Raise: Discount Gift Cards

Update: The short purchase window has been fixed, so I'm giving it 5 stars now. Great for saving money, especially on places you go regularly. You won't necessarily save a whole lot on one card, but with regular use, it adds up. The problem is trying to buy cards - when you add one to your cart, you have 12 seconds to add another or complete the transaction - including payment processing time.

This app has saved me hundreds! The new exact pay feature just makes it easier to do something I already do. I just wait for the cashier to say my total, and 20 seconds later I have a gift card for that exact amount. Only suggestion, add another confirmation before the purchase occurs, and while processing for 20 seconds, allow me to cancel if I typed an error. Overall, this app, combined with my 2% cash back on my credit card, makes it easy to save way more money with zero effort.

A very frustrating experience/bug in the app. I purchased a gift card and almost immediately it was ready to use. I used the copy feature in the Raise app to copy the code. However, the card code wouldn't work on the website I was trying to purchase from. I emailed customer service and didn't hear back soon enough so I called and got through. The app omitted part of the code which the Raise website displays the code correctly. Live customer service saved the company from losing a customer.

They charged my card, but there showed errors on the app saying "try another card." But looking at my account, it had already been charged! I tried going to the help section but that was having errors too. Honestly, for 50 cents off, it's not worth it. Not to mention, how you can't choose a specific amount to search. You have to scroll forever to find the amount you want.

Hate it! It was working fine. Changed my password and now, I can't logged back in. Keep telling me my password is incorrect but I'm able to log in on the web browser. Very inconvenient!! Call customer service 2x and was told that everything is working "correctly" on their end. Was asked to uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Did it numerous times, and I'm still not able to log in! Very frustrating because I have alot of giftcards to use!!!

First order went well. Second order was canceled and account was blocked. Called wondering what happened and was told that they had to verify that the card was mine and asked to answer security questions. Somehow using a card with YOUR name on it comes up as fraudulent in their system. Was told that I would get a refund but charge is still showing in my account. All Bad. 👎Buyer Beware.

I have not had a good experience. I tired to purchase a $100 Amazon gift card, but immediately got an email saying my order was cancelled. I tried to contact support, which is not great at all. You have to wait for business hours which are not convenient and after going through a chat, I was told I had to call, had to give out a bunch of my information for security because they believed I was being scanned. Still no card I tried to reorder and the only option is $500. Plus I can't use coupon now

Unusable if you've already created a login on their web site. The web site login asks for a (landline) phone number, and verifies it via a phone call. But when you install this app, it apparently tries to send a text message to the landline phone number--which is of course impossible. In short, I can't even log into the app. It's worthless.

I like being able to buy a gift card at a discount for the stores I like. Update, I have been using Raise for over two years and I have only had two problems redeeming cards, they quickly resolved the issue and refunded my money for both of them. I now give them 5 stars.

This app has some issues. 1. It's very annoying that I have to verify my device every single time I am doing something. Can't you guys just save the info or something? 2. Why does it navigate me to the eBay website if I just want to check my eBay gift card details? Not only it is not necessary, it navigates me into the incognito mode, so I have to search for my login details and so on. I just want to copy the gift card details! This app is pretty annoying

Don't sell cards and use PayPal account. Luckily I only put one $25 gift card and not any of my $50 gift cards but my PayPal account won't link to their app but it does just fine with any other app I use it on I've used it to buy things I've used it to send money I've used it to receive money. I don't feel comfortable putting my bank account information on apps mailing my withdrawal to me is a $30 fee. Again don't sell your gift cards on here if you plan on using your PayPal account.

This new update got rid of the discount feature, which is what I used it for. Now, instead of getting discounts on gift cards, you get "raise cash" and you pay full price for a gift card. If I'm paying full price, I'll buy direct where I don't have to wait sometimes days for processing. I'm really sad to delete this, but it's no longer useful.

I was charged almost $1800 for gift card puchases that I did not authorize, and they won't help me! I've contacted customer service over 15 times without any help. There should be some feature that verifies your intent when purchases are above a certain amount. I wasn't even on my phone when it was made. They know that something happened in error and won't admit to it and help. We're in the middle of a pandemic, with people struggling everywhere, and this is how they treat a customer!

Thanks for getting my review deleted. I've tried to refer two people to this app only for their purchases to be put on hold and reversed for suspected fraud, when there was no such thing. I have never had a problem but how are you going to sell anything if you won't let new members register and buy things? I love your service and that is just heartbreaking.

