How do I pay with RaiPay?

The payment with the phone through RaiPay is as simple as a contactless payment
with the card:
• up to 100 lei: turn on the phone screen
• over 100 lei: unlock phone and bring it close to the POS. If you put the phone close to
POS with the screen locked, you have to unlock it and then bring it close to POS again.

For payment security, RaiPay will ask you from time to time to authorize the payment by
entering the application password.

Make sure you have the NFC option enabled when you want to pay by phone. You can see
in the application the list of payments initiated with RaiPay.

The permission required when installing the application access to "Phone Calls" is
needed for the operation of RaiPay to create a secure RaiPay profile between the phone,
the SIM series and the bank's systems. If you change the SIM, the application will ask
you to configure it again.

What do you need to use RaiPay?

RaiPay can be used by Raiffeisen Bank customers who have contactless debit or credit
card, Visa / MasterCard.

To install the application:
• phone with Android operating system, minimum version 5.0 .
• the application does not work on rooted phones.
• the phone must be secured with a screen lock method (PIN, fingerprint, etc.).

For phone payments:
• NFC (Near Field Communication) active on your phone and the app set up as default
payment app on the phone.

The application is available in English and Romanian.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'd say 5 out of 10. Which is bad. It happened multiple times, on multiple places, to get errors while trying to pay... when switching to Google Pay with other cards, always worked flawless. Very disappointed that this seems to be only bank to refuse to integrate GPay and keep having to use theirs, especially since it's kinda hit or miss. The app will be deleted and for now, I'm just gonna go old school and use my physical card.

Some minor connectivity issues when paying at a pos, but worked a second time. The authorization with fingerprint can be improved, in the past I had frequent problems paying while I authorized my fingerprint and would give an error, but now I m using only the phone block

The phone is not recorded as a token by itself so it can't be used without internet access. And it requires app access which also requires internet connection and won't give you access without it. LAME.

After the latest update I had the same problem as other users. My debit card has been removed and I was not allowed to add it again. I uninstalled the application and tried adding my card several times. After 4 days of unsuccessful attempts, I finally got it working... I don't know what happened.

I use the app for almost a year now. With the Samsung s10 I had some issues while using the app, but I have upgraded to s21 and it works perfectly. No more carrying a wallet for me.

It worked fine at first, with only a few minor glitches experienced every now and then. Starting this week, however, paying with the phone is no longer working, as the app displays an error that the device "is offline, go online to pay." Obviously, the Internet connection is working fine. Airplane mode on/off, rebooting the phone, removing and reinstalling the app make no difference.

Simply the best! No issues for the moment. There is one single bug discovered. If you take your phone too fast from the POS terminal, the payment says is done, but the POS doesn't receive any data and the app registers the transaction only in history, but the amount is not taken from the card. I guess is just a visual bug. Would be great if you can add some monthly stats with total money spent.

Easy to setup, use, BUT this should be a key function in Smart Mobile, because it would be nice to be called SMART for a reason. I don't want 4 apps for a single bank, and many other don't like either. Also, it MUST have customizable security features. I want to pay by UNLOCKING my phone for anything, even if it's 3lei. Now anybody could use your phone by waking up the screen. And no, Extended is not user friendly, I don't want for any payment to enter the code when I have a fingerprint sensor.

Great potential, but I tried to attach a Raiffeisen Credit Card and it failed with an error that the bank refused card digitization and the app closed. Then when I tried to start the app again, it kept saying "Grrr! There seems to be a problem. The application was locked due to a security violation". Reinstalling the app helped and now it seems to work fine, but still... can't give it 5☆ due to this, yet.

I am happy to be able to pay with my phone. However, since I've upgraded to android 10, while I pay, the app does no longer appear. The payment goes trough, but it's strange not having a visual confirmation. To reproduce, unlock the phone and pay (not opening the pay app). The payment goes through, but no visual confirmation.

Cool app. I did encounter one issue with it though, when paying in Serbia the transactions screen shows the wrong prices. It shifts the decimal separator two positions to the right and adds two zeroes in their place. For example if it should display 123.45 dinars (as the POS receipts state) it shows 12345,00 dinars. Might not work for other currencies as well, didn't had the chance to try.

stuck in "checking your phone" screen. I see replies from Raiffeisen saying the issue is fixed, but it seems like it isn't. Increasing the rating to two stars as Raiffeisen responded to my review in a timely manner and provided a status on the issue.

Edit: I managed to resolve the issue by reinstalling the app and authenticating the card with the phone number used to communicate with the bank. Used to work decently (sometimes payments were doubled in the app, but not charged on the account), but after the new update it deleted my card info and now it won't let me register it again. It says I have to contact the bank. This app was supposed to help me save time not waste it! Really disappointed.

All was perfect. The last update (I received on 2020-01-20) rendered the application completely not functional for two days - either saying my device doesn't meet the security requirements, mobile payments were not enabled or simply crashing. Then it started working on its own again. It's very sluggish now. Insufficient QA, insufficient testing, bad backend planning at release time is all I can say. This was the second time an update forced me to delete all application data and start over.

Hello I have recently installed the latest version of the RaiPay app and it has removed my card from it and it won't let me to add it back! When I am trying to add my card it displays the following message: "Card digitization failed The card digitization has been refused by your bank. Contact your bank for support" Thanks

App is not working. Tried reinstaling it and still nothing. Keep getting error rpcwallet creation failed and that I should check my internet connection while I'm being on a fast wifi network. Edit: previous issue has been fixed and managed to add card. Today a new issue appeared, when trying to log in i get a different error. This app definitely shouldn't have left testing phase and shouldn't have gotten past QA unless the users are being used as testers.

The update is the most horrible update you could ever make. It crashes all the time, I try to log in and the app stops, I try to clear the cache and it's still the same. You outsmarted yourself this time, because I wish I could go back go back to the old version of this app. Horrible. Do something about this or delete it.

While checking the device, your whole life can past beside you. It does move forward from this screen. Probably it needs for another person to be on the other side to push some buttons, and being weekend there is no one available. Raiffeisen enrole your cards into Google Pay, they know how to do it right

Latest status : the app it's stable and no issues were encountered after daily usage. .......... Wouldn't pass the authentication steps. It stopped at checking your device and from there it just freeze. Update : still same output. Reinstalled the app but still going in that checking loop. Same issues on multiple devices.

After the last update, the default card was showing "Device is offline, go online to pay". The second card available worked ok. I deleted the default card and re-added but after verification procedure fulfilled (SMS, code insertion bla, bla) was showing "Pending verification" status. I have checked with customer support and they confirmed that the card is verified correctly and their records were showing that the card is enrolled, With me, still "Pending verification" Repeated deletion procedure, same result. Then delete everything, clean install, no NFC card reading, adding it with photo scan and... it worked. I remember the same happened at a past update, so please, check things better or instruct your support team to point toward clean install, not toward deleting/adding just for fun. Otherwise useful, but surprises are coming after updates. At least for my phone (Samsung Note 9).

Simple method to pay with the phone. Works most of the time. Had some issues with the app : would not connect with the bank while trying to pay. . However for now it is working. A record of the receipt would make it 5 stars.

Works perfectly fine on a Galaxy S9+. Reacts immediately when you want to pay. I'm ok not having in one app this function as soon as it works properly. Follow the instructions and I'm sure you will not face issues. Do you work maybe with Samsung to start using Samsung pay in Romania? To pay also using a smart watch.
