Rafter estimator for roofing with drawing

The app is brilliant when it decides to work , but the endless ads popping up all the time whilst trying to calculate is really frustrating.

The app makes you look like a pro! As first-time builders of a greenhouse in the back yard, we used the Rafter Estimator to accurately design and determine the optimal angles, rise and run, board lengths, and bird nest cuts for function, sturdiness, and looks. We built 7 identical rafters and they all aligned perfectly. The app was helpful in creating different results quickly so we could compare different roof angles for choosing the optimal configiration for water and snow runoff.

Brilliant, thanks so straight forward to use. 1 update, I still love this app for planning my pent shed roof. 1 negative feedback point if I turn my phone from portrait to landscape all the info I inputed deletes. Not the end of the world but a bit of a pain.

Great. It would be nice if you could keep the rafter size for re use. If you could make the display font size bigger. Use a comma as a thousand deliminator when using mm. Flash the screen to show the calculation has been done. Thanks.

Very simple. Gives you exactly what you need to make your rafters based on thickness of wood and length of wall and angle and easy to screenshot and print for kit projects I make for the backyard

Outstanding app. I always had problems with rafters but this app makes it so east with calculations and visual images. I give the developers 2 big thumbs way up guy Ty.... 👍👍

Another app that doesn't deduct the ridge thickness out of the rafter length. It also doesn't get the height right for the ridge as depending on ridge thickness u need to come down maybe 25mm for say a 45mm ridge (45° pitch roof) to get a true measurement. The rafter length has to be shorter if the flat part of the ridge isn't quite at the peak. The app takes the measurement to the very peak of the roof. Ok for back to back rafters with no ridge or to find overall height of roof.

Trash app design. Basic bare Bones app. Has potential to grow. seemingly just because there's nothing there to begin with.

I'm about to build my first roof (8x10 shed) and this app rocks! No option to buy the full version, no ads, unfortunately.

Really good app for a DIY man, I'd like to get an option for a hip cut, but other than that, great app!!! Thanks

Very simple and straightforward. If you have problems just refer to the sample.

App is pretty good. Does get you a rafter but for me i would rather input pitch of roof ie: 4-12 instead of angle

Great app for either quick reference is seeing if roof pitches will go under Windows or fully hand cutting roofs great little tool

It would be nice to have an option to input the pitch as 4/12 rather than in degrees

Works really well and very easy to use, saves alot of drawing out

After inputting a few variables, a game (with sound) started, and I could not stop it. Uninstalled.

As in 3D, it is cool coz it gives you a 360 rotation to see all angles.

For me, a beginner, this app is very intuitive. Best I have found so far. Thanks a lot guys.

Does the expected trick so far , I wish it could calculate the hip as well.

This is a good app but would be a lot better be if it could include hips rafters

It only does straight rafters. No valleys, hips etc.

Helps me to understand some carpentry works and techniques..

It would be better with hip rafter lengths too.
