Rainy Mood

I'm really disappointed that the pro version of the app doesn't have these 2 basic features: First; You should allow pausing the sound in the notification bar, so that I don't need to open the app everytime I want to pause it, Second; If possible, why not add an option to stop the sound if another sound plays so that when I'm opening another sound I can hear it alone.

I used to love this app and all it's features, but my phone just had an update, and now the app isn't working properly. If I pause it, I can't just hit play. I have to close and relaunch the app. More importantly, it doesn't keep playing in the background if I launch YouTube music. Very disappointing. I hope an update is released soon to remedy this.

I like the different rainy scenes, however, it feels as though it's lacking a number of features for a paid app. For one, there is no way to save mixes of sounds as a preset. Consequently, when opening the app you have to tune the volume of each sound over again. If I were studying, it would be nice I could simply tap a saved profile named "study" and get right back into where I had it. Also, maybe a custom option where you could mix the various scene sounds together.

I love this app, it's incredibly calming and helps me sleep on the rare occasions when I struggle. The only problem I have with this app is that the sound will randomly increase and decrease and I really wish that will be fixed, not a fan of the extremely loud rain and when it decreases I always turn it up just for it to be way too loud in a few moments time. It'd be great if it got fixed.

Fantastic app. I added a Bluetooth receiver to my home stereo system just to be able to use this for napping on the couch! It's great to be able to individually adjust the volume of the rain, thunder, and ambient sounds such as birds. It's also nice to have a variety of choices for the locale (ocean, cafe, etc.). The sound is excellent quality in every way, and I've never been able to notice loop splicing. Highly recommended!

The best and oldest rain app out there. Love them. I need to sleep with a fan on. On nights I can't do that (sleeping elsewhere) I use this. It sends me off within minutes. The app is better than the website as you can control the rain, thunder and birds independently of one another. It also has other neat settings such as a cruise ship, coffee bar etc. I can't recommend it more.

Even though it's been over a year since it's been updated, Rainy Mood is still one of the best out there. I've been using it for about 6 years. It has the most realistic sounding rain on headphones, though the phone itself or though Bluetooth speakers. You'll actually believe it's raining. I think that's due to their rain patterns are more random and doesn't follow a predictable pattern like other apps.

Most used app in my phone. Absolutely love it. Best I've slept in years since downloading it. Has lots of different options (ocean, rainy day, countryside, cafe - not sure what that one is for) and you can control the elements in each. I can turn off the birds chirping, turn up the surf, have just a little thunder, etc. Very realistic sounds but quality will depend on your speakers too.

I absolutely adore this little app. You can customize your sounds to whatever you find most relaxing / focusing. You can run it in the background no problem. My one dispute was that I couldn't run the app (or some identical version to it) on my computer! Now that I have a chromebook, that's accounted for. :) Great app, 5/5. Well worth a few bucks for those with a rain itch to scratch.

Love this app, though the Cafe sound file has a distinct sound of a man yelling something that draws your attention to it every time he does. Sounds like some kind of Slavic language, I can't make it out, it may just be gibberish. That said, it's very distracting which defeats the point of using this app in the first place. The other files are good. The thunder sounds could use a bit more variation though.

This app is worth every penny! As one who MUST have background noise while sleeping (typicallyTV), I fell in love with Rainy Mood the first night I used it. I had the best night's rest in a LONG time using the free version and woke up the next morning to make my purchase! I LOVE the way sounds can be adjusted to my liking. The only one I have not used is the Cafe - only because I don't find low murmurs relaxing. It may work well for others, though.

Love it. I use it every night. I don't like the sound of birds in my white noise, and this (paid version, SO worth it) app is perfect cause I can adjust the levels of each of the four different parts of each sound. I use the ocean one most often and sometimes the rain part or the shoreline is too loud so I turn it down. Easy peasy. Love it! Also, as a college student, the coffee shop sound is perfect for studying when I can't leave my home!

