PLEASE ALLOW FOR CUSTOM NOTIFICATION SOUNDS WITHIN THE RAPID RING APP. I don't always react to default notifications on my phone so I would like to be able to use custom notifications. Doesn't always work with motion alerts. Almost always works when someone actually rings our doorbell. But I think that's a problem with the ring doorbell and not the app, which is why I'm giving it 5 stars.

This app is the most sensitive ever. It will tell me there is motion going on when nothing is out there moving around day or night. When ever there is wind or rain or both it will tell me that someone is outside at the front door when there is nobody there. When it records audio during a storm the rain and wind will be completely over distorted.

The app is now working fine. I've adjusted the settings on this app & the regular app to work together. Now, when I get a motion sensor and tap on it, it immediately opens to full screen.

Does what it says it does. I guess. Gets you to live view quickly. Still have to open original Ring app if I want to see what set off the motion alert. Just not worth it. Uninstalling.

This is a good app but it picks up if the wind is blowing hard and records any movement from the wind blowing my flags or the bushes by the door. I get a lot of false alarms several times a day. It needs to be improved to show only when a vehicle or someone is in my driveway or my yard. I have tried to set it so the alarm would not ring when there is no one in my yard. Also, half the time it rings after the car or person has already passed my house, which is not accurate.

I cannot download the app on my new phone it says not compatible even tho my 7 year old phone worked fine with it. So I've used this app. Trouble is it does NOT give me options to change any settings on my door bell. And I can't even see past footage. Literally just let's me answer the bell. Quite dissatisfied

Suddenly no longer works. Going to the live view in the rapid ring app constantly fails. When I go to the live view in the standard Ring app it opens immediately and shows all the live view failed attempts in the event history timeline.

Dav. B. Apr 13, 2022

Just downloaded the app. It allows me to do a live view while I am away from. All of the other features are still usable in the original app. The only downside is having to use 2 apps for the same purpose.

Now i say it worth every penys that i paid for rapid ring because it is faster and videos quality very sharper and much more clear than before and for me working just fine.

It only notifies you for first couple of days then stops working. Cancelling it and downloaded again and it did the same thing again. Waste if time

At last an app that opens before the caller gives up. One star deducted for forcing portrait mode on the camera list and landscape on the actual camera view. Moving between cameras means twisting the phone back and forth.

This app is a must have if you are a ring user otherwise it can be painfully slow to use your phone to view movement or visitors. I have the newest and best ring doorbell, 1Gh speed fiber internet and an iPhone 13 the main ring app drags it's feet. Rapid Ring is a great solution. Still, the fact that I have to download a second app to use the doorbell is sad. Even worse is rings unwillingness to become fully compatble with Google Home or Home Hub is prideful and selfish causing me to grow wiery

Thumb nail snapshot doesn't always show much, but I can see if someone is currently in my driveway with the live view - And that I really like, as the ring app won't work on my android phone

Ted. S. Apr 21, 2022

App won't work without also installed the Ring Security app. Unfortunately the new version of that app isn't compatible with my phone so my equipment is now useless. Don't recomend

It does what it says it says what it does. It's a workable alternative to the major or Main use of the Ring app. When or if I don't have my VPN connected through a virus protection app to actually show live view. However I wish this rapid Ring app would the show actual visual in of sequence in the notification browser or drop-down notification browser.

This app may let you view a camera quickly, but gives no thumbnail of all feeds. It is a stripped down app with little functionality. The main app now has an enforced timeline "feature" that you used to be able to turn off. Now you can't, and it takes an extra click to see a live view of a camera AFTER I choose LIVE VIEW already. I used to love my ring cameras, but if they are going to force settings with no turnoff, I may be forced to look at other options. This IS a deal breaker for me.

Works as it should I guess. But it would be great if a triggered event was able to pop up into my screens (phone & tablet) automatically.. unless I'm missing a setting somewhere. The image is good and the sound (mic/spkr) works well enough. Very easy to install and setup. Question: does the geofence feature have issues working the auto change mode if other devices on shared status stay at home? My phone is primary unit and it won't auto change mode when I leave home.

Faster notifications for sure but that's all. When I get a notification, it opens significantly faster so I don't mess what's happening. The application is not polished. Once I "hang up" from the motion alert, it closes the app. I'd rather go back to the main menu so go to other cameras. I've also noticed that if I tap to turn on lights, it acts like it's not working. It gets stuck or will crash the app. In summary, it fixes the slow live feed load time but that is the only thing it really does.

Hmmm. It is quicker than the normal app. But. When I answer the door through it, there is an horrendous feedback noise. If I cancel it and go back in, the sound is perfect. Happens every time. An app problem? Or the doorbell? Who knows. Haven't been impressed at all with Ring Pro. Update. Doesn't do it on an iPhone. Just on Android Samsung galaxy S8.

