Radio X

I use this app every day and it's usually really good but it has started glitching. It just stops playing randomly, but especially if you lock your phone or open another app. These things never used to interupt what you were listening too. Really frustrating to keep opening up the app and pressing play. One of the benefits of the app is putting the phone in your pocket whilst you move around the house but that isn't really possible at the moment. Please sort this out! Already tried reinstalling.

Plays an ad on start up, wait 10 seconds to skip it, if you miss the slightly smaller button, it takes you to the website for the ad and when you go back to the app, the ad starts again with another 10 second wait! Annoying! Other than that, the user experience is OK. A few buffering issues here and there.

App keeps crashing where the audio cuts out. At one point when I wanted to stop listening it wouldn't allow me to turn off the audio, so had to force stop the app. *To Developers- Thanks for responding, I know how to use the app, been using it for years. When I press the stop audio button and nothing happens, or when the audio just cuts out at random, this isn't because I don't know how to use the app, it's because the app is buggy.

Constantly cuts out despite a strong internet connection. I downloaded catch-up and it still cuts out randomly. It got so bad today it couldn't get through a single song without cutting out multiple times. They still haven't done anything about it despite every review mentioning it, it's a real shame. And just repling with the customer service email isn't helpful! Just fix the app

Just had to delete and reinstall again. Fed up of it cutting out every 5-10mins. Irritating when you miss key parts of jokes or interviews. It also skips like a stratched cd during songs. WFH and have a very strong Internet connection so I know that isn't the issue.

Infuriating and frustrating. After the update this app cuts out every time my phone closes/locks. I've gone through all the permissions to try and resolve with no luck. So must be something to do with the app/update. Please fix it.

Keeps cutting out unless I constantly look at my phone it seems. Whole point of radio is you don't have to look at your device all the time? It's becoming so irritating I'm turning off more and more.

I love the station and the podcasts but the app is just terrible. Multiple restarts needed to play shows. Once you get a show playing you can't move onto the next one. Even closing the app and restarting doesn't work then. You need to clear cache. Tldr; Bad app

Needs work! A useful feature, is when I'm listening via Bluetooth in the car, if I stop for any reason, when I restart the car, the show I was listening to continues from when I stopped. Brilliant you may think until after only a few minutes, it jumps back to live radio making it a useless feature. Connection to the interwebs seems sketchy too with random dropouts even though I have full 4G signal.

Playback stops all the time when listening. Never used to do this. It's very annoying. Please fix this issue. My phone is a Samsung S21 Ultra if that makes a difference? I don't have data saver or anything enabled and I have a strong 5G connection.

I Love listening to radio x but the recent update has ruined the app completely it goes off while listening to live radio then wont come back on without a manual restart. It's so frustrating I cant bear it any longer I'm going to stop listening if it doesn't get sorted soon

Works great for a while then demands you sign in, doesn't work so great then. Keeps stopping a few seconds after screen turned off and can't find any settings to change it

Edit: the app is still awful. Still. So many issues with this app, where to start? The app tells me I'm not connected to the internet, sound just stops mid playback and will only be resolved by restarting my phone. Sometimes the sound stops and then just keeps making weird static sounds every now and then because I can't actually turn it off unless I restart my phone. This morning neither the LBC or the Radio X app would play so I've reinstalled AGAIN. Honestly, please sort them out!

When listening to Radio X on catch up it just cuts out. Sometimes shutting down and reloading helps, other times I get told I've no Internet connection. Every other thing connected to the Internet works. It's just constant bugs ruining the experience. I've seen from past posts that global ask you to visit their website for further help. Why not just fix the problems. I'm missing out on important Moylsey time.

Continuously cuts out. I had this issue with this app a while ago and uninstalled. Shame it's still poor. It isn't my connection as other streaming services work fine (like Spotify)

Used to be a good app, but not anymore. Cuts out most times when listening on catch up,you have to keep restarting or pause then play....even when you have downloaded. Sometimes cuts out every minute or so. At first thought it was my phone (samsung fe20)or wifi but have seen other reviews the same.....very annoying,needs fixing!!

Like all reviews lately I'm having the same problems. Uninstall, reinstalled now when I want to catch up on Chris Moyles show it constantly says queued. Gone from being a great app to aaaaargh.

Still happening! Bought a new OPPO Find X3 Lite. Still asking me to sign in periodically. I use my saved password. It ALWAYS says it's incorrect so I have to reset it. I reset it to the same saved password and it then works. Frustrating and ridiculous.

Use to be a great app. Now have to use sonos app to play ae this app glitches or stops completely after 10 seconds. Poor.

Since recent updates. App continually stops at random points. It's made the app unusable.

I like the radio x app, been using it for a few years now. But over the last few weeks, if I pause the radio I can't unpause without the app crashing & I have to restart the app. This never use to happen. This app is getting worse

Absolutely fantastic, The Chris Moyles Show love it. John Kennedy always give a cool insight to new and avant-garde musicians. Toby Tarrant never disappoints. Johnny Vaughan 4 to 7 thang awesome. Radio X is so much fun, gives the world a fun and unique look at the UK. Thank you from across the pond for such a powerful app.

App had been fine before most recent update but now audio cuts out sporadically no matter if I'm using WiFi at home or 5G out and about

Constantly stopping requiring you to go into the app and restart the audio feed. Going back to RadioPlayer which is far more reliable.
