Random Name Picker

I mainly use this for choosing a game to play, but sometimes we might not be in the mood to play the chosen game or the time. You have an option to reselect another option(s), then if you are ok with the option you remove it from the list, but the name will be there when you reset the names chosen! AWESOME app!

This probably won't be very helpful to many people, but I'm the sort of person who really needs a name picker. I like to write, so deciding between what to do in which scenario can be confusing, and instead of wasting paper, I just use this app instead. I use it frequently, and would really love to see some improvements on it. Maybe like an option to enter pictures AND names, or just pictures and just names.

Best app I have found for fairly, randomly "drawing" names. I always film the name picking via FB Live so there is no room for anyone to feel cheated or the drawing was rigged or unfair. I go through and show all of the names on the list so everyone knows their name was entered correctly then I hit "choose" right there for all to see. Never had a problem. I love that it allows you to create multiple lists at once and draw seperate names for each list, or in my case, each contest or drawing.

An impressively complete app. The dev seems to have thought of everything. It's easy to import a list of items from a text file (my list of ABRSM scales and arpeggios has over 300 entries). You can edit individual items in the list very easily. Items can be chosen only once or multiple times, and the app can read out the randomly selected item automatically. A big thanks is due to the dev. Feature request in presentation mode: option to eliminate delay in showing item and remove drum roll.

First time using the name picker, I must say, it is pretty easy. I like that you can add multiple entries to people's names without having to reenter the name. Before my drawing I wanted to see what the "choose" was like so I made another list of random names. It works brilliantly. And you can choose different wat to reveal the winner. Fun and easy app, must have for a drawing!

This app is amazing. Used it to add movie titles to draw a random movie every week for Friday film night. Also created a list for dif meal dishes on random dinner nights, to keep life interesting. The great thing too is that it removes a name from list when its drawn. That way you're not drawing the same name twice. However if you want to keep them, simply tap the reset icon and all names are thrown back into the pool. Great 5 star app, highly recommend.

This app is really useful for me. I can make separate lists of things and pick a random one. There is only one thing I would change: I would make it so that when it picks one, the one it picked doesn't completely leave the list, but changes colors or something so that I don't have to keep updating the lists. I like that it doesn't pick it again for a while, though.

I needed an app that would randomize items from a list because I play a game that has several variable components. With this app I can organize the variable components into lists and with one click, the app can randomly choose however many items I need from each list so that I don't play the same way every time. No muss, no fuss, no bother!

I had a randomizer app on my old phone that I really loved. Can't find that one now. But this one is very good. It's a simple design. I like that it saves the lists. I do wish I could more quickly make choices one after another. Or that It didn't remove items chosen from the list. But these are minor complaints. This is the best randomizer I can find. It comes in handy.

I really like this app and use it every day in my classroom. As students enter my room, I touch their names on my phone. When the tardy bell rings, any students left over I know are absent. I also use the app to set up groups and to call on students to answer questions. The only issue I had was when setting up groups, there wasn't a history of groups and this has been fixed in a recent update. Great job guys (and gals)!

I really like this app! I'm currently using it while developing an ARPG series, so I have lists like "Level 1 Item Generator" so I can choose at random what players loot from monsters they slay and stuff, depending on the level of the player and the monster they're fighting. My only complaint is, I really REALLY would like an option to re-order your name list.....example, in my "item generator" list, level 10 is between level 1 and 2 for some reason. Would really like this changed if possible!

Just what I need, including list import. Perfectly done, except... the *one* thing that obviously needs to be read easily, the result/choice, is displayed in the smallest font in the whole app. There is another mode where it's big, but you have to put up with a delay/drumroll.

It's exactly what I was looking for... to random select from a list, and remove the selected, so that it doesn't get select twice... AND if you leave the app, it remembers where you left last time... amazing! You can also select in groups. Nice work!

Does the job, but it's rather dull and boring, if you just want a basic random choice then it's fine, but like me - I wanted to do a prize draw and record it,, there is zero excitement in this, actually less than zero, it subtracts from any excitement

I have been using this app for a few days now. I use it to practice making random drinks during speed drills in my battening classes. It is great. Some of my fellow students have started using it as well. I will use it in my own sixth grade classroom with my own students this year. The uses for this app are plentiful. Choosing a meal, a trip, a restaurant, a movie, or many others. User can reset choices anytime. Plus, the app speaks. I highly recommend.

Easy to use, clean design. I love that you can import lists from Google Drive. I use it for D&D character generation, so I'd love if I could pick one thing from multiple lists and display them all together. I also wish I could pick from multiple lists at once--I have lists that work like booster packs and I wish I could "shuffle" them into my main list for random choosing.

Nice, clean interface. Simple. 16/5 No annoying ads. Must give it -1* as it seems impossible to export the groups in any way - so it's useless with large group #s students and classes.

Does the job. Good sound choice. Didn't ask for too much access from phone. Only one recommendation: it would sound more like a real drawing if the voice announces the number one digit at a time (1,2,3,4,etc) instead of reading it as "8 million, 2 thousands, 9 hundred, & so on." Bit this is good enough for me. Thanks!

Very useful if you do giveaways like I do. There aren't any ads that I recall seeing and you can save your slot with all the names in it and add more names later. I recommend using 100%. It's better than the other name pickers I've tried.

I have a HUGE "To Be Read" pile of books and choosing what to read next is difficult because there's so many I want to read. So instead... I use this app to choose for me. I just add the names of my books into a list and click "Choose". Works great and takes the stress (for lack of a better word lol) out of me choosing what to read next.

It's very very helpful when I'm trying to decide on something. It randomly chooses groups names and, if you want, you can make the names catagory into things like me. You can do as many as you want (as far as I know). If you are having trouble with deciding about things, definitely recommended.

You are not actually Duplicating it but instead adding additional entries.. so would be a little better if you just input the total entry number instead of having to remember to deduct one from your total needed... I.E. Jaded, Duplicate entries if I want 50 total in the duplication I have to remember to put 49 ... its a small thing when it is a handful of entries you are adding but when you do 20 plus names and your tally for each must be 1 less it takes more time to go through each entry

Constantly crashes after recent update. Now unusable. Even uninstalled and reinstalled. Can't choose groups at all That was 99c wasted then... Update - Crashes fixed after update. Just wished there was a way to make smaller groups come first when picking teams out of odd numbers e.g. if 21 people and want groups of 4, then it will be 3x3 and 3x4 and the app does that, but it automatically puts the 3x4 first and I need the smaller groups first.

Of all the random name generator Apps I've used over the years, this one does exactly what I'm looking for in a Random Name Picker and more. I like the "subtraction" feature particularly. Say I've 62 names entered, each time I use the "CHOOSE" button , it subtracts one or more names or you can keep hitting the "All Names Restored" button each time before hitting the CHOOSE button and then you will get a really random name GENERATED each time. A magnificent app.

Simple and Fantastic! Good as it is but I do have two minor suggestions, 1 - when you rename someone it would be nice to be able to edit the name and not have to retype it. 2 - to be able to export a list. Regardless, this is a great app!

I've used this app for so many projects, it's been a lifesaver for my indecisive self! :) However, having said that: being someone who uses this app for many different projects, it gets very messy very quickly. I think a folder or tagging system would be incredibly helpful.

I love the design of this app, it's slick and easy to use. HOWEVER, I did a drawing where the odds were very clearly leaning towards one person, yet after drawing 5 times, they still never won. Lol makes no sense. Would be fine if didn't have multiple entries for names.