Like many people have discovered, this app is a waste of time at the minute. Click on 'Go Live', wait three minutes and then get told: 'Can't connect'. On the rare occasions it manages to connect, whatever you hoped to catch on camera has finished by the time it actually starts to work. I have a 500mb/sec mesh WiFi outlet four feet away from the actual doorbell and it still fails to work as it should. Ring is, for now, I'm afraid nothing more than a wonderful idea executed very badly.

Super fast! Doesn't take longer than 3 seconds max to connect! Recommend it for sure! Only thing I would change is the notification sounds, they all use your notification sound you have set for text. So there's no way to distinguish whether it's a camera (let alone which one) or you just got a new message, why don't they allow you to get the sounds you always do

Ric. R. Nov 7, 2019

I like the app overall. It's main function is to open the camera feed faster and that it does. My only gripe is constantly getting dual notifications from both Ring and Rapid Ring. I've checked the message boards and not found a satisfactory answer as to how to stop it. Supposedly, the Rapid Ring app takes precedence over the Ring app for notifications, but that isn't the case. I tried turning off notifications in the Ring app, but then all my notifications turned off.

And. T. Oct 30, 2019

It turned off notifications in the main app, but turning them back on stuck OK - I'm quite happy getting notifications from both apps. Yes, it is faster, and simpler, to get to live view. And that's what it does. After a couple of days I noticed I was only getting notifications from the main app. I started rapid ring and got unexpected error. Uninstalled and reinstalled and all OK for a couple of days. Then I noticed only notifications from the main app. Unexpected error again. Uninstalled.

Fra. T. Nov 27, 2019

Still slow. At first it was a little quicker pulling up the live camera feeds but it got progressively slower over time and now it's just as slow as the standard app, making it almost useless as a live view system. By the time my feed finally loads, whatever triggered it is in the past and I have to pull up the recordings if I want to see anything at all. Super painful when someone is at the door and basically useless. Time to switch.

Little control, no settings - I am really disappointed with software support for ring. This is definitely faster than the ring app. However, there is no configuration you can do. It doesn't honor settings from full ring app - I snoozed motion for a couple of hours on ring app, as there is something going on at my door. I still get alerts every 10 seconds. So annoying. Will probably see other video doorbell next time.

This is an exceptional app. It's fast to load, and does everything needed to monitor all the Ring devices, and cameras connected to the system, without all the bells, and whistles that the fully featured app has. Of course, if the extra features are needed, then you can use the main Ring app, they both work, and without any interference from each app. Installation is easy, so most can install it without asking the kids for help lol. I highly recommend this app if you have any Ring devices.

Ton. H. Apr 7, 2020

Its a great concept and opens incredibly quick. Huge downside, though, is that it overwrites the Ring app meaning it doesn't work with any cameras you have Motion detection on schedules. This is a big miss. Since half of my cameras have scheduled motion, I don't see a point to have a second app installed and only be able to monitor a portion of my cameras. Fully integrate the app with the motion settings (schedules) from the Ring app and you have a winner.

App seems to work, but it's not easily found. There's a bit of lag when opening the app (first few camera selections seem to do nothing). This app doesn't appear in notification settings. This should be the primarily advertised app, most of the time people need to see what's going on right when they're notified. The inability to do so in the main app speaks volumes of how much RING doesn't care. This functionality needs to be baseline, this app needs to be advertised at least to subscribers.

Rapid Ring does work faster on my android phone than the regular Ring app, but all the Ring apps are the worst programmed apps I've seen in years. However, I'll stick to reviewing the Rapid Ring app to vent my frustration. It has one feature that is simply terrible. When viewing live, the app times out around 10 minutes. Then it tries to awaken the dead with an overly loud horrible tone. What is so amateurish about the app is the inability to control this feature. What's so difficult about giving the user this option? What's the purpose for the sound anyway? I know the live view has timed out when the screen no longer shows a live view, I don't need a loud durrrrrr to remind me. Because of this annoyance, I'm forced to use the regular Ring app more often that I want. Unfortunately, it is so bloated and slow that it is seldom worth the hassle.

I've had Ring products for a while and have mixed feelings about them. They seem like a good product but my experience has been underwelming. So whats' the problem...wifi, (good wifi...but might neeed some tweaking ie: a mesh system). Is it the actual cameras??? some seem really happy with them, some not so much. Is it the app, cool with lots of stuff but doesn't function well...at least for me it doesn't. So I thought I would try the Rapid Ring app. Very sparse but so far it does open much faster than the regular Ring app. Perhaps the regular app is a bit bloated ?? I'll have to see how Rapid Ring performs in various situations but it is performing better than the regular app. Maybe Ring can find a happy medium between the two...Really, terrible just like the main app. "The Never home App and Cameras"
