My all stopped working entirely a few or so ago. I tried to email the developer but their email address only accepts emails from their own domain. So I emailed Rainsoft customer service. Apparently the server is down for maintenance with no eta. While this is somewhat understandable they should have the developer update the app page and the app to provide this information. Other than that it's a decent app that allows me to check on my water softener without phuscially going to the unit. Nice!

I've lost track of how many times I've tried to get this application to work over the last year; The app never moves beyond "registering account". I've uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted and re-added the device two dozen times and it always hangs on registering account. Compound this experience with having my first EC5 replaced one week after installation because of mechanical failure causing 7000 gallons of water to dump out; neither the old or the new EC5 will connect to this app. Terrible application navigation - not intuitive or easy to use at all. My physical EC5 shows on my network, but this application won't work with it.

I followed the instructions in the app and it initially connected. As I was trying to look at the settings through the app, it disconnected. I repeated the process several times with the same result. It is putting out a signal, but disconnects when I try to do anything further. I am using an Note 8 phone with Orbi router. Not "intuitive" or user friendly.

Same as all the other reviews. It won't connect. When it does, it disconnects and can't reconnect anymore. App UI is terrible. Don't waste your time thinking you can troubleshoot it. Many have tried, many have failed. In my opinion, app needs to be re-written and beta tested before release. Don't bother downloading. Shame on you Rainsoft.

This app has been a pain. It worked fine for a while (after a very painful set up). At the start of last week it showed "system disconnected". Came back on two days later. Has been showing "system disconnected" ever since. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Nothing has changed. Tried to reconnect. Nothing! Followed the trouble shooting guide to the 'T'. Still nothing changed. I am still getting the message "System Disconnected". What's going on?

It is frustrating how you guys screw up on an application that even originally does not do any significant thing. Thought my system and/or network were faulty but after reading other's recent feedback, just realized all have similar problems after an app. upgrade. In my case, it does not connect in the "last mile" of the process sending an error message that says: "Alert, there was en error retrieving device ID from the Remind database" Please advise if/when you fix to at least save face 😔.

UPDATE: Worked with tech support which was good. Took about a week to get system back synced to the app. Basically have to remove everything from app and add system. Unfortunately this took several tries over several days as each time you add the system, you have to wait (24hrs). Now carbon filter also shows. Killed my system access!!! New app version shows 2 homes and NO SYSTEM!!! System shows it's registered and online, but where?!? No longer in the app. PLEASE FIX!!!

Update: This app is still trash. It disconnected and won't let me reconnect. Keeps saying it cannot find an id. I've seen better apps come from high school kids. The app still won't connect. Even though the developer claims the app has been fixed with the most recent update, it's still not working on my end. I watched my unit switch from Mobile App Connect yes to no instantly while still in the app.

Like others have stated there are issues with creating an account on this app. The region picklist did not show up for me the first time but after backing out and selecting the create a new account option a couple times the region picklist allowed me to select my state. However once you get to the end it will not allow you to proceed due to a region error. Disappointing!

Same as all the other reviews - app doesn't work. I was able to get my system connected to the WiFi and a Home created but after registration was complete selecting Home does nothing. Pure garbage. My toddler could do a better job. Update: reinstalled app, promptly tells me incorrect password which is bs.

I have sent an e-mail regarding my problem and will update my rating if it gets resolved. My email: Good morning. I've made several attempts at creating my account for my rainsoft remind app. I've done this on two separate Android devices. Neither of which have I been successful. After I fill out the required information and select create account approximately one minute later I get a message. That message says "error creating account".

Downloaded and was quickly able to connect. Is functioning correctly as far as a new user would expect. 3 hours later and I'm giving the app a one star as 24 hours after a quick connect I've been disconnected and will not reconnect after several tries. Shows registration failed. Looks like this app is the biggest fail.

App setup issue / flaw. Once you get to the create an account, it requres you to put in a region. When you select the region for the drop down menu, the list is blank. If you select the only option, a blank title (cant unselect it), hit okay.... you keep getting the same error to select region. Can not create the account in app. I'll try to find another way, but they need to fix that in app issue. Reading other reviews it seems to be an ongoing issue.

Finally got the app working 5 days ago. My EC5 actually died on me after a year because the installer connected it to the old transformer which fried the board. Once the board and transformer were replaced, everything was great. I did a remote regen which I was not able to do before. For 2 days, I can see the stats in the app get updated in real-time. The 3rd day, the app shows no device and no location. Been like that 4 days now. Developer contact email doesn't work. C'mon now Aquion, fix this.

I can't believe how horrible this product is. After spending thousands on a water system I cannot get the app to communicate properly and consistently. Is my experience matches all of the one star reviews. I am absolutely stunned that the developers haven't started over to create a better product. I would never recommend this product, do yourself the favor and don't waste your time.

Horrible app... Like all the other reviews, app constantly disconnects and won't reset.... App then randomly reconnects whenever it feels like it long after I've given up trying to reconnect it. With all the bad reviews you'd think that they would do something about it.

After spending extra money on the system for wifi access, I found it difficult to connect the app to the system. It appears that was luckier than most because I was able to get it to work but, all of a sudden today, when I open the app, I just get a white screen. I reset the phone. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It is still not fixed. I do not know what to do or who to call.

Horrible app, won't connect with my unit, shows several phantom unnamed devices attached to my profile, cannot delete profile & start over. Zero customer service apparent. I spend this much money on a system and can't get the basic app that monitors it to work

worst app ever, wont connect to wifi after enabling app connect and connecting. closes ec5 connection and then reverts back to app connect no and shows registration stuck in pending! Wasted 30 minutes. Do not recommend Smart system!!! Using 2G wifi connection does not fix. Update: I did update the app, but it still does not work. Do I need to call for warranty service????

This system will not connect with my phone...it gets to the part it is supposed to connect and it stops on "pending" and it won't go any further. This needs to be fixed..that's what we paid for with this Rainsoft Remind!!

Cannot get the app to work. Uninstalled and installed the App 3 times but will not connect to my Spectrum WIFI. Guess I will leave it alone and keep track of my system on the units screen. Nice try Rainsoft , but you need some more work on your wifi system connectivity...

The app can not read or verify which SSID my phone (Pixel 1XL Android version 9) is connected to during setup. When I connect to the EC5's wifi SSID from my wifi settings this app never progresses to the next steps of the setup. It displays the following "error - could not determine SSID". The EC5 is definitely broadcasting and the phone is connected. App doesn't work.

Having the same issues as most here, the app is unable to conect to my router (SSID). Won't delete it for now in hopes of an update that will fix it, but looks likebthis issue has been going on for several months now.

March 31 app update gone bad. I was having issues connecting my EC5 to my network. Received an error message at the end stating there was an issue retrieving the device ID from the database. After updating in March 31, app no longer opened and crashed at launch rendering it useless. April 1st update now allows app to load but cannot connect EC5 to network. Error message "Write fields returned an error. 0 : Unkown error". No help available in troubleshooting guide.

Having the same issues that many individuals are having; after following directions, I am getting the following message "error - can not determine ssid". Hopefully the apps gets an update to get rid of this problem. Very disappointing". Company should insure that app works before releasing it to the public.

Crashes instantly on Google Pixel 3 XL. Can't load app to access newly installed system. Update 4/6/2020 - app loads, but will not connect to EC5. I get an error every time I try to connect WiFi - Write fields returned an error: 0: Unknown error App still not usable.

This app feels really outdated and doesn't display the information that it says it should have when I click on the table it is just simply delayed I think you guys should invest on upgrading this app or fixing it. Just as us the consumers are investigating in your water.
