advertising' with a countdown timer will always be a contentious issue. Yes, revenue is required but not at the expense of one's privacy. The station choice is great, but that's not all one needs to think about. I'd gladly give 5 out of 5 if advertising issues were sorted...before I ever decided to purchase. Thanks.

Unstable with awful obtrusive ads. Every time it disconnects for no reason (happens often) you have an ad which you can't close until the timer runs out. I don't mind unobtrusive ads but when they think they can waste my time it's a big no. Found another free app which is more stable, has more useful functions like an alarm and program schedule, and doesn't have any annoying form of adverts.

Works well BUT... ...I find it a real pain trying to start the app without my phone being overwhelmed by ads. Annoyingly (and this is why i WILL replace this app once i find an alternative), the 'X' to close the pop-ups switches sides and if you get it wrong you lose everything because Google Play kicks in and takes over - and the whole thing starts again once regain control when you try and re-launch Radio UK. Avoid and secure something less clumsy to start with.

Works well. No issues so far. Could have a few more stations but I guess it's down to licensing conditions etc. Either way it has music for everyone including podcasts and you can set favorite stations for easy access to the ones you like most. Missing one star because of the fact it doesn't have all stations

Well you were doing brilliantly! And then you started using ads which appear before you select the channel can turn the radio on. If I use your app I don't want to have to fart around trying to find out how I can see the barely visible white X to close it before I can turn the radio. Going to look at other apps now because playing silly buggers with stupid bloody games ads is not good enough.