Would be 5 stars, but the app sometimes goes full-bright when reviewing a digital card that's scannable, as though I were ready to scan it. There ought to be some feature that lets you control that so it only does that even you're at the POS. Seriously though, this is a great app a and I use it regularly, and I recommend it to anyone. Just... my eyes, man, my eyes... Sun 🌞👀😵

You designed an app that - when I go to copy a gift card number - instead opens the webpage of the place I want to order from? That's an irritating feature on a desktop, and downright useless on an app. Fix this.

If I could leave no stars I would. It started out fine, I got cards, I used cards. I bought a $50 google play card November 30th 2021. Guess what it doesn't redeem. Google is still working on the issue. Raise guarantees a 1yr money back but it's a round and round BS. $50 down the drain. I will NEVER use this app again. It is not safe. If they cannot keep their guarantee then they should shut down the app.

Great site but very glitchy. When you click to check out, it just brings you to the merchants website. Have to try to check out numerous times before it actually works. When you click on reveal gift card details after purchase, it again just brings you to the merchants site. There are other buttons on the site that don't do what they are supposed to do. I'm by no means a web designer, but even I could embed an internal link to go from one section of the site to another. Come on guys...

I used to love this app. Now compared to other gift card discount sites, there aren't any discounts worth the effort to look. I've had raise cash and it's disappeared that I've never been able to use. I hoped this Christmas season it would be better. I was wrong. Uninstalling

Impossible to use. In the app, when you hit 'reveal details', it opens the merchant website and you can't do anything. On the website, the same simply goes into an infinite searching loop and never shows the card details. So I have dozens gift cards I can't use!

I have been a loyal customer for years. I've had a few cards that didn't work, but have been refunded. Right now I have 9 $25 that either have a 0 balance or are invalid. I have tried to get the matter resolved through the 1 year guarantee (purchase was last month). I was directed to contact the brand for help. I was informed by them that it is not their responsibility.

Some vital features, such as listing cards, aren't even in the app. It pulls up a browser for the mobile version of their site, and doesn't even give the courtesy of keeping you logged in there. Their website is full of problems, too: my account was suspended for no reason the moment I created it, and rather than even tell me that it was suspended, it would log me back out with no message after navigating anywhere beyond login.

Not sure what happened to this app but I used mainly for Nike giftcards which at some points were over 10% off now luckily to find 1% off. Since the app updated a few months ago it's been horrible, I'd buy 10 $100 cards and the balances would get all mixed around, I'd scan 1 card and zero it out or delete it then when it save it would be for a completely different card. I complained but there CS didn't care just said they are aware of the issues and are working on it.

SCAM!! Zero Stars! THIS COMPANY ASKED FOR MY PERSONAL INFORMATION THEN DENIED ME ACCESS. They have my license and a picture of me including my payment information. The customer service is awful! The app is bugged. I would NEVER recommend this app to anyone. There are better ones out there. I want a refund!!!!

Horrible!!! Tried buying the same gift card twice. created an account, made the payment and the transaction was rejected and account locked. Created another account, tried again, and same thing. At the end I just paid for the transaction with my credit card. Raise is a scam!

The app seems ok but the customer service is pretty awful. I have been trying to purchase gift cards, first via the website (each purchase errors, I get charged, then I get a refund), then via the app. The app purchase seems to have gone through but "may take 24 hours to process" so we'll see? When the web purchases failed I submitted an email support request but never got a reply. Then later I called for support, the system said I was 3rd and they'd call back, that also hasn't gotten a reply.

Love Raise, BUT the app is HORRIBLE! If you have more then one gift card for the same merchant it tells you one card number that you may have used all the balance and when you delete that card you may in fact be deleting the one with the full balance!!! I have spent the past almost 2 hours on the website printing out all my cards and checking balances! I have many with balances that were erased due to this issue. I see I am not the only one this has happened to! SO HORRIBLE!

It is very hard to get a hold of/get a response from someone when you have issues. They only seem to respond to negative reviews on here so I recommend giving one if you have an issue you need resolved. That being said, I like using Raise. The cards are good 99% of the time and they will refund you once you are able to get a response if you get a bad card. I have saved over $1300 since 2017. I wish they offered extra % off more often like when I first started using the app.
