Rain Rain Sleep Sounds

Love it but the iOS version has better features like "softening" the sound, and it has more sounds, and it gives you a "free sound of the day". Android version feels outdated. Also, there's no way to delete individual downloaded sounds, I want to delete individual sounds but I can't (especially since I have limited storage space). And lastly, I wished the sounds were longer length as they sometimes sound repetitive with little variation. Also, I can't move the app to SD card storage.

I never knew the sound of rain could all but cure insomnia! There is such a variety of sound options even in the free version of this app, and the rain sounds really help me get to sleep when I've got busy head. I love the fact that it's got a timer as well, so you can set it to go for a certain amount of time and then it shuts itself off. Or you can leave it going all night. It's a great app!

Perfect for helping with sleep, which is why I tracked it down. You can save sounds as "favorites" in groups of three. It functions on microtransactions, as many apps do, but there's a lot of free sounds to start. And it won't stop playing if you open an e-book to read.

I've been using this app for something like 10 years. It used to be free with some ads. Now, almost half the sounds are $4/month. It's ridiculous to charge that much when I can watch a YouTube video instead. I'd be happy to buy the app for $10 and call it a day. But the dev keeps taking free sounds and making them premium. I used to tell everyone about this app, but I'm not going to anymore.

Even though developer states that the sounds will only turn off even I turn them off, this is still not the case for me or my wife. The sounds are great quality but I can't give this 5 stars due to problems persisting that the developer says have been fixed. Not getting full nights of sleep when I have to wake up to turn the sounds back on. Love having a bright phone screen in my face at 3 am...

As a previous iPhone user I am disappointed to see that the app that I loved on my iPhone isn't the same on Android. There is no option to soften the individual sounds or oscillate them like there is on the iPhone and that was a huge reason why I fell in love with this app originally. You really could customise the sounds and create the perfect mix. I have saved my mix to favourites as everytime I reopen the app I have to select the sounds and mix them all over again too which I am not sure why.

I used this app on ios and was disappointed that my purchases didn't transfer to this version. The subscription model doesn't make sense for this, so I've stuck with the basics and it's fine. I like the selection compared to similar apps. Sound quality is high and loops don't noticeably repeat. The option to mix sounds and save favorite combinations is the main reason I've stuck with this. The subscription model and a few glitches that have been present for years are my only complaints

This app is the only way I can fall asleep. I 've used this every night for over a year & falling asleep hasn't been an issue. If I'm having trouble sleeping to one sound, I choose a different one. I don't have the paid version & it's still enough for me. Be warned, switch up your sounds or your mind will become accustomed to being sleepy during those sounds. So rain in the winter & fire log in the summer as my go to's.

Happy with this free app! I had been using a similar one and that one started to go haywire, going between sounds (so I'd go to sleep to the sound of rain & wake up in the night because it had switched to a busy cafe and then whales!) and this app thankfully doesn't do that. The sound lasts all night, without commercial interruptions.

I love this app. I can select different sounds and play them together like crackling fire with ocean waves or rain on a tent and thunder crackling. I used it and slept a full night's sleep. I also like that they have great free features instead of advertising a bunch of sounds and only giving you one or two if you choose not to pay. This is a great app and I'll be using it every night.

Love that I can stack the sounds, WHILE controlling/blending each sound separately. Creating custom sound combos I can save in favorites. Example: "Ocean Waves" volume set at 50%, "Mississippi at Night" set to 60% and "Train" at 80% The free sounds are pretty good; though I do really like many of the premium sounds. I'll likely pull the trigger, with premium; for new combos. This app has helped me with relentless insomnia. SooOOoOoo much better than the YouTube rain loops I previously used.

I love the sound options, and that you can mix sounds to your liking. sleep timer is a must. Some apps don't have that option. So thanks for that. But I have to delete the app after every use and reload it in order for it to play each night. For some reason, it freezes on "original rain" and will not allow to use any other sound. I like the app so I do it pretty well every damn day. But I'd love to stop having to do that. I'd like it just to work without uninstalling and reinstalling daily.

I've used this app for years and can't speak highly enough of it. It's free, full featured, with no annoying ads (win/win/win). It includes many free sounds, with the option to purchase even more. The sounds are high quality, very realistic, and the app allows you to make a mix of ones you like with independent volume control. The mix feature appeared to have dissapeared in a recent update and after emailing the developer, I received an email response and fix inside 24hrs. Amazing, thank you!

