This is an incredibly great service. It is a very direct competitor to Evernote but with a very great Niche - It's not a complex pain to use. I am very picky, and I do use Evernote to store things. Raindrop is a cloud-based Bookmark manager but with some of the features of Evernote, but none of the extra garbage that Evernote entails. They have fantastic support cross-platform (iOS/Android/Web/Windows/Mac/etc), and it has been a *dream* to use. Really thankful I found it because it has already been making my life easier... which I think is what we all need right now. I want to extend a big thanks to the developers (as I am one too), for your incredible work. I love using your tool and I appreciate your hard work. It shows.
I have 2 issues with this otherwise great app. 1- There's no native mobile view for saved articles, only web version which isn't even opening it in my browser of choice. When will it be available to read articles natively in the mobile app just like in the desktop app? 2- this is in regards to the desktop app. When I open articles or videos from original source on the web it opens 2 or 3 tabs simultaneously with the same link on my opera browser on Windows. Hope you can solve this next update.
Love this app. Few issues experience related: 1. Moodboard is ineffective. 2. Loads slowly. Need an option to disable animation. 3. Thumbnail squeezing needs more accomodation. 3 pieces side by side. 4. Image, video, highlights not shown.
Amazing Application. My Web Browser is no longer slow coz I drop that Raindrop app on all tabs and save them based on the projects. My browser is no longer clogged, which means I am using less internet 😎 and I can access the sites on mobile through this App.
10/10! I wanted to find a way to store my favorite tiktoks for the longest time and sort them in a way that I can actually find and use them and this app is it! The functionality is incredible and it's very user friendly with cute icons for your folders. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as some similar apps (like Pocket for example which is very on brand for what it does), but, this app knocks it out of the park in every other category. App of the year for me!
Where has this app been all my life? I don't need a simple "read later" type app. I do a lot of online research so I needed something that can save and index a page for search. Raindrop does that. Now, instead of keeping lots of tabs open because I'm worried I won't be able to find a page I need later, I can save them to Raindrop & close the tabs knowing I can always find it later.
Update 3/17/22 - sign on issue fixed. Terrific app on all devices. Signed out permanently - worked great for a month. Now I'm signed out and cannot sign back in (Google account). Looks like this issue is present for others as well. Please fix... App was awesome!
Pretty good app. It's faster now. One issue is that you cant edit a folder's name or icon if the name is too long. The gear icon disappears if the name is long.
After I published my review, raindrop team replied with "fixed in new update" and I still can't use the app without a vpn. And that is just when I use my Galaxy A52. No problems when using Huawei p10 lite.
Great multiplatform bookmark manager, interface is clean, easy to organize. No complains whatsoever.
Has great potential, but driving me insane. Categories are CONSTANTLY reorganizing themselves, in no particular order by the way. I spend 10 minutes manually reorganizing, and then it happens again as I am doing so or as soon as I save a new bookmark. PLEASE FIX
Crashed halfway into registering with my Google account three times in a row, while still securing some access to my acvount. Very shady.
There is no option to take notes...It is important to me. Great app...but missing the notes part...
Nested folders could be free. I understand that infrastructure have to be paid, but nested folders add no extra cost (In comparison to file saving which is free) Nested collections are unusable, due to how ui is designed, it fits 5 level max, and even then you will only see end part of last level name, beginning will be truncated. Shows only 2 line of bookmark name, everything else is truncated.
It's a really good app, but i wish it gets transformed into adding more features so it serves as a one stop shop for anything a user has related to web. Eg: i find myself saving useful articles/websites. But I also would like the ability to highlight/annotate while in reading and for this, I'm forced to use another app. If the app had an ability to also save all my highlights on an article, i think it would remove the want of using another app and would definitely appeal to wider audience.
Really useful app thank you, nearly perfect but most recent update seems to have slowed it down slightly. I would love to just be able to bookmark quickly so are you able to consider these 2 features: 1. Allow me to set a default bookmark folder. As soon as I share to raindrop, just let me save it there without needing to click on a collection. 2. After I've saved, let me get back to what I'm doing. Don't make me click on that red notification bar to dismiss it.. Other than that, awesome app!
I use it as a read later service. Raindrop is awesome for this kind of job. Organizing folders and bookmarks are easy, UI is clean, minimal and consistent. There are some rare content display issues on reader pane, but I guess these are partly source related. 1 minor animation issue on Android bothers me just a little bit. Some other time I'll report it to developers. None of the small issues you may come across would worth giving it a bad score, but also there are always some room for improvement. Anyways, overall great free service and nicely working set of plugins and apps. Not paywalling useful features alone would worth 5 stars.
The app is beautiful. Although it has some problems like for example the start screen freezes on the android version ocasionally, it can't be compared to Pocket functionality wise. I can easily organize my links here because of the dual folder/tag structure and easily access them afterwards. Getting to my tags in pocket was not straightforward and you can' add icons like you can here (to the folders). The Chrome extension is very good also because you can move links from a folder to another using drag and drop
Bought Pro version a day after discovering this app so I can search my bookmarks fully. Been waiting for a feature like this since I was born. Save me so much time but would like a one-time fee for Pro. Am finding it hard to figure out how to use app though. No idea what the buttons with icon pics (no text) mean, such as when you click "Multiselect" under "Bookmarks". Need more user friendly in-app help. Also, I connected it to IFTTT but nothing happens when I run the applet.
Guys there's something wrong with the update I guess!! It signed me out of my app. I'm able to use it on browser of my phone and I'm using it in my laptop too!! But the whole advantage you guys had was it available on both! And this isn't done isolated incident Many are facing the same Issue I know there are some issues and you guys are working on it! But Please look into this at the fast!! It's affecting our work.... Thanks for the app I'll update my rating once this bug is fixed!!
One of the best apps out there to organise the internet mess. One feature I'm missing and would in my opinion make this app complete would be to add notes/photos to an existing bookmark. What I mean is: let's say I've saved an article (link) and want to make some notes about the article or attach a relevant photo within the bookmark (let's say a screenshot from the important part).
Thank you so much developers 😊🥰. Just one quick but MAJOR suggestion:. please give an option to choose a collection to save by default so that the full screen menu to choose collections doesn't open instead only the small menu in bottom edge would be shown everytime something is bookmarked. The full screen pop up is really annoying, almost deal breaking kind of annoying.
Hello Love the App, just curious Is there a DeadLink Scanner built-in into Raindrop, I thought there was before, or maybe I am thinking of a different App?
Limiting such a basic feature as nested collections to pro accounts is crazy, especially when there's no basic tier of sorts offering just that for a smaller fee.
Originally wrote a bad review for Raindrop (probably felt so strongly about mess-up because it's my favorite bookmark app to date), but found out through trial and error that the fault lay in another app. I have since resolved that issue and feel comfortable giving this app two thumbs up! Love this app! I mostly use it on mobile and occasionally on tablet and desktop.
Don't know why it's rated so low. Those reviews even made me reluctant to download this app. I am pleasantly surprised how good this app is even on mobile. This app has no replacement as far as I know. Also, it's beautiful, smooth, provides previews, tag system, categorises using collections and syncs across devices. All of these features together make for a very delightful experience.