This app is amazing. It provides exactly what is advertises and a little extra. I have been using their (free) website since college and it's a great background noise generator. I especially love the different scenes, although the cafe is a little too much sound for me (someone who cant study well without the tv might enjoy iy) but the beach and countryside are perfect for me. I'd write more about how great this is, but I'm out of letters! So download it yourself to see how amazing it is.

We have been using this service for years via our web browser. It's so good to have an app now that provides such high quality auditory scenes. One improvement I would love to see is a fade to pause or fade to play setting. Currently the play/pause button abruptly stops the sounds as this button typically does. I would love to have a setting where pressing the play/pause button fades the sounds up or down over a few seconds.

excellent white house app with four different variants. first is just straight up rain sounds (with thunder), second is a country side road with rain (no cars, had thunder and crickets), sea side surf (with seagulls), and a cafe (has cars). all the variants have rain and all the sounds have variable volumes and can be turned off completely to customize the variant to your liking. I have used this app for a number of years but have yet to hear any looping sounds.

Love this app! Have had it for years:) the only thing that I don't like, is an update came out that makes it more natural and fluctuates volume. This makes it harder to sleep with as I can hear other noises when the volume dips. If there would be a feature to turn this option off that would be great. Love it otherwise though:)

Very nice app. I only use the rain simulator though with very low thunder and bird chirp volume (it tends to get distracting if it is too loud). A nice feature to add is maybe a play/pause function in the notifications bar and when the phone is locked (just like all the music apps) - I would like to pause the sound without going into the app.

helpful and effective as pleasant white noise... when it works! it's been giving me trouble by not layering well with YouTube Music. sometimes the controls stop working when other music is playing over the rain sounds, and sometimes it just won't layer at all. please fix this, it used to be so good

Worth every penny.👍The most realistic rain to help you get to sleep... you'll forget it's not even real! I've always needed some kind of background noise to sleep, whether from a fan or sounds from outside (rain, wind)... just something to help break up the monotony of that black void of silence. But every time it would rain, I noticed that I would have the best night sleep! It's also proven that streaming sounds, like ones in this rain app, help you fall asleep faster & stay in REM longer..💤

the app is really goog. But.. only thing I would add one more slide, about adjusting speed of a rain drops and sound value of rain drops. for instance: raindrops sound could be more heavy and aggressive or medium light, or light. with this we can enjoy have storm or lighter one. I think that rain is to light it's sounds like summer daylight rain but I wish that could we ad some heavy hard rain with deeper sounds. that will be great. in addition it will make this app the best app ever ❤

I've been in love with the rainy mood website for years and this app is so much better. You can adjust the volume of thunder, birds, and rain, and there are different types of rain to choose from. There's also a sleep timer! Thanks for helping me study and sleep for so long 💙

I enjoyed the website. so I bought the app. the bonus options are ok... but to make this a 5 star app we need more rain options. like rain on a tin roof. or a wood roof. also many a HD version of the rain it sounds like it was taken indoors. maby a higher quality sound for rain. just sounds a little muffled. but good overall. I just wanted to support the makers.=]

Used to use the website version, tried the free version of this app first. The free version just has classic which works fine enough. I bought the full version and fell in love with the countryside rain. I wish it had more or different variations of thunder, but it works well for settling my anxiety at night and helping me get to sleep with the help of the sleep timer. I always fall asleep within a 2 hour time window now. Would recommend to anyone who is lulled by rain and thunder for sleep.

I distinctly remember there being a Celtic music option,but I bought the app and now there are no music options. Seems like a step down from the web browser experience.

No longer plays over music in Android 12. Really disappointing, as that was was why I bought it. Edit: hacky but if you play music first, then dismiss the notification in the drag down menu, then start rainymood it will play over without stopping music.

Plays well with other apps, but sometimes gets stuck and needs to be closed in order to be paused. The different settings are very nice and would love to see more in the future! Perhaps rain on a thin roof, fireplace crackles, wind howling etc.

The best feature of this app is the control on the individual sound volumes, such as the rain fall and the thunder. You can even eliminate parts of the mix such as the cricket and birds

does exactly what it says it does, no ads and you can adjust the levels of the different sounds you want, with a nice variety of sounds. After this I am never going back to just looking up sounds on YouTube!
