Rainbow for DJI Mavic / Phantom / Inspire / Spark

This is a great app for the DJI mini 2, it's the first app I've found that will carry out an automated grid mission on the mini 2 but unfortunately when the trial ended an I purchased the pro version and found this feature wasn't available. I set up a mission to fly over my home taking photos at interval, downloaded the photos to Agisoft Metashape stiched the photos together and was very happy with the result. Hopefully they'll include this feature with the pro version.

I had high hopes. Too inconsistent for me to trust my Mini. 2 with. Using a Pixel 6 non-pro on Android 12. The 5 waypoints and 1 POI set up no issue. It flew to WP1 and turned towards POI1 as instructed and refused to go to WP2. Had to cancel three missions due to this. At steady 30' hover the called out altitude varied +/- 6 meters. The follow me mode froze the camera feed and app display then began twitching the motors as it hovered. Canceled that as well and manually landed. Nope!

Just payed for the pro version and get no video feed what so ever...mini se and pixel 6..use to use the dji fly with no issues on my pixel xl but had to upgrade phones and haven't found an app yet to work well..this had promise till the video issues..

Its really good and comes with contrast/saturation customization for my mini2 while shooting video but I cant shoot raw photos. I dont know if its a problem of the app, the drone or its because I have the test version of the app

Eveytime I try to use this app it makes my phone flip out and it opens and just closes or freezes I don't even get to connect my drone before it's freaking out and stops working! It would be really great if you guys could fix the problems with Android I just got this drone and I really want to use it but this app is not working great app but you really need to fix all the bugs

Awful app. Part of gui in English, part in some other language (suspect Chinese). I select method of flying = remote control as opposed to way points, and start flight sequence, and it still has 2 way points. I start the dron and it flies off without listening to me. Before flying set the ending action = return home, but when I opened that menu again, it was a different thing. I ha e managed to return the dron eventually, but this is the best app to lose your dron.

Today I used this app for the very first time and it was easy to learn and explore this app. My Mini 2 worked perfectly with it. I was able to capture some stunning shots. Gave it 4 stars just because we can use only 5 times. I wanted to try a bit more before making a purchase.

well, seeing that DJI now made Mavic Mini discontinued (i only bought it brand new LAST boxing day sale) and i changed phones, and lost my Fly App, and its no longer in the play store. I REFUSE to get iphone, so i had to download this one It worked fine EXCEPT you can only "try it" for a few times then have to buy it / month OR buy it outright. I feel shafted by DJI and Rainbow. Don't get me wrong, this is pretty good, but some of the features don't work on the Mavic Mini (follow me) if you dont want to pay for full version, maybe look for another

Just a message for Fatcat towing or anyone else who doesn't know the dji app is no longer available in the app store you need to go to the dji download centre and you will see all the apps available including dji fly just Google dji download centre

I'm new. Have yet to get my aircraft in the air, but this is the only app I found so far that works with my phone and aircraft. All I need to do now is "somehow get this thing authorized or something."

I think only 2 free flights is way too little to know the program well enough for a decision to buy. Please increase to at least 5 free flights. 2 is silly, because the first try is prepare at home, then only 1 real flight left!

OMG unbelievable! I just tried it on my dji mini 2, it works amazing! I did a preprogramed autonomous route and it performed amazingly well. It took pictures where I wanted and kept the camera pointed flawlessly. Just turned my drone into a 2,000$ drone for 14$.

I have the mini and the mini 2. I used this with the mini 2. On my second flight with the free version it was very sluggish in responding to controls. Also it did not register the height, or distance from me. It is very unnerving when you have a drone hovering in the air and it does not respond when you attempt to move it or bring it down! Will this start working properly if I pay for the program? I really do want this to work. What is the difference between the yearly fee (14.99), and the $24 version? I would love to support this app, but I need it to work for me. My phone is a newer Moto G7.

Unfortunately will not connect with my manic mini. They still have have some work to do. I just get a black screen and says disconnected. Update; got it to connect! But i don't think it's for right for me. No sport mode is a deal breaker for me, if i am flying and the wind picks up i want to be able to get my drone back or at least have a better chance aft getting it back. Other wise its a good alternative to goapp!

WOW the maps are crisp and recent.l think I will buy the full version after the 3 free flight I have left. But so far,it gave me a wind warning at about 50 meters up, that's a good sign to me ✌️

It really worked well for my magic mini, just that a few functions were missing. But I would have still given them a 5 star but let me reserve the last star just incase.

So far I'm really digging it. Thank goodness because the dji fly app is no longer in the app store, so this is a God send. It definitely takes some getting used to. I wish the default flight mode was FPV, it was throwing me off starting with the waypoint setting and flying straight up in the air. It's not perfect but so far it's actually pretty good! Hope they keep updating it they better since I spent money on it lol

Tried the 3 free flights it gave me. I said it to follow me at first, it followed me but backwards. Everything was calibrated correctly. Then it just started flying out of control, did emergency landing. Tried it in fpv the second time around, it changed itself back to follow me. Then it ran into a solid object really fast. Check settings, it went back to follow me. Changed again, backed out went back in to confirm. Erratic flying again had to catch before it hit something. Galaxy s21 ultra.

*Mavic Mini* !!!Be aware!!! I subscribed, paid the $15 to support the developer. The app is not there yet. Waypoint is the only thing that is working for me, but I don't like the idea that I dont have control of the aircraft while its on a mission (really scary), it should stop any mission as soon as you push a button on the controller. Very scary!!! Be aware!

So far so good It seems to work fine on my LG phone. I've only try it for 10min. Will see once i have a full battery.

RTH shwos error "Execution to this has timed out" this happened at night while the drone was flying at hieght of 250 M, I almost lost it due to this stupid app. Its still not fixed at all. Worst part is that there is no suppprt available for Rainbow App.

The settings I enter won't stick. I want to hear/ read speed and altitude in feet but only tells me in meters. This concerns me because if that doesn't work then what about other settings like compass etc. Anyone know how to fix this? I sent Rainbow ab email but they haven't gotten back to me. And I PAID for this.

Only gives you a certain amount of flights before you need to buy the full version... Plus it doesn't have older drones... It looks a lot like the DJI app when it comes to flying anything DJI... makes me wonder if this app is just a transparent shell over the original app... dont get it!!! It's a waste of your time and money if you go to buy it... Good luck and keep flying...

Great app. DJI discontinued the dji fly app for the mini 1. So, I used this app and its great. Recommend 👍👍

It's good but a bit buggy and more expensive to buy outright than more established alternatives.