I recently switched over from iOS. I've been using a rain noise app on my phone to sleep for 10 years. That app had never really failed me. I found this one to be a decent replacement at first, but too often it randomly crashes in the middle of the night. This causes me to wake up suddenly every time. I've had to return to using my old phone just to sleep consistently at night. Which is not an ideal situation. Please fix the random crashes.

Rain Rain is my number one choice when it comes to creating the perfect atmosphere. It plays over your music and over YouTube, and has individual volume controls for each sound. Mixing sounds together really helps to make that atmosphere more dynamic. I use it when I'm having a hard time falling asleep. It's not draining on the battery and doesn't have any voiced advertisements so you don't have to worry about being scared awake by commercials in the middle of the night. It's perfect really.

I use the free version and it is both awesome and irritating. This review is being written specifically because the app keeps prompting a review. In the middle of play. In the middle of the "night." This basically turns off my app while I am sleeping, which is awful because I work nights and need the background noise to help stay asleep. It also sometimes randomly freezes on one sound when trying to set it up, but a quick close/reopen helps that. Otherwise great, but one major flaw to look past.

Good app, great sounds, I would like to be able to purchase sounds outright. It's a silly thing to subscribe to, unless you have more money then you know what to do with. There are plenty of other apps that do the same thing without locking sounds. I can handle ads, but purchasing sounds or worse, subscribing? No. But it is otherwise a nice app.

I absolutely love this app. I have used it a few years now and it helps with my anxiety and sleep issues. Within minutes of being on, I am passed out and finally can get some restful sleep. Its great that you can create your own mix of favorite sounds. Since creating the premium version, I do feel some of the regular options a little limited. But for free, I feel like you get a lot of choices, esp with mixes, and a great product.

The app is a little buggy, but the ability to mix sounds and make a soundscape comforting to you personally is fantastic. Sounds like birds, water or civilization give very different cues, depending on where you grew up or the time of day when you need background noise. The quality of the individual sound samples is also great! I look forward to future releases.

I have loved this app for years, and would give it 5 stars except for the monthly/yearly cost, rather than a one time purchase. Even being able to purchase the individual sounds you wish to use would be nice. But no way am I paying $30 a year. Thats way over priced when you consider there are many many other sound apps available at a much lower price. And since I can't access the sounds I want on here without paying a yearly fee, I will be looking for a new app. Makes me sad, but its too much $.

Use it every night. I like the sleep timer for when I actually want it to shut off eventually. More often than not, I play it all night to cover the noises in the house & outside so I can sleep better. It can play all night even when my battery is only at like 30% charge, so I don't think it takes much power. It can play over other apps, which I think would be helpful if you also used a visual app for meditation or relaxation.

This app has failed to fulfill it's primary goal and purpose. What good is a app designed for those who need and want sleep? If they are left frustrated each time they use the app. The number of reoccurring ads is enough by itself, but the ones that block the functionality of the app are definitely the worst. The app does not work smoothly and when you encounter a full page ad more likely than not you will need to start the process all over again and again. The ultimate lnsult is the price!!

I use this app every night for rain sounds. I really like it; I have the free version. You can put different sounds together, up to three. My only problem is that there aren't many options. There's 9 rain audios, 5 thunderstorm audios, and other types as well. Although it is a lot for free, just wish there were more. You can get more if you purchase the premium though.

This is a fantastic app! I've used it for quite some time and never had any issues. The sound is perfect (especially playing in the bakcground), there are loads of options of sounds to choose from and I love how you can customise your favourites and tweak the sounds of each of them accordingly. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

this app would be a five star that I would never shut up about it wasn't so incredibly broken. the concept is fantastic, make you own rain and other noises, easy layout, great choice of sounds for free, and you get to keep youre faves! now you have the problem of the glitches. last night alone the app died 4 times during the night, every now and again I'll loose faves, let's not talk about the app not letting you skip the feedback. good app but need some structural improvement

This app helps me get to sleep at night, and I've been using it for several years now. That being said, I do have some problems with it. It used to be that, when I stopped the audio in the morning, I could easily just play it again that same evening. Now, for some reason, the groups of audio I've favorited won't play unless I forcefully X out of, and reopen, the app. I do have some other issues, but they're very minor. It really is great overall, just a little buggy.
